Always nice and easy to book holiday with ETI. We go from Denmark to Hamburg and then to HurghadaEasy to book, easy to be picked up and transferred to hotel. Nice to stay at hotel with all inclusive up till one hour before departure to airport.

On our trip to Egypt we had to change rooms because of the mold in the bathroom and a faulty air conditioning. The reception staff were helpful, but the German-speaking guide was of no help.
Neither he nor his English-speaking colleague could help when we wanted to book an excursion in English, here we had to find a Polish guide who could help, only to later find out that the guide on the tour was our own English-speaking guide, who could not help and had said that the tour was only in German!
Although both guides knew that we were sick, there was no help from them, they did not ask afterwards if we had recovered, fortunately the reception was again helpful.

I have never in my life experienced such an appalling level of customer service and negligence from a travel company as I did with ETI (Express Travel International).
Our holiday to Egypt turned into a complete disaster, and ETI’s reaction was not only dismissive but shockingly unprofessional. We faced serious issues at the hotel – problems that we immediately reported to the local ATI travel agent as instructed. He told us to speak directly with the hotel manager. We documented everything thoroughly – with over 60 detailed photos uploaded via a Dropbox link as hard evidence.
And what did ETI do? Nothing.
They outright ignored this evidence. They chose to make a decision without reviewing a single photo. Instead of helping their customers, they hide behind empty excuses and bureaucratic responses that blatantly disregard the reality of what we experienced.
They even had the nerve to say there was no complaint made on-site – completely ignoring the communication we had with their own staff in Egypt. How is that acceptable?
This is not just bad service – it’s gross negligence. ETI does not care about their customers after they’ve taken your money. Their so-called “customer service” is nothing but scripted apologies and form-letter rejections.
If you value your time, money, mental peace, and dignity as a paying customer, do yourself a favor and stay far away from ETI. There are many other reputable companies that actually care when things go wrong.
This was our first and absolutely last time booking with ETI. We are currently seeking legal advice and are considering escalating this issue publicly – because no one should go through what we went through.

I had a very unpleasant experience with ETI and feel the need to warn other travelers. First of all, the information provided in the holiday advertisements does not match what you actually find on-site. The promises made on their website or in brochures are misleading and do not reflect reality.
Secondly, the ETI representatives in Egypt act unprofessionally. From the very beginning of the trip, tourists are misled with various stories just to convince them to buy optional excursions at heavily inflated prices. If you choose not to purchase these services, their attitude changes completely – they no longer take you seriously and simply tell you to file complaints on the website where you booked your vacation.
In conclusion, I find ETI to be a company that lacks transparency and professionalism. It was one of the most disappointing travel experiences I’ve ever had, and I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

Everthing went smooth with ETI. The Booking via Ab in den Urlaub. The payement, the information. Receiving the relevant documents. The quality of the flight and the transfer in Egypt. All our expectations were according the price.
ETI was always quick respondent and…
ETI was always quick respondent and helpful. We booked the vacation almost last minute and during booking we had several issues for the payment - as most services of Microsoft went down, our bank transfer/card did not work and had delay in payment. ETI was easily reachable, contacting to us for updates and made it possible that we didnt face any price changes or cancellation of booking.
4-stars instead of 5 because in Hurghada, we went to ETI counter for the visa and were asked for 87 Euros instead of 75 official visa fee/written in travel docs for 3 people. You can get your visa in any counter, we went directly to ETI one and okay it was easier as they didnt check anything and just asked the hotel name and gave the visa. But as we already prepared all travel docs in advance, I wouldnt have preferred to pay 12 euros more just not to show the docs. And also realized it was negotiable; if you already know the price and give the exact amount they dont ask for more or they just tell different amounts to different people randomly.
Also in airport for transfer we were directed to wrong bus initially byt the welcomers; but luckily staff running shuttles were so helpful and managed to find the right one quickly. In the hotel ETI staff were also helpful and friendly. As we speak little German, sometimes English conversation were harder for them. We would prefer a later transfer to the airport considering airport is quite small and in our flight time/sooner there were not many other flights scheduled. So we recommend that ETI may check how busy the airport might be and may offer some flexibilities in transfer: there was another transfer one hour later but we were not allowed to take it. I understand they take people from different hotels but they may optimize the size of the shuttle; like instead of giving the transfer info just one day before check-out, this can even be arranged earlier and they can organize the shuttle accordingly.
Overall we were happy and may book again with ETI

We had the best holiday, - and also saved money by traveling with ETI and not a Danish travel agency.
Stayed at Grand Makadi for 10 days, nice people, and surprisingly good food. We are very pleased!

Nicely priced hotel but could still improve a lot and has a lot of extra costs
We have been to Egypt more than 30 times and visited many different hotels. This is our evaluation of Grand resort:
Hotel has a great location: very close to airport so you do not waste a lot of time to get there, and there ar shops left and right from the hotel which makes it nice to walk in the evenings. it is also very safe. Also, you can stay in your room till checkout (big plus!). Employees very friendly. Food is okay. There is one big restaurant and one small main restaurant (with a different theme every evening and only adults). There is enough choice every evening.
Yet, you are asked to pay extra for a lot of things, which is a bit disappointing when you arrive and also explains why the hotel is comparably cheap to other hotels. A proper cocktail costs extra, as well as Wifi out of reception area, drinks in most a la cart restaurants (only food is free), and good coffees. The animation in the hotel is also very bad, they do not stick to the animation schedule and do hardly any activities. They are very friendly though. One activity in the evening that they organized you also had to pay extra for. For the rest there is little to do in the evening inside the hotel except for a drink in the bar or lobby (where everyone is on their phone).
There is also relatively little place to sit outside in the evening. Only one bar is open, it would be nice if they created more seating. They have some great other bars.
Rooms are okay, clean and not noisy. The bathroom could need some renovation as it looks old and we still had an old fashioned TV (no flatscreen).
There is also a big problem with towels: when you enter your room in the evening there are usually no towels as they need to clean the ones they took away in the morning. The hotel would benefit if they would increase the number of towels so room cleaning can put towels here immediately.
Beach towels are provided
You can easily access the beach but be aware that they make a strict distinction between guests from the palace accommodation and ours.
Cancellation without a valid reason
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with ETI, leading me to question their reliability and customer service commitment. Despite having my reservation confirmed, it was abruptly cancelled by the agency without any prior warning or a clear explanation, leaving me in a challenging situation.
I hope that by sharing my experience, others can be aware of the potential issues when booking with ETI. I also hope that the agency takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to improve their communication and customer service. A more transparent and customer-focused approach would significantly enhance their reputation and customer satisfaction.

5* service. Complaining about details (dust in a bus trunck) is easy and for sure of no added value...
I had 3 trios so far at least with ETI. Absolutely nothing to complain about. People take their job seriously and this is way more important than dust in a trunck... unless you also want to argue about the plane´s trunck ;-).
For the price was good
For the price was good! The room is old and só the hotel! But that’s what you get for the price you pay! The rest is good, people are welcoming, and I liked the ambient of the hotel, my favorite part was the beach, and the reef, that is what made the trip worth it!
We go to the Makadi Palace for more…
We go to the Makadi Palace for more than 18 years…it is the first time we booked the hotel separately by Eti and fly via Belgium Brussels…much easier for us we live near Antwerp! The hotel is still a special place for us …1001 night…oke sometimes there are things that can be better such as the old rooms…the chairs and umbrellas and towels are due to renew…for the rest very good staff and always sun!
We were not on the passenger list
We booked a trip through EТI one day before departure. They sent us all the documents, but it turned out that the tour operator had not updated the passenger lists and we were unable to fly on Sunday at 6 am. It was very annoying, customer service was not available on Sunday. There was only one hope that someone would answer by email. At 10.00 the manager answered us and we were put on another flight, on which we were also not on the list of passengers and there was one ticket missing for our friend. It was terrible. Thank God one place became available at the last minute. I was outraged that the support service did not work 24/7 and because of operator errors.

The staff was okay,everything depends if he will get tips or not.That is bothering, because sometimes they are asking for tips on rude way or make you feel uncomfortable.
Agency/hotel excursions are too expensive, we found much cheaper.
But the beach was super good!
The Red Sea is amazing, fascinated from the coral reefs , fishes and sea animals.

Do not trust ETI
The worst experience in my life.
The ETI company doesn’t care about you at the time, when you paid them. Do not trust them!!
1350 EUR for 7 day holiday, where actually it will be 6 days and from the beginning everything is not right. No one will compensate anything to you.
The contract written in the way, that even if they will sh.t on you, they will not be wrong.
1) They postponed the holiday. Originally we should arrived to Egypt on Saturday 13:45, but they postpone it to Sunday 21:45.
So we should pay for Sunday still, but loose the day, because arrival is at night.
2) They do have contract with worst airline company AMC airlines. The flight delayed for 9 hours. They gave as apology 10 eur voucher that we could use inside of the Airport. Incredible…
3) They do not apologize, as they are not responsible for the airlines, even if that airlines poorly works on contract base with travel agencies. The insurance is the worst one, that they offered. For one hour delay of flight they will return 8 eur.
4) They will not compensate anything, will not be helpful, do not even apologize for the issues.
5) The hotel Grand Waterworld Makadi is in bad shape. The food quality is very far from the description they provide.
6) The only good thing is the service, but only if you are giving to everyone a good tips. Without tips, no one will be willing to help.
7) Taxi is trying to cheat you. Asking 60 euro to go to Hurghada and back, while Uber cost is 8 euro there a back.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of service provided at the hotel of grand waterwold makadi during my recent stay. Despite the establishment being advertised as a 5-star hotel, I found several aspects of the service to be far below the standard one would expect from such a prestigious rating.
Firstly, upon visiting our family room we ware very disappointed. This was particularly frustrating given the 5star rating and the amount we paid for the trip, the master room was ok but the kids room or more like the leaving area converted as room using the sofa bed which in the junior room was used as a leaving area.
And the worst part was the toilet which was more like 1to2 star hotel with rusted shower head we straight away asked for another room and upon viewing we had not choice to accept since they said all rooms are more or less the same at the point we wanted to leave but could not afford to waste more money.
Additionally, I found the cleanliness of the hotel to be lacking. The bathroom in our room had visible signs of wear and tear, and there were stains on the shower wall that remained even after housekeeping had supposedly cleaned it. Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the hallways and common areas were not maintained to a high standard.
Also I am not sure what was the issue with the toilet paper but they ware lacking to provide one and from day one we had to wait very long to get one.
The issue did not end their as the bathroom sink was leaking all the time and making the floor wet which was annoying.
Finally, the quality of the food and beverage offerings in the hotel fell very short of my expectations. Despite having multiple restaurants, the actual taste and presentation of the dishes were underwhelming. the service in the restaurants was great but the 3 buffet restaurants really lacked food, the only place we found that we could eat was the kebab island and we tried LA terraza which was a big fail.
Plus there is only one option to eat until 5pm the pizza which most of the time they would closed at 4pm to make think worse the lady would only try to give you two small slice and no more.
I must say the resort at night is amazing with all the lights but in the morning you can see all the broken tiles in the swimming pool.
To add to the list most of us become sick because of the food or what ever caused it, we really could not wait to be home and ETI transportation did not help since they ware late by 2hours and to make it worse they send another agency to drop us to the hotel - CET.
Overall, I must say that I was disappointed with the level of service at the hotel, which did not match the advertised 5-star rating. I hope that you will take my feedback seriously and take the necessary action as an agency I believe you should know what you are selling, and it felts like I paid for nothing and I am not even covering all in details.
