Quick and easy renewal.
I received notification that my Car Insurance was due. So I rang the Winchester Office and was connected to a customer service agent. I was taken through the the normal process of confirming details etc. The premium was acceptable. Within 10 minutes I Was insured comprehensively for another year. So easy. and the Customer Service Agent was so pleasant. Well done.

Charged an outrageous amount to cancel my van insurance after I sold the vehicle.
No claims made or anything. Just a big money grab to get the last penny out of you as you leave. Will not use them again.

Great service & well priced
Have used Howdens for 4 years for our car insurance & recently our house insurance. Every customer service person we have dealt with has been very professional & helpful in helping us find the right level of insurance for the best price. In an age of ever increasing online services & AI chat bots it’s so refreshing to be able to speak with a human being. Also knowing we can speak to an individual in the event of any claim or issues is greatly appreciated.
