Valet Parking south terminal was excellent
We used Valet Parking at the south Terminal. Super easy and reasonably priced (compared to taxi to the airport). We were at check-in 5 minutes after we'd parked our car, and back on the road 10mins after collecting our luggage. We'll definitely use again.

Carpark entrance blockage
On return to my car which was parked in the medium stay multi story, as I left the terminal to walk through to the lifts to car park, right in front of the doorway there were a heap of footwear and many men kneeling and I guess praying and would not move. No one was attended this ridicules' event blocking the access to carpark. I understand the airport provide pray rooms so why are these people not stopped, I find it most offensive and alarming as a business you don't have this matter under control.

I would highly recommend this car oark, as you can keep your car key. You don"t have to wait too long for the bus shuttle service either, which is great.
Absolutely do not park at tje other site, where they park your car, as something will be stolen from your car. I mistakenly booked that once, and my jack was stolen

This is the second year of using the holiday parking and we were very pleased with the experience. first year we were sceptical about leaving our keys, but there is nothing to worry about.

Easy booking
Easy booking, can be cancelled if needed. Loved that that barrier rose automatically having read our numberplate, so no tickets required. Car park only about five minutes covered walk from the north terminal so no bus transfer required. Have used this car park before, will use it again.

My feedback is about the valet parking…
My feedback is about the valet parking (the one where you park in the short stay car park and hand over your keys).
I had a similar experience to others who have posted in the sesperate trust pilot gatwickvaletparking.co.uk section which is worth reviewing.
General experience was not positive. A long queue of tired customers meant a significant wait just to be served.
Their printer was not working so were advising customers to press the help button at the exit and ask to be let out.
When I was served at circa 00:30(am) the manager said I was 2 hours early and it would take them 45 minutes to return my car which was not ready. Like most people I had added a couple of hours to my booking as flights, baggage reclaim and border checks routinely add delays and I wanted to avoid an overcharge. I had emailed in advance explaining my rationale seeking reassurance my car would be ready.
The manager explained this is why you need to add your actual landing time. They didn't seem to recognise their service operates in an extremely busy airport and they should have flexibility built into their processes to accommodate people arriving slightly early or late, which surely is routine.
The next lady being served was equally frustrated. She also added hours to her booking to avoid an overcharge. This perculated down the queue and everyone started getting frustrated as others had done the same.
The staff were repeating the same message each time as if this was 'new' to them, but actually was routine.
This isn't adequately explained on the Gatwick website during the booking process
I had a family including a 6 year old which made this an unhelpful and frustrating experience as they were all very tired and we just wanted to get home.
It would have been quicker and cheaper to use the bus service to the long stay car park where you can add additional time to your booking, avoid overcharges and having issues if you arrive slightly earlier than planned.
This was my first time using this service. Will I use it again? Possibly, maybe I was just unlucky and now I've worked out you must add your actual landing time and just hope you land on time. However the other reviews show this is clearly a persistent problem.
The manager gave me an update whilst I was waiting which was helpful, however the whole set up seemed disorganised - not what you need when returning from a long journey.

An expensive but excellent service
An expensive but excellent service, smooth, hassle-free and a short walk to departures (and from arrivals). I would award 5 stars had the instructions been fuller as to the process and directions to the carpark. Having got there one can see why the instructions are so brief - there is only one car park to head for - but prior to the trip one doesn't know that. Suggest they create better instructions that you can print and take with you - most other car park services do this.
