Disappointing

I reserved a seat on the Big Bus for a night time tour of Chicago. Arriving at the departure site, a gentleman wearing a Big Bus Tours shirt asked me and my colleagues to join him at the Big Bus Tours cart. He informed us that due to a large private party, our tour was canceled. Perplexed of why we were allowed to even make a reservation, he didn't have an answer, instead he gave the 5 of us tickets to ride the Ferris wheel at the Navy pier. Disappointing.

Fantastic tour-read your receipt for freebies

Great tour only downfall was the downstairs area did not have air conditioning. Not sure if this was was the case with all the buses but the one time we had to sit downstairs because the upper deck was full we ended up sitting in what felt like a sauna. There were so many buses running on the Saturday we went that we never had to wait longer than 5 mins to hop on the next bus. Finally, the guides were great! The historical facts and current stories they told made us appreciate the city of Chicago. Btw, make sure to read the receipt as it includes a few free items you can redeem at some of the bus stops. Unfortunately we didn't notice these deals until we were back at our hotel. Overall, it was a great experience

They do not care about the customers at…

They do not care about the customers at all. They are trying to pack the bus fuller than there are seats saying "some people will get off at the next stop". There is no AC in the bus and it is hard to understand what the speaker is saying. His jokes are also sexist. It was so unbearable we had to get off. Several of us were wondering if we could open the windows, but they appear to be for emergencies only.

Another Fun Big Bus Tour-Chicago

I have enjoyed Big Bus Tours in large cities. I most recently went on the Chicago bus tour and enjoyed it very much! I was born and lived in Chicago suburbs 40 years ago and go back to visit family only and not sight see. This time my adult son really wanted to sight see so we did. It is a great way to learn and see the city! I had Wanda on two of the bus legs and she was great. Knowledgeable, very good communicator with sense of humor!

Good tour overall

Good tour overall. I could have been better informed about the freebies. You actually need to get off the bus and get the bag and popcorn. I started at stop 2 but had to transfer at post 13 and waited too long for one stop. I wished the pass would be good for more than 2 consecutive days. Staff is not knowledgeable at times about the coupons.

Day and Night Tour

Did day tour and night tour. Great way to see the city and get bearings. All tour guides were great. The App was very useful. Free popcorn from Garrett’s was delicious. Night tour was nice...even in the rain. Poor guide named Jack sat up top in the rain and cold but was a superstar and had an amazing voice!

I am a thrifty person

I am a thrifty person, and work on a budget. Let me tell you I got bang for my buck. This is a very thorough bus tour. I didn't get off and on, but I know I could have. I was enjoying the tour guide so much that I wanted to do the whole tour and do the stops afterward! I will happily take this same tout again!

Riding the bus

We found your service to be helpful and handy, we enjoyed using it.
One other thing that would be helpful would be a description of where the bus would load at the stop by posting a street name/crossing or more detailed map of where it is. When one is unfamiliar anything extra helps find our way. We did ask drivers or service people at the attractions when we didn't know. They were extremely polite and helpful.

So fun!

So fun! Very convenient and laid back-The kids and us got a great living history tour and a front seat view to the goings on of the city, including a car accident that happened right below us that was interesting to watch unfold. Wanda the tour guide was fun & very informative about the Chicago fire, Lance was funny, Bongi was fun and we loved her name, we also had a bearded dude but we cannot remember his name, he was fun as well. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be that the downstairs was very hot, we were on the tour on 80+ degree day and if the upstairs was completely full, which was rare, the downstairs was stifling. Should have windows that open or air conditioning on. The drivers are amazing. Do it!
