Sleazy Unreliable Weird Company
Customer support is terrible and not 24/7.
The instructions on their website are unclear. They are switching providers and are forcing customers to get a new SIM very quickly. SIM activation can only be complete during their business hours (because a support agent need to help? Would be great if the instructions were CLEAR), would be great if they said that first.
SLEAZY COMPANY - AVOID. UNRELIABLE. Only use it if you are okay with funkiness and want the absolute cheapest phone plan

Internet speed is very slow.
International call worked for some days. Then stopped working.
Tried to call customer care.
Never went to them. No use.
Tried to chat. After few minutes it’s asking to rate but no agent was connected in chat at all.
So switched to other provider.

after September 2024 they change the sim card, they change provider also and we didn't able to make international call anymore. I tried to call the customer care, they respond after 50minutes. I don't know what happened there... I'm changing to another provider
Frustrating Experience with Hello Mobile Customer Service
I'm genuinely disappointed with Hello Mobile's customer service. Every time I've tried to get in touch with their support team—whether by phone or chat—it's been a nightmare. They either don’t pick up at all, or I’m left on hold forever, only to be disconnected without getting any help. The chat support is just as bad, often going completely unanswered. When I finally did connect with someone, they didn’t seem interested in solving my issue or even providing useful information. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel ignored as a customer. Hello Mobile seriously needs to improve their customer service, or they risk losing more loyal customers like myself.

This is the worst customer support that I have ever seen. I called customer support, and there was no response even after 2 hours of waiting. There is a chatbot that never works.
Hello Mobile PORT OUT suggestion
Hi,
I was a Hello Mobile customer also. It took 3 days to port out (in order to successfully transfer your line from hello mobile to a carrier of your choice):
1. I sent emails to Hello Mobile email address of support from their website - sample email : "My name is ...... and I have an account with you, acct # .........(you log into your account # and get this info from the up right corner). This is my request to have my security protection removed from my account, so that I can transfer my phone number to another carrier. I need you to remove my port protection lock so that my active phone line to be transferred to a different company. Please email me a confirmation of such ASAP."
They will not send you a reply, but just sent this email to them at least 3 times.
2. Then contact your new carrier company, ask them to submit a request to "port in your number" (they may have this option on their website). They will tell you if your port in request is blocked or not. In my situation my port in request was rejected. So, next I did this:
3. Call 611 from your phone (Hello Mobile customer support line). The answering robot recognized I have an active phone line with them, I confirmed my zip code, then the robot confirmed that I have a request to remove the security protection, you confirm this request by pressing 1 (follow the their instructions). Next, the robot will send you a text with a code in order to make sure it is you that are requesting the port out/transfer of your number. While I was on the line waiting, (and insisting by pressing 1 many times), I got finally the code. The whole time I was on the line, I had to press the code they text me like 5 times, and finally it went thru, the robot confirmed that my security protection was removed.
4. Immediately, I called the new carrier and they were able to transfer my number....while speaking with the new carrier as soon as he was able to port in my number, I got disconnected...which meant that my number was no longer active with Hello Mobile.
So, make sure you order a new sim card from the new carrier of your choice and do not activate it until you do the steps above. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!
Hello Mobile's customer service line…
Hello Mobile's customer service line sucks!!! I waited a little over 3 HOURS to speak with a c/s representative! I understand there may be high call volumes, but it took me 2 days to finally talk to someone after waiting over an hour the other times. This is ridiculous! Part of customer service is not having your customers wait 3 hours for assistance. Perhaps, Hello Mobile needs to hire new c/s rep staff. Hello Mobile, I need you to get it together...and soon!!!

very very bad experience , unable to reach in chat and unable reach on call from 5 attempts. no response nothing . worst experience . once I connect I want to cancel both of my connections from hello mobile. -5(minus 5) for both chat and call center.
Another horrendous experience
Same horrible experience with being forced to change SIM that didn’t work. Without service for a week. Done with this garbage company. You get what you pay for. Try Tello. For about same cost, you get actual support. Only reason I tried them is because I had older phone that no longer worked on Tello network. On top of that, you cannot cancel service online and they won’t answer chat or phones. Guess I will have to dispute charges. Garbage company.

As others have stated about their terrible experience with Hello Mobile, I similarly fell victim to their poor service. The customer service does not pick up phones, they sent E-sim to me without sufficient instructions and it failed to load. There is no functional chat service and emails go unanswered. I am in the process of porting my number and I am 99% sure it will not happen. I lost over 20hrs of waiting on hold on phone in past 5 days. That 1 star is too generous to rate them. We need to bring class action lawsuit.
This company has been a nightmare
This company has been a nightmare. I have had their service for about six months and recently they notified me that I needed to replace my eSim. I have never heard of changing an active eSim but I followed their steps and unfortunately no longer have service. My service has been down for more than a week with no way to contact them. Chat service is never answered even after several hours. Phone support is non existent too. I would avoid this company at all costs. I think my next option is to file a complaint with Federal regulators in the hopes of porting my number out.

Waited patiently for a SIM that never arrived!
Ordered my SIM, waited and heard nothing; then I got an email to say there would be a delay, followed by nothing again, only to then see Hello just cancelled my order! No communication, no reason, left me without the SIM I had been waiting patiently for. Will not use again and sadly I cannot recommend.
scam.. upgraded the plan without notice and dumbest support people.
Worst customer support and without notice my plan was upgraded and charged around $25 for past few months… don’t fall in scam and waste if your time to contact support people…
