Driver who collected us was rude. We came back to a filthy car, no apology just told they didn’t have time to clean it and the jet wash was broken. Would definitely recommend spending a bit more and u... See more

We had to wait 35 minutes to be picked up yesterday (family of 5). My youngest had to sit on my lap both times because they were picking up more people from South Terminal. Upon collecting our car, the middle row of seats were down and the child seat had been removed and put in the back on my other son’s car seat. The car was filthy inside as well as outside! I asked the guy why the car seats were down and he couldn’t answer me, saying he didn’t know and was sorry. He told me to email in which I have done but obviously I have had no reply. Today we have a flat battery so they are clearly doing something dodgy. Using our cars to transport building site material as my husband said! Based on the other reviews, I think this answers our question.
Wish I had seen the other reviews before booking because the comparison website I used to book had good reviews. Always worth doing further research!
Absolutely shocking!
Absolutely shocking! Unlike all the other offsite providers they don’t operate a proper shuttle bus. They seem to have a couple of minibuses that only have 8 seats that they deploy when you call them. But obviously availability depends on how busy they are. On returning from my recent trip I waited 45 minutes for the minibus and there were 12 of us waiting so 4 people missed out. I can only imagine how much longer they had to wait. Also be aware they seem to park the car on a building site. It came back filthy. Had to pay for a valet the day after o returned so the cheap parking option really wasn’t worth it! Avoid at all costs.
Avoid GAPS Park & Ride at Gatwick
Avoid GAPS Park & Ride at Gatwick — in our experience, genuinely worrying.
Drop-off was a dirt and gravel wasteland with a battered hut, nothing that felt like a proper facility. One number didn't work. The other went straight to voicemail.
The shuttle in felt overcrowded, children on laps, no seatbelts. We felt unsafe but had a flight to catch.
The real problem was on return. Flight landed 11pm. We left three voicemails over an hour, no answer. Their van turned up and left without us, we "weren't on the list."
We made our own way to APH's site nearby via their shuttle (APH's driver was excellent, we'd recommend them instead). When we finally reached GAPS by phone, they claimed they'd received none of our messages. Promised the car in 2-3 minutes. That became four more calls and 20 minutes of waiting. They were sending my calls to a voicemail, yet when we called from another phone - they picked up. Their own site was in darkness as we left the area.
Car was handed over roadside at 1:30am. Two young children, four cases, no apology, no explanation. At one point we were concerned enough to consider calling the police.
When we got the car back, fuel seemed considerably down and mileage considerably up from when we left it. Our phone holder had been removed, and the radio station had been changed. In our experience, it had all the hallmarks of the car having been used while we were away.
Based on our experience, pay more and go elsewhere.
They seemed to have tried to bury their old TripAdvisor account as the reviews are bad. But they can’t erase history and they’re just building a new account of bad reviews.

Used GAPS Park and Ride at Gatwick in July and won’t be using them again.
We arrived back at Gatwick just after midnight with three children, only to be told the transfer would be around a 45-minute wait, despite the company advertising transfers every 10 minutes. When I questioned this, the member of staff simply hung up on me.
When the transfer vehicle finally arrived, it was dirty and had an unpleasant smell, making an already frustrating experience even worse.
To top it off, our car looked as though it had been parked in a field for a year. It was absolutely filthy, and we ended up paying extra to have it cleaned because of the condition it was returned in.
The site is also poorly signposted, making it difficult to find in the first place.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend GAPS Park and Ride and will definitely not be using them again. They could do with reviewing their working model to better serve customers.
Brilliant parking service! 10/10
I do not understand the bad reviews at all! Location couldn’t be any easier to find! Upon arrival there’s an office and it’s literally as easy as handing your key over and your taxi is waiting, it’s about ten minute drive to airport and it was smooth, dropped off right outside the terminal.
Landing was the same, called the number I was given, quoted my reg and within 15 minutes our taxi arrived and took us to our car, same as before approached desk and quoted reg, key was given and off we went!
Absolutely no complaints whatsoever, totally worth the price, staff were friendly and approachable!
My experience was a pleasant one and I’d use them again everytime 10/10 service.
They gave us a number to call on which didnt work
They have us a number to call on arrival. Called the number multiple times, but it wouldn't go through. Could not get in touch with them in anyway. Eventually after 40 mins they picked up and said we need to go to bus station 7 so shuttle can take us. Why on earth did they just not write this on original receipt? Anyway went to bus stop 7, the shuttle collected us then took us to reception. We had to wait in reception for another 30mins before they brought the car. This is the worst experience ive ever had with airport parking.
DO NOT USE
They crashed my car into a third party and wrote off my car, lied to me about the circumstances of the crash, then took no liability, drawing out my insurance claim costing me my excess and longstanding no-claims bonus. Didn't ever reply to my emails to recoup my onward travel costs then left my car in a controlled parking space to collect parking fines. DO NOT USE GALAXY PARKING OR GAPS PARK AND RIDE.

Very rude staff caused us to miss our flight. We arrived a bit later than expected but called 30 minutes before to let them know when we would be arriving. There was a car and driver available and we were forced to wait 20 minutes with a baby causing us to miss bag check in for our flight and consequently miss our flight. Even though direct transfer is advertised. They then say its every 15 minutes but the last bus went at 5:30 and we had to wait until 6am.
Poor Service
Car was fine and damage free, however the service leave a lot to be desired. Non verbal staff when arriving making it a very chill first impression and pick up driver had us waiting for 40 mins and had to be chased up. Would not recommend or use again.
AVOID.
Would give 1 star if I could.
Not disability friendly, and even when told what requirements are needed they do not cater to it. Instead they leave their disabled customers to feels humiliated at the struggle of getting in and out of their very high vans. Would not recommend.
HORRENDOUS
HORRENDOUS. DO NOT USE. Please be aware that they change the company name on here as well! They also advertise as GAPS PARK & RIDE GATWICK. Would have given zero stars if possible. We arrived at the parking and got the frostiest reception. The transfer driver arrived, put us in his van (which was absolutely filthy and stunk) then drove off somewhere and didn't say anything. I asked reception where he had gone and he said he would be back soon. He then arrived back about 15 minutes later in what was clearly a customer's Mercedes and reversed it into another customer's BMW! They told us we would wait 30 mins to be collected when we get back from holiday. We called them 40 mins in advance and they said they would be there then their mobile number disconnected completely and the landline didn't work either so we had no way of contacting them. We waited an hour. The other lady in the van on the way back said they messed up her booking, she missed her flight to Copenhagen and had to get a taxi to Heathrow and lost over £300. Thankfully our car was OK when we returned and I kept an eye on where it was as I have a connected app. Please do not use this company. And please, to the transfer driver, wash your armpits mate because you smell horrendous!
