IVE BEEN BANKING WITH CAPITEC FOR 10 YRS I PLAYED A PRYMAID SCHEME INVESTMENT. SO MY ACCOUNT WAS HOLD CZ IHAD R107 000 THEY SAID ITS WAS SUSPECTED TO FRAUD. CAPITEC TOLD ME THE CASE WAS BY THE NCC. WHEN CAPITEC CALLED ME ON CONFERENCE CALL NCC DENIED HAVING A FILE THEY KNOW NOTHING ,THEN CONSULTANT SEND EMAIL TO THE CAPITEC EMBUSY TO OPEN MY ACCOUNT THEY NEVER OPEN IT , IWAS ASKED TO SEND AFFIDAFITS ,SCREENSHOT, WIDRAWALS AND PROOF OF INVESTMENT WHICH IDID. I ESCALATED TO OMBUDSMAN STILL NOT HAPPY WITH CAPITEC 5 MONTHS UP AND DOWN. AND I NO LONGER TRUST THEM ALL IWANT IS MY MONEY THEN CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNT BCS WHAT INOTICED. EACH AND EVERY TIME IWRITE HERE. THEY CALL BUT NO ASSISTANCE. IWANT JUSTICE TO PREVAIL CZ IVE SUFFERED ON THIS PROCESS,IVE NEVER SEEN A BANK LIKE THIS EVEN IN MY NEXT LIFE WILL NEVER BANK WITH CAPITEC. ITRUSTED THEM WITH MY MONEY SO NOW THEY WANT TO SCAM ME. DO NOT BANK WITH CAPITEC!!
Last year I ordered from shein, the money went of my account and today I get another SMS saying there was a purchase of R808. I haven’t done any online shopping this year I called Capitec and they tell me it’s my payments from last year now how is that possible when the money already went out last year and and wasn’t even refunded or anything??
If you banking with Capitec I suggest changing, which I’m also going to do. It’s unsafe and too many scams. This girl comes telling me it’s multiple purchases that added up to 808 like really. My orders are more than that idk what bullshit Capitec is on

The worst bank

The worst bank. Employees of the bank giving me attitude for why I wish to move my money and close my account like it's any of their business. Bad bank for international transfers. Ridiculous rates. I am happy I moved my funds elsewhere.

Capitec is the worst bank that I have…

Capitec is the worst bank that I have ever dealt with, the staff in the branch as well as the customer service's don't no what is going on for what. The fraud department takes they own time to deal with funds, first they tell you its fraud money thereafter release the large amount however, keep the small amount on hold. I have been multiple times in the bank, and there was no feedback provided. The assistant in the bank away say that there will be feedback provided however, there is nothing that is getting resolved.

If I could give Capitec zero stars I would. Rude arrogant staff. No help whatsoever if you trying to sort out matters from abroad. Its just an automated load of rubbish on their whatsapp. Waiting over 7 hours for an agent to respond. Only to get the same useless automated advice.
Will most definetly close my account.
You people know nothing about customer service!!

I used the Shell partnership for the…


I used the Shell partnership for the live better reward, however on the 10th of October I did not get my reward. I went on WhatsApp to inquire with proof of the transactions both from my transaction list with capitec as well as shell v+ and I was told an incidents logged and I will here within 24-48 hours.

I followed up 12 days later as I had heard nothing from them and I was told it takes 7-14 BUSINESS DAYS. It's now the 6th of November and I'm told they cannot confirm when it will be attended to. I then preceeded to request a manager and a Charlize "Supervisor on duty" had absolutely no time for me, said what IT wanted to say and closed the chat. Beaides the lack of competence, the rudeness and unprofessionalism from Charlize takes the cake.

Keep your ****** live better nonsense and your rude staff.

What a joke

What a joke, been struggling for days to get a new card fir my business (prev mercantile) keep sending secure messages and no positive outcome. WHERE IS THE CEO TO DEAL WITH THIS? I WANT HIM TO EXPLAIN WHY!! Going to put this on all other social media platforms hoping he will respond.... otherwise I will take my businesses somewhere else and take out all the card machines of capitec in my store.

Professional assist from consultant

I had a problem with my capitec app and went to the branche in Woodlands to resolve the problem. Albert was the consultant and he helps us in a very professional and friendly way. He spends a lot of time to explain everything about the app. He is a very great asset for the capitec bank as a consultant.

Capitec Banking App play lotto or Powerball i dont know why Capitec has this option on their banking app because it never works and they do nothing to correct the error as did the send cash option not work a week or so back . Really disgusting service delivery if it does not work then just to bad as most business in South Africa are run lately

The updating of the app, capitec should notify users when there is new changes not that when we go to their online banking we find changes also they should be an option because this new system is a struggle for other as their smart phone’s camera are not working

CAPITEC BUSINESS ACCOUNT!!…

I have never experienced such incompetency DO NOT EVER OPEN A CAPITEC BUSINESS ACCOUNT!!! I am waiting for a international payment to clear for over 7 days. I keep getting called by different people requesting the same forms over and over I am closing it!!!

Business Bank relationship suite and Forex Department

I recently opened a business bank account with Capitec and have been extremely disappointed with the customer service. Here’s a summary of the issues I’ve faced:

Confusing Documentation Process: A payment from a UK company was made to my account on August 28th. Two days later, I received a DocuSign email from Ludwe Gilman requesting that I complete documents for something called a "BP," an acronym I had never heard of. Instead of receiving a call to explain the next steps, I was left confused and had to make multiple calls for clarification, only to be shuffled between different representatives Namely: Martha Kgomo and Yvonne Mavundhla.

Inadequate In-Person Assistance: I visited the bank in person seeking help and was directed to call or email customer service. Despite spending over R100 on airtime and making two trips to the bank, I received no resolution. Each attempt to get clarity led to more frustration.

Unresolved Account Issue: After eventually receiving a BP number yesterday, I was informed that there are no funds in my account, which contradicts the information I have.

Overall, the lack of clear communication and the ongoing delays have significantly impacted my business operations. I hope Capitec will address these issues promptly and improve their customer service in the future.

I had a great experience a few months…

I had a great experience a few months back.I needed to do some transactions inside the bank,this not possible because im currently working overseas.
I sent an email to customer service and a lady by the name of Lisa Africa ( BSC : Service Admin ) responded.This lady is exceptionally professional and shows a great deal of expertise and experience in her job, she accomodated me well since we are in different times zones.
I needed help with my minor childs account but there was mistake,they worked on my account instead.Lisa apologised for the mistake and quickly corrected everything and even went onto sending me a new Debit card to me in England! Wow i didnt know Capitec could go to such world class lengths to satisfy their clients.I was very happy with this service.
Thank you Capitec and thank you to Lisa Africa who made my whole experience,which i had thought would be difficult,a smooth and pleasant one.

Dealing with chat and contact centres makes you think of leaving
Agents are either overworked with too many conversations, incompetent or just lazy
These are the possibilities from the level of service received, not all interactions were bad but 90% of them were
