Wanda is an awesome tour guide! She is very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor and is very attentive to the comfort and safety of your guests! I would love to go on another BIG BUS tour if I ever have the opportunity again. Wanda is a GEM for Chicago and shines with all of the fun, history and diversity the city has to offer.
Good but improbable.
Only English spoken.
No so clear stops, no signs on the street.
No discount available on board for others attractions.
Too short trip compared with the price you pay.
Loved the tour. Steven was a great tour guide and Darius was a wonderful driver! The only complaint is NO heat on the bus and it was FREEZING and damp outside.
You get a good feel of Chicago if you go in good weather which is chancy since it is Chicago. The bus is not heated and it was a very cold day.
The app is difficult to navigate. When you try to buy a ticket it tries to upgrade you to more expensive options. Also the map isn’t in real time like it says it is so you never know when the bus is coming. If we had to get off and on, we’d be spending a lot of time waiting.
They advertise wifi and there wasn’t.
Wonderfully entertaining and informative tour of Chicago that brings the city’s great history and architectural splendor to life.
Always a great way to see a new city and the tour guides always offer a great insight to the city along with great information.
It is important that you listen in different languages or use the headphones as in other countries example Singapore that has different languages on their buses
Excellent way to see and enjoy Chicago!! Miss B & all the staff are great!!
I took my husband , 2 y/o daughter & a cousin that came to visit Chicago for a day from another country, the commentary was good, the drivers also good but the baby was having a tantrum so we decided to ride on the bottom so she wouldn't bother the rest of the tourist at the top BUT NO AIR CONDITIONING ON A OVER 80 degree weather. It was so hot and humid and that made my baby even more crabby. Sorry but I don't think I'll do it again.
Got a two day pass and was told the busses made their last stops at 6 PM. Sat at Navy Pier for 20 minutes before being told the last bus had already gone through. That was at 4:30. The next day we rode it to Adler Planetarium, We went to get back on after our visit and waited 40 minutes for a bus while four Chicago Tours busses drove by, each about half full, in the same time frame. When I called at the 30 minute mark to see where the bus was the voice on the other end tried to tell me I must have missed one just 20 minutes ago. Wrong! When one finally came by it was extremely overcrowded with about a third of the passengers standing in the aisles. Horrible experience. Never again!
We purchased tickets at about 5pm at the Navy Pier Kiosk. We were told there would be enough time for us to go through all the stops and return back to the pier as long as we didn't get off. We were fine with that. We paid 110.00 for four tickets and after 4 stops and 30 minutes later (5:30pm) we were told that the tours were ending. We weren't able to make it back to the pier and we could be dropped off 10 blocks from the Metro. I called the next day about requesting a refund because the salesperson lied. I filled it out and it's been five days and I still haven't heard back. I will be contacting them again. I'm very unhappy about our first experience in Chicago and really unhappy having to walk 10 blocks with six year olds.
Hit or miss when it comes to which driver/tour guide you’ll come across when hopping on the bus. The first driver we had was rude, telling me I can only get on the bus after everyone has gotten off - this was after I had patiently waited for everyone to deboard. The tour guide was sarcastic and barely knew any info regarding the landmarks he was suppose to cover. The second driver was nice and tour guide gave a nice and informative tour. The bus is slower than walking since it makes so many stops at traffic lights and such. If it is summertime, sitting at the top deck is pretty hot.
I wouldn’t do any bus tour again. I would stick to walking and picking out landmarks on my own. A boat tour in Chicago is much more worth it.

The biggbus hop on hop off tour was really good and all the tour guides were very entertaining and knowledgeable. The only reason of giving 4 stars and not 5 is that during the night tour one of the tour guide was discriminating tourists coming from Asia by not interacting with them skipping their row when was asking questions etc.
That was the only behavior we thought was rude but the over all biggbus tour was really awesome.

The bus tour was great. The only bad thing was the weather at the time we took the tour.

Brilliant way to get your bearings in Chicago! The roadside staff were very helpful, the buses were pretty regular and the guides onboard were an absolute hoot - knowledgeable (as you'd expect) but with a very entertaining line in patter (particularly Lance, who consistently had everyone laugh out loud). I've done many of these trips over the years to find my way around - Madrid, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Bergen, etc..... - but this was probably the best. And thanks for your advice on picking up the Loop train, Lance - spot on! (The Brit with the beard)

I enjoyed my trip with Big Bus Tours Chicago, I could know the most important places the city has to offer, and if you are visiting Chicago, due to the route of the bus, you can use it as the way of transportation to go from one place to another. I definitely loved Big Bus Chicago.

Always a great choice to get to the best places, sightseeing around the city... Same with Chicago. Though coming from O'Hara area you may need to change trains to get to closer spot (in my opinion or was the hard Rock (14th) stop) it's worthy.
I wanted to thank the Big Bus team for helping me (being willing to help) when I had one situation on my own tickets with one of the add on attractions. Great job. Made a huge difference.
