On our trip to Egypt we had to change rooms because of the mold in the bathroom and a faulty air conditioning. The reception staff were helpful, but the German-speaking guide was of no help.
Neither he nor his English-speaking colleague could help when we wanted to book an excursion in English, here we had to find a Polish guide who could help, only to later find out that the guide on the tour was our own English-speaking guide, who could not help and had said that the tour was only in German!
Although both guides knew that we were sick, there was no help from them, they did not ask afterwards if we had recovered, fortunately the reception was again helpful.
