Quick dry brilliant white gloss. An horrendous product. Where is the gloss then?. I have just primed and painted a hardwood door in this solution. 7 coats later and i'm still working on it. Its runny, watery, blotchy, shows brush marks and lacks colour. Definitely no gloss shine at all, Its more like Satinwood.
I will never buy this again, £25 i will not get back.

I've just painted a small bedroom with Lemon Zest walls and ceiling washable Dulux from a hardware store, and I wasn't expecting it to be up to the best standard. It was such a small job though I thought this would do, but I would never use Dulux paint again after this job. Even after four coats the finish was patchy and uneven, and that was on top of the undercoat. It also dries unevenly with often brush marks still visible. I ended up having to get another can just to get that coverage, so it cost a lot more than if I'd used higher end, slightly more expensive paint. Not to mention the time it takes to do four coats.
The paint also just forms a kind of membrane over the wall, so if you get a blemish or nick, it all comes away in ribbons.
Overall this paint of of such poor quality I'm actually surprised its on the shelves. How a company this big and with so much experience can produce something this sub standard is beyond me. Anyway, you live and learn!

Just an update on my review of Dulux Heritage. I was contacted by Joanne who apologised about the handling of my complaint and has refunded the cost of the paint in full. I still maintain the paint was poor but full marks for her input from customer services.

After going to extreme lengths to prep my lovely purpose built wardrobes, I chose a Satinwood (once) finish.
It's not satin, it's gloss, the finish is appalling, so I'll have to give it another coat, or rub it down and buy yet another pot of paint.
I chose Dulux thinking it was best, it's NOT!!
Also the smell was atrocious, I wore a face mask to use it and, I probably can't sleep in that room for 24 hours.
I wish I'd chosen another paint.

I have always bought Dulux wall & ceilings emulsion. It has always proved successful. I have just bought three tins for various household room painting jobs. The Rock Salt I have just opened is very thin in texture, not like Dulux more like a cheap brand. Have they changed process and watered it down. I will have to try other brands now, so disappointed . Update, have been contacted by Jess at Dulux, sent the information and they have investigated, no change to process and they have offered explanations to possible cause, weather, storage etc. date of manufacture confirmed recent. I did not ask for them to contact me, and I am happy to with the findings and excellent customer awareness.
Well done you in this age of shrinking product
and the customer is expendable, you listened, explained and made me feel or worth again.

With more companies using automation when we contact them with queries, the experience can vary greatly. Some do it better than others.
Yesterday, I had a very refreshing experience with Dulux. I had a query about an order I believed I had placed, and Tariq from Dulux was tremendously helpful. His support went above and beyond my expectations, something that does not always happen.
Great work, Dulux and Tariq! I’ll definitely be recommending Dulux to my friends and colleagues.

I’m new to the world of custom colours and paint mixing (I’ve only ever bought paint ready-mixed, straight off the shelf before).
So I thought I was in safe hands ordering from Dulux.co.uk (AkzoNobel).
Paint arrived reasonably promptly. All good, or so I thought.
When it came to using the paint, I opened the first tin to find the (expected light blue) paint was brilliant white with a dot or two of crimson red, and a streak of deep blue. Sort of Neapolitan.
Of course it’s a Friday evening, so there’s no one on a helpline to advise; knowing nothing about mixing paints, I assume this is usual and you have to stir it yourself to the required colour.
About half an hour later, vigorous stirring, the paint actually starts to resemble the colour I thought I was buying.
Now the nightmare really starts, painting it on the wall, everything is going fine until all of a sudden, with a single brush stroke or roller roll, a deep crimson streak appears in the light blue. Again and again, despite more vigorous stirring.
Part way through this fiasco a friend Facetimes me and, telling her what’s happening, she can’t stop laughing, explaining to me that Dulux have sent me un-mixed paint. So, thanks Dulux!
I reached out to Dulux.co.uk in light of my experience, offering them an opportunity to comment on my review. Their response was an immediate apology for “a genuine human error”, an offer to resend the order (correctly mixed) and a token of goodwill for the inconvenience (voucher for their website).
I declined the re-sending of the paint, I’d already replaced it at Wickes over the weekend. I also declined the token of goodwill as, once bitten, twice shy, I’ll stick to getting my Dulux paint in person at Wickes in future. (Wickes have a Dulux mixing machine... just in case you wondered 'why Wickes'.)

Horrendous service, the delivery is incredibly slow, and when you email it says testers are sent through next day delivery when it’s actually 5 working days (though I am currently waiting nearly 2 weeks for my order). Website is glitchy, and loads of stuff out of stock.

Trying to buy paint for exterior door but despite my wife and I trying for 20 mins on separate phones we gave up and went to farrow and ball. Confusing filters which contradict each other and woeful design. It’s like the person who designed it never even tested that you can actually buy paint.

There was a slight problem with my paint ( I chose the wrong product).
I can honestly say I have never experienced such a good customer service team, a bench mark for others to aspire to.
Well done team and thank you.

The adviser told me all I needed to know about sikkens product and if I could use it on existing varnishes.

Had a problem with a batch of paint in the wrong tin. The advisor logged a case and sent a voucher to make up for the mistake which was really good of them. Handled really well, really good customer service thankyou.

I've used the dulux uni-primer now for a couple months.. when a rep told me about it I let it go over my head as a sales tactic.. companies always preach a new product and its normally a let down.. but....
Hold my hands up I was wrong..
It's great... decent coverage for a change and really sticks once sanded the surface down.. great alternative to zinsser bin aqua... its now one of my go to products...

I bought 2.5 litres of Dulux Cotton White Matt to cover a flat cream wallpaper (with tiny sky blue flowers). I painted 12 square metres and had a small amount left, but the tin said it would cover 35 square metres. After 4 coats of paint, the blue flowers are still visible. I should not have to paint a wall with 5 coats of paint to cover tiny blue flowers. The paint is thin and runny. Really not adequate for the job. It was expensive and I’m really disappointed that it’s taken so long and yet I still need to buy more paint to get a decent coverage. I’ve worked so hard to make the room lovely and I’m pretty heartbroken that all my efforts are just not enough to make the walls look great. A mediocre product not fit for purpose.
