Birdseye chunky fish fillets

Bought Birdseye chunky fish fillets, wrongly assumed they were cod. I had dreadful pains in my stomach and I was sick after eating them. Even whilst I was eating them, the taste was vile and I covered in tomato sauce as I cannot afford to waste food. When I read the packet it said they were Basa, an imported fish from South East Asia. I am giving a negative review, I would not give it any stars but trustpilot give you no option to give zero.

Be aware

Be aware! BirdsEye chunky fish fingers DO NOT CONTAIN COD! They use Basa, cheap fish from Asia. They are Basa - in other words, fresh water Catfish, usually from the filthy rivers of the Mekong delta. Banned in several countries. Eat at your peril.

Changed the recipe for the fish, now it's completely inedible. Absolutely foul!!! …

Changed the recipe for the fish fingers. They are so disgusting, sloppy, soggy and nasty now, it seems like madness to do this, the old recipe was great. No one will buy them after tasting the new recipe, I know I won't. I don't like fish fingers, but I did like the birdseye ones, my son loved them. Now instead we threw the rest of the unused box in the bin.

Birdseye fish fingers used to be a…

Birdseye fish fingers used to be a treat for me but in the last few years the quality has really dropped so low I am giving up buying all types of fish fingers now, if Birdseye cant produce a decent fish finger no one can.
The fish finger looks OK but when its opened is nearly always gray or even darker, cod is supposed to be a white fish. I know fish as I had three fish and chips in the 1970s/1980s
There seems nowhere you can buy decent fish any more and we have all the seas around this island of ours, all the good fish is sold abroad instead of to us, in the uk so it seems that we have to have whats left over over. I could go on but this will do for now

Beef quarter pounders with plant protein - less beef, higher price, sloppy texture, no taste - Would get more pleasure from eating the box. They won't be featuring on My shopping list again. In the name of all that's holy - Why Birds Eye Why?

Another person ripped off by the promise of a Playmobil figure. Did send a chasing email, but Birdseye did not respond. So they are flogging low grade poor food on the promise of a well renowned toy that is not sent out. What a con it is criminal. There was no "while stocks last" statement.
Save you money and buy a Playmobil figure direct it's cheaper than the fishfingers.

Captain birds Eye figure

I went for the offer on the Captain birds Eye figure buying four boxes i was claiming for two figures and what a mistake that is After i sent of the offer i waited two weeks only to be told my application was rejected because they could not read the date on the receipt even though this is not mentioned at the time so i had to claim again i was then told my mini figures were on their way and 14 days later only one arrived so i sent and an email to Birds Eye who replied with you have to contact Consumer Engagement Centre who are running the offer when i had done this a week later i get the reply you must contact
birdsEye at promotioncustomerservices.com so i did to find from the postmaster my email was return say make sure the address is correct or try birdseyeminicaptain at promotioncustomerservices.com so this has been done and now i have not had any kind of reply so Birds Eye is just a promotional con as they do not honour the deal.

DISGUSTING FOOD!

Disgusting that a company gets so up itself that it no longer believes it has to give you any decent food AT ALL,,try the fish fingers and the fish cakes, they just turn into a MUSHY MESS,with a taste that is SO FAR from FISH,it's not even funny, supermarket home brands are much Tastier and actually taste of FISH,at a Quarter of the price,,,DO NOT KEEP GETTING CONNED BY THIS COMPANY,They have CLEARLY forgotten a word they used to use,,,"QUALITY" it really isn't there no more! AVOID!

Meat no more

I'm not even sure if there products actually contain any meat any more seems like they are trying to come up with ways to trick people into thinking its meat when it's not,,,

Disgusting food lost quality over the years and the company should be ashamed of the stuff they create that they actually refer to has meat,

How rude

How rude! Your promotion to receive a free Playmobil captain Birdseye appears to be fake ... After purchasing 2 boxes from Asda for £4 each, and sending the code from the website and the receipt with the boxes, I was told the code didn't match and the receipt didn't include the Birdseye on it. You do realise it doesn't include Birdseye because that's how Asda printed the receipt otherwise the name would be too long, and the code from the website changed every time you log in, for example logging in to put the code on the receipt but when you add the picture the code if different. As for the product code, go check with Asda as it's specified in store and online that the product is Birdseye. I won't be buying again 😤
