I had a very disappointing experience with Allianz Ireland while trying to transfer my 7 years of no-claims history from the Netherlands after relocating to Ireland.

I provided the documentation requested, but Allianz Ireland required additional verification from Allianz Direct Netherlands. Unfortunately, the two companies seemed unable to work together effectively. Allianz Netherlands later stated that answering Allianz Ireland’s questions was against their internal protocols.

Over a period of more than five weeks, I made several phone calls and followed up repeatedly, yet no practical solution could be found. During this time, I was unable to insure and drive my newly purchased car, which was especially difficult as I live in a remote rural area.

What is most frustrating is that I did everything that was asked of me, yet I was left paying the price for a process that failed between two Allianz entities. In the end, my no-claims history could not be recognised and I faced substantially higher insurance premiums. I expected much better support and problem solving from a company of this size.

I was horrified when I saw how my money was being used and how much profit they are making from human suffering so I moved my home insurance away from Allianz. Very happy to have found a more ethical insurer and saved over €300 a year in the process.

No follow up once claim from other party admitted liability who had same insurance company. Rushed through and pressured in an attempt to claim under my own insurance. Once liability was accepted no further follow up in relation to payment, no returned calls despite numerous requests, no response to emails. Hours wasted on hold, stressful enough being in accident, shouldn't have to be such an ordeal to sort given the price of premiums paid.

Dealing with Claims and renewals has been a nightmare. There is no connection between the two sides of the business and no one replies to email.

Entering the competition for tickets to Olivia Dean was super easy, quick and fun. I appreciate that the competitions don't cost extra to enter. And the prizes are always great.

I am with Allianz couple of years. Always everything is ok. I had a claim and all process went fast and smooth. Highly recommended.

Hi Ally, I have contacted that partner company who confirm that the processing of the travel nsurance is carried out overseas by another company but that the poicy itself is that of Allianz Ireland.
They also reconfirm that there is no Multitrip insurance available to those of us over the age of 65.

App is easy to use, covers most queries I have, section on adding temporary drivers is very good (got even better just lately).

Was able to talk to agent who was extremely helpful, patient, listened to me and guided me. He was so pleasant (and helped me understand the on line system too and answered all my questions) even though I rambled a bit:) thank you.

I just purchased insurance for my car and requested that it start the following day. I assumed this would be automatic and take place at midnight especially since you debited my account. Only after paying do you say it could take 24hrs before cover is in place. Now I have no access to a car until I hear from you.
