I booked a tour through Greca Travel for my parents and selected the 4 star hotel option. The trip took place in the middle of last year.
Unfortunately there was a significant booking error made by Greca. The hotel reservation in Athens had been entered for 2026 instead of 2025. When my parents arrived they were told the booking did not exist and ended up waiting for around three hours while the situation was investigated and alternative accommodation arranged.
They were eventually placed in a different hotel (PLAY Theatrou Athens). While Greca stated that this hotel is also rated 4 mstar, the location and overall experience were very different from the original hotel that had been booked (Athenaeum Eridanus). Even the local tour guide commented that the area was not ideal for visitors.
Greca later acknowledged the booking mistake in writing and apologised. However, the response focused on explaining why the replacement hotel should be considered equivalent rather than recognising the disruption caused. When I replied requesting reasonable compensation for the affected hotel night, my message was never responded to and the matter was left unresolved. The way the situation was framed made it feel as though the issue was being minimised rather than addressed.
It is a real shame because the rest of the trip was great and the itinerary itself showed a high degree of promise. Mistakes happen in travel, but the real disappointment was the lack of accountability once the issue was acknowledged. When an issue did arise, customer service took no real accountability and effectively disappeared rather than working toward a fair resolution.
I was not asking for a refund for the whole trip, only reasonable compensation for the hotel night impacted by their error. Sadly, because of the way this was handled, I cannot recommend Greca Travel.
If Greca Travel is willing to revisit this and resolve the matter fairly, I would still welcome them reaching out.

I strongly advise against booking with Greca. My experience was characterized by a complete lack of transparency and a total disregard for the premium price paid.
Be extremely careful with the salesperson named Paula. She will promise everything you ask for to close the sale, but once the money is paid, she will cut off all communication. The post-sales people are consistently rude, unhelpful, and have no clue about your specific itinerary.
Deceptive Practices: They charge a heavy premium with the promise of "better" hotels and guides, only to provide a very poor selection of hotels and non-English speaking guides at the last minute.
No Transparency: They refuse to disclose specific hotel names or activity details until the very last second. Even then, they change itineraries without notice, leaving you with no control over your own holiday.
Outsourced & Uncontrolled: It is clear they use an outsourced model but have zero authority or quality control over the third parties they hire. You are essentially paying Greca to act as a middleman who disappears when things go wrong.
Failed Communication: Despite advertising a 24/7 emergency WhatsApp number, it never works when you actually need it. We were frequently left in the dark with no communication on what the next steps of our trip would be.
This company is unprofessional and operates with a "take the money and run" mentality. Save your stress and your budget by booking elsewhere.
Abandoned by "Customer Satisfaction" During a Visa Crisis
"Warning to all: Greca Travel provided an itinerary for my wife’s Schengen visa application (Chinese passport), then changed the entire plan on our travel day. This discrepancy created immediate issues with border authorities between Morocco and Spain.
We contacted their 'Emergency WhatsApp' number in a panic, only to be met by a useless bot that asked for our reference number 5 times and then went silent. The so-called Customer Satisfaction team doesn't exist to solve problems—they exist to justify their own negligence and challenge the customer instead of fixing their mistakes. They will never admit to gross wrongdoing; they simply defend it until you give up.
The downgrade from a promised 4A category hotel (like Hyatt Regency) to a "dirty" Stay In hotel is a clear breach of contract and a form of misrepresentation. You have strong grounds for a full or partial refund and official complaints.
Greca has a team called Customer Satisfaction - I’d like to give a massive shout-out to Greca’s leaders. Naming a team that is a stroke of comedic genius—it’s like naming a desert 'The Water Park.'

Our hotels were not central to the city. They were close to the train station but far from everything else. Once we checked into the hotels, we saw Greca Travel booked our rooms through Expedia. We could have done that ourselves. When I tried to change our hotel locations, nobody got back to me until the day before we were leaving which was too late to make changes. The pick-up driver they scheduled arrived at the time our flight landed and only could wait an hour. Greca never notified us that the lines for Customs were incredibly long on the weekends so the driver had to leave and we had to find our own transportation. Then at the end of the trip, the driver never showed up to take the five of us to the airport. Very disappointing!

Be very careful when purchasing a package with Greca: they do not deliver what they promise. In my case, they said all transfers were included, but they were not… Additionally, when I purchased the package, I specifically asked for all ferry routes to be on the high-speed ferry, but that’s not what happened. Even though I paid for it, they put me on a slow ferry from Mykonos to Athens, and I spent six and a half hours getting to Athens. I lost an entire day.
The most ironic part is that midway through the trip they sent an email asking how everything was going. I reported the problems, and they acted as if they never received it. I didn’t get ANY response. I requested a refund for the lost day, but all I got was silence.
On top of that, in Athens, the tours do not include a visit to the Acropolis or the museum. We paid a fortune and yet the package simply does not include visits to the two main points of interest.
I wrote a review on Greca’s website, but obviously, they didn’t publish it.
In short: avoid them—never travel with Greca.

This is the 2nd time that I'm booking my tour with Greca. First time was Greece and the tour went well.
This time, I wanted to visit Spain and Italy and I approached them again. Email replies were prompt for most times. They were flexible with the planning and accommodated with most of the requests.
However, my airport pick up didn't turn up and my 1st hotel reservation was not found. Though they gave a refund, it was still a very daunting experience in a foreign county.
Subsequently, the tour did went well.
Will I book with Greca again? Likely yes.
But do check the master voucher information very carefully. And do reconfirm all bookings before the tour

Excellent customer service, but some miscommunication between the expectations they offer and what actually their local operators provide. We had to rework our tour and pay a hotel on our own at the last minute, once I found out we be hosted far away from the city main attractions. (Türkiye)
Planning months ahead was meaningless, since they actually do the arrangements the week prior to the trip, resulting in unexpected surprises.
Tip: Ask all the questions before booking!

I booked a Greca Tours Trip to 3 islands (Aegina,Paros and Hydra) on Tues. 20 Aug. 2024. Hydra being the first island, we were told to be back at the port at 12.55pm.
When I arrived at exactly 1.00pm, the boat had departed and i then paid 40 Euro for a ferry ticket back to Athens. i have taken many trips but never missed boarding a ship (Ferry) by 5 min . . .and never been left behind on the wharf. It is also important to note that the emailed confirmation of the activity was very poor compared to Get Your Guide Tours. I have also had great difficulty in communicating with Greca Tours in regard to a refund for this 3 island tour
