One of the best insurers I’ve been with. Communication has been great and everything has been no-nonsense and easy to navigate. I’ve decided to move on this year but only due to price comparisons. It... See more

Called today to cancel my policy as I have a new car.
The initial conversation was to my horror but after escalating to the complaints team, Kirsty took over with a swift resolution and to be honest, after giving a 1 star at the beginning, I would try and raise that to a 5. But the 1 star is locked in.
Kirsty, you’re entire approach and management is superb.

No words can do justice as to how bad this insurer is. They charge an extortionate fee to cancel insurance policy, the staff are very rude over the phone and really unclear. Even if they give you the cheapest quote it is definitely not worth insuring yourself with this joke of a company.

The most disgusting, annoying, frustrating, repetitive, incompetent bunch of time wasting idiots that I have ever come across. As I am trying to deal with this problem, i am so angry, that i am again writing this review on this BS company. I am 1h45mins on trying to change a vehicle on the policy. After speaking with 3 people, all being as incompitent as each other and simply just hanging up the call because they cant do the job. Obviously i am left frustrated. I am picking up my new car at 5 and I cannot get it insured. You are an insurance company, what is it that you find difficult about insuring vehicles? You should be shut down, you should not be a business. You cannot frustrate people like this. I could come in without any training and do better job and give better service than your people are giving now. Absolutely atrocious. You deserve a zero rating.

I bought a new car and wanted to move my current policy over to it. Sadly their underwriters didn't cover my new car, which is a big one to be fair. I spoke with Angel on the phone, she went through everything with me, was super helpful. The whole process of getting my NCD, cancelling the policy, working out the early termination charges etc was entirely painless and very well explained. I will miss these guys as insurers! They were the cheapest around, answered the phone when you needed to call, and the one time I had to speak with someone I got someone great. Thanks Angel! We've all had customer support experiences are that are mid, but today was friendly, professional, and concise: much appreciated.

Set all my policy up and a week later got an email to say my pass date was wrong on my application so they were cancelling my policy and I was going to be charged a cancellation fee and an arrangement fee all because of a slight error! Refused to insure me

I am on my second year of insurance with Geoffrey and then purchased a new car. On checking they couldn’t give me a competitive quote so went with another provider. The online portal for documents etc is very good but I needed to talk to someone about either amending or canceling the current policy. (Last Friday) the chat was unavailable and I have poor signal on my mobile at home. So tried again tonight chat working…. But the quote given was extortionately high…. I had to pay a £60 cancellation fee and a £25 fee for something else…………..really annoying ! really disappointed that they couldn’t give an existing customer a better quote, and the fees are way to much. Who can afford £85 to cancel a policy 😡🤯it’s pure greed. Someone has to push a button , file some paperwork they are sitting there being paid to take calls, give quotes and amend policies how does that cost more to cancel a policy. I will never go with Geoffrey insurance again even if it’s the cheaper quote next time ! Blooming skint now -it’s financially tough out there now and the fat cats are defo getting fatter out of unnecessary fees!

Been with them for a while, not made any claims yet renewal increase from £52 to £67, not given any reason. Terrible customer service

my policy expired on 11/4. I didn't renew. Yesterday (14/4) I received a text asking for feedback. I attempted it, but received another text saying the survey was now closed.
This text repeated 14 times between 17:46 and midnight, then a further 65 times today. I called to ask for this to stop. It's distracting and clearly an error.
The operative told me my policy had been cancelled on 11th. It had actually expired that day. she said because I don;t have a policy with them there is nothing they can do. I said I'd have to leave a bad review if they couldn't fix the problem. She asked me to hold while she took advice. When she came back to me, she said that the problem was caused by my marketing preferences, which had now been turned off. I know this was false. During my year with Geoffrey I received no marketing mails. I always decline these when taking out a new service.
Since the call, the messages persist. I tried the chatbot, but it read my posts as an inquiry about payment.
There is no customer service number.
I won't die from this, obviously, but it's annoying and I see it as very unprofessional.
