Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers are dissatisfied with the quality of the products, noting a significant decline in taste, texture, and overall freshness. They frequently mention issues like stale crisps, unpleasant flavors, and the presence of burnt or poor-quality potato bits. Consumers also feel that the price is too high for the reduced quality and smaller portion sizes, leading to a general sense of poor value for money. Some people were dissatisfied with the product changes, such as the altered salt packet in "Salt & Shake" crisps, making it difficult to locate and use. However, some customers also noted satisfaction with specific new products, like the "Wotsits Crunchy Sweet&Spicy Flammin Hot" and "Smokey Bacon Peanuts," finding them to have excellent flavor and crunch.

Bad, bad, bad!

Walker Frazzle crisps - when researched they are high in high risk additives - carcinogenic and some banned additives elsewhere in Europe. Why are companies allowed to put these on the shelf when they are so harmful to the human body! It blows my mind that this sort of food is allowed on our shelves!! Absolutely disgusting! With the rise of cancer why is this not being stopped!

Used to be delicious and high value for good prices and now if i buy a packet, i am paying £1.35 for a bag of air with a few crisps in it, not worth the price, its expensive and lacking the content to match the price.
I used to swear by walkers but now i highly reccomend ONE STOP crisps or nik naks as the bags are fairly full and your not just paying for air

We were always fans of Walkers Squares…

We were always fans of Walkers Squares but every bag in the last 6 pack we bought was filled with hard squares that were barely edible. All in date too. We put it down to a bad batch and didn't buy any for a month. Just got another 6 pack today, again all well in date, and they're the same rock hard consistency. You could honestly break a tooth on them. We won't be buying them again. Another product that's either escaped quality control or just gone so downhill that they're not worth even considering purchasing again.

Additives now in Walkers Ready Salted

Have been eating these crisps since I was a child (now 64 years).

They have always been my favourite but now have additives. WHY? They were great before so why do you need all the gunk!

I am no longer eating them as there are plenty of others with just potatoes, oil and salt!

Although I would prefer for you to revert to the previous recipe!

What a bunch of liers

What a bunch of liers. They dont check their crips. If they did i would not keep getting cheese and onion in my prawn cocktail bag. When I called to complain they asked me for the batch number. Foolishness

No salt and too sweet 🤮

Baked oven sea salt. My customer gave me a 6 pack as she said they weren't the same as they used to be. Ive just tried them. They taste VERY SWEET and hardly any salt in them. I managed to finish a pack but they are nothing like how they used to be. My daughter didn't even finish a pack as they again were far too sweet and not salty enough.

Cheese and Onion MultiPacks

Cheese and Onion MultiPacks. Why are they always crammed in so tightly that one of the packets ending up sealed to the opening and end up going soft. Happened on numerous times now and always this flavour.

Walkers salt and shake sachets

Walkers salt and shake sachets. The new white one nearly made me choke. I couldn't find it in the bag and it got stuck in my throat. I had to put my fingers down my throat to pull it out. Was fairly distressed.

Substandard!

Have been enjoying Cheese + Onion Crisps for a long time. However, following the recent rebranding, the quality has declined. I always buy the Multipack of 12 and so far at least 7 of the packs have contained a number of crisps with unsightly black marks which have an unpleasant taste. I'm expecting the other 5 packs to be of a similar substandard quality. Perhaps before spending money on rebranding, money could have been spent on quality control. Disappointing!

I bought a multi-pack of Walkers Salt n Shake crisps and was very disappointed.
Not only have they changed the salt sachet colour which you cannot locate or see easily. When found, the salt doesn't fall out of the sachet, so basically a waste of time. I won't be purchasing these again.

Won a small cash gift voucher on a Walkers Crisp packet today. Much kerfuffle to recover the code, then set up an app.
The code only gave me a short time to redeem the cash amount which has now expired.
Tried to redeem it online at Tesco, but the site tells me the code is invalid.
The instructions with the code do not seem to relate to anything in reality.
Have decided not to phone or write a complaint to Walkers as it would cost me more than the cash voucher is worth.
Why this tortuous and ridiculous system Walkers Crisps. Life is top short for this ridiculousness.

I would give it zero out of five if it was an option, recently bought some smoky bacon havent had them in a long time and I was disgusted they taste like chemicals its the same with cheese and onion don't know what they've done but its not good if I was to guess they've changed the flavours and rebranded it as brand new flavour etc etc but its really just to save money they no longer care about the consumer even a tiny bit I wish I could recommend an alternative but it seems they are all just trash thesedays and massively over priced there are still good crisps out there but you need to a
Pay a premium price recently tried Yorkshire crisps and they were good but again you are paying a premium and who wants to spend that on crisps its okay for a once in a blue moon purchase though

Wotsits Crunchy

As a former South African and brought up with Nik Naks from Simba I am pleased to see there is a close resemblance with the new Walkers wotsits Crunchy.
These are definitely a must as Simba are not as easily available in the UK, however the price currently resembles the South African product imported. A tad high.
Still and enjoyable product.
