I am externally SHOCKED about the poor level of customer service that we received from Capitec.
Good moring. We started the loan application this morning in regards to a incident with my mom that happend last night were a wheel and metal rim got damaged beyond repair. We did the loan application and the amount that was pre approved was +/- R7948. I called this morning because your WhatsApp bot keeps saying the same phrases over and over and over again.
Ireached out to a lady Seipati, that was not willing to assist me in helping my mother explain what happened as i was the codriver in the vehicle, my mom was in schock from last night mishap and i offerd to explain what happened to speed the processes up, But hur answer was a unequivocal NO. My mom is in still in shock SHOULD All ELDERLY Poeple that are some of your best customers be treated liked this all day what i can say is what a disgrace to service delivery!
I would like talk to a head of department, COO or CEO if they are man enough to correct faults acnolage there faults

Customer care what's upp no is un helpful..go into branch they can't help ..they have to phone Customer care from bank who are the same people on what's upp..go figure this one...u can't even get a e mail printed out on ur query at branch level..what as the world come to now??

What a professional client care service provided by Siziwe, the language used, the tone, the product knowledge the skill to resolve a problem let alone understanding the dynamics of the issue and letting me know upfront and how best can it be resolved in the event. The overall service was to the t and wish she could be a team leader and teach the team to do the same and all customers would be happy just as I am. She knows, loves and respects her job and put Capitec customers first. Proud to be Capitec customer because of such a service which would not be there if she did not choose to be nothing but the best. Whoever, trained her, trained a willing person to do the right thing. Sabelo - online banking manager at Capitec, along with everything about Capitec is honestly a big joke! The worst bank to ever exist - no functionality! How does it take 2-4 weeks for international transfers to reflect and no access to banking with no access to your South African number. Be better

Capitec should not be in business banking. Told me I need to go in and sort out an online issue. went to the Glen who advised that only Bedford Centre did business banking. Went in there and was referred to another office park. Lady there was unable to assist but sent a query through. 4 days later there is still no response.
Online is 💯 useless and tell you what the problem is without trying to resolve

My account was somehow closed over the weekend. Despite bringing this to Capitecs attention, there has been no sense of urgency to get this sorted. I have called the 0860102043 number i have called the international number, no answer on either of these so wouldnt qaste your time calling. The whattsapp chat line is manned by what i can only assume is very junior staff who have no idea. The emails to capitec care team, and capitec care and all the rest of the emails including ceo@capitecbank are not monitored. Great interest if simple banking is what you are after, but dont put more than R10000 in, because you are going to loose it, and all capitec will do is shrug their shoulders.

I bought a capitec connect sim in order for me to buy capitec data,but the worst part is that I bought a 10 gigabytes of data on the 29th of April 2029 and on 02 May 2024 my 10 gigabytes data was already finished.
I trusted this bank not knowing I could experience this.
I went to the bank to enquire and I didn't get good response other than finished my 10 gigabytes in two days.
In my previous plan I used to buy a 5 gigabytes of data from vodacom and it mostly get expired after 14 days .

My initial email was sent by a family friend (Gillian Venter) who’s been assisting me with the deceased estate of my father.
I have since gone to a branch to have two original documents to be scanned by a branch consultant. I have called. I have complained online.
Something is yet to come from this!!
I need this matter to be sorted ASAP actually not as soon as POSSIBLE but immediately!
I got a call yesterday from Zubair Adams and supposedly that was the update for the day asking what Gillian’s involvement in the matter is when it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with ANY OF YOU. Also I do not consider the afore mentioned an update during said “investigation” that is ongoing!!
Someone needs to contact me right away and I need a solution or resolution of the matter as this is turning into a circus act!!

Capitec is truly bad. Ot suck big time at customer service. I logde a complain of an online scam going on, scammers ising capitec accounts. Scammer get people to send money into their capitec accounts. But capitec couldnt care less. I mean i send them the accounts to investigate but up until now nothing . its a chance for them to caught these scammers but its not.there money so they unbothered.

Their app is so convenient now they’ve just introduced the license disc renewal system and my experience with its a top notch .. i renewed my disc on tuesday around 7pm that was after hours and i woke up Wednesday that my parcel is on its way and i was so shocked to receive it on Friday morning @8am … what i like the most is that every time they introduce something they investigate our expectations and do more than we expected❤️💙
Worst of all the banks in SA
I've applied for a product, was sent a reference and told I will be contacted within 48 hours. I was not contacted. Then I went into the physical bank for assistance, spent almost an hour there, just to be told the same (that someone will call me the next day, Ash made a promise and lied) - no one ever called. Ever since then I've been reaching out to Capitec and even contacted customer support. Just to be told again someone will contact me "soon"... when I ask a time and date, being told AGAIN within the next day or two... which never happens. It's now been almost two weeks with no resolution, no contact made, no response.
Plus on top of this I've had THREE Clearscore inquiries and one from another one against my name, enquiries made by Capitec. My score is great, my track record is fantastic, the lack is just THEIR service and response.

I asked the bank to reverse the funds if possible or release them rather than the funds dwelling in my account not being accessable but nothing has been done soo far ever since the 20th December and I was promised it will be resolved within 7 days ref 116297668
Capitec bank is worst
Capitec bank is worst there is no bank as bad as Capitec Bank. Every week they send me messages i must apply for a credit cart with them. Now i have applied for a credit card with my credit score of 842 so its excellent. and i do have another Fix savings account with more then R700000.00 and Permanent Job and good salary now i don't qualify for a R60000 credit card. Bull**** reason affordability. i don't own nothing on my other accounts all paid up. Why do they send letters that you can apply for a credit cart. I going to close all my accounts with this **** bank don't need them. Have my Capitec account from 2016. People this bank is bad news don't waste your time and think you going to get somewhere with Capitec.
I do have 2 Credit cards with other banks and they treat me very well the only reason why i thought of applying at Capitec is to cancel the other credit cards and just use Capitec as my salary is bank at Capitec.
Pathetic Service and the worst bank in South Africa
On the 1st of Feb 24 I received a email from Capitec (Nadine Arendse) Stating she is trying to contact me regarding this matter. I phoned her 2 time and was told she's busy let message to phone me. She retuned my call as was apologizing about this case. and ask me to send my latest pay slip to her, I did that the same day. On the 6 Feb 24 at 7h55 I emailed and ask if there is any feedback. I send a second email at 16h20 on both emails i have received Request read receipt. On the 7th i received a email from Abigail Van Wyngaardt Kindly note we have escalated the matter to our Direct loans team for assistance with a credit application, once feedback is received, we will be in contact with you.
Up to now i have not received any feedback. Pathetic service im closing my accounts asap there is better banks. Please read the media about Capitec. Just Google worst bank in South Africa.
On the 16Feb 2024 i have received a SMS from this Pathetic Capitec bank. The SMS read as follow: Your credit application was declined because your employer is not listed with Compuscan. What a joke of a bank. In the mean time i have applied for a credit card one of the major banks and was approved in les then a hour. People don't waste your time with this Capitec bank there is nothing good about them.

I would have gave Capitec a minus 5 star if it were possible. Yesterday I received an sms that payment of my loan will get deducted earlier this month, I called Capitec to tell them that I only get paid as per contract agreement. I holded on for an hour to get to their collection department, They tranvered me 1 times where after I end the call and went to their WhatsApp chat site. There i waited 1 minute for siphokuhle to answer. To no avail... later I tried again and chatted to Lauren who confirmed that payment will only get deducted as per contract. This morning I woke up and checked my bank balance, and the fkrs deducted the money. this were the second month in a row where they bridged the contract, I went on to their WhatsApp again and asked why to what I do not have an clear answers as of yet. As far as this person explained, Capitec have got a app that check their customers bank accounts the whole time to see if there i money they can deduct, it doesn't matter if it i a different bank. I chatted for an hour and a half, waiting time about an hour an ten minute in total, with no clear answer till. I will strongly advise any one to not do busyness with Capitec in any form!!!

Money Swallowed by ATM is going to take 7-14 to be investigated
Someone please explain to me if I am overreacting or not...
This morning (02/01/2023) just after 09h00,I deposited R8k+ st an ATM in Woodmead Retail Park. The ATM screen read "Transaction Cancelled", and spat out my business card.
Went immediately into the branch so that they could assist me. We sat on the line until 11h00 only to be told the matter takes 7-14 days to be investigated and resolved.
The thing that comes to mind is, what happens to my bills for the 7-14 days that Capitec thinks is a good enough timeline to resolve a matter such as mine?
Is there no batch close on each end of business to see how much was in excess to what Capitec has records for?
For a matter that I have nothing to do with, this whole thing is nonsensical! That's Capitec's ATM not mine. You just need to release my money and fix the error on your end.
And dare I see one response saying "we have escalated your query and have given feedback..." The matter here is 7-14 days, which is totally unacceptable.
Extremely dissapointed with the service…
Extremely dissapointed with the service provided by Capitec Bank. I contacted Capitec Bank in Nov 2023 to make payment arrangements on an existing loan, reducing my installments. They made this change for me and that debited the full installment the following month, I went into a branch and called the call centre only for them to say that they'd refund the money but would have to setup the payment arrangement again impacting my credit profile for a 2nd time. Disgusting customer services.
