Very reasonable price and good service

We purchased a condenser dryer from Gillmans. The process was very smooth and the price was the best all around. The product was delivered when expected and with a very nice delivery man. I would certainly recommend Gillmans.

Company ignores appeals

Company ignores appeals
I had made an appeal through their portal system with all the documentation to prove my appeal. However, I never received any communication back from them. There is no way to track the appeal. 3 months later I received a debt collection notice.
This is completely unacceptable and unlawful. I am stuck at taking a gamble at refusing to pay the debt collection notice and take this to court with risk of rising fees, or pay the increased fine.
Not a pleasant position to be in.

No annual boiler service provided

No annual boiler service provided
I was contacted while I was away for an extended holiday about our annual boiler service via an email. However at no time did it state that this is for a limited time which expires at end of September. I contacted them on Oct 2 after I returned and they stated that I would not be given a boiler service this year and I have to wait until March - September 2026.

I contacted them only 2 days after it was considered expired. This is one of the main reason we have the service. If they are not flexible on supplying this service due to individual circumstances, I don't see the point of this insurance.

Also, they cannot hide behind "terms & conditions" when these are not highlighted at the time. I have had the insurance for several years, this must be something new. It should have been highlighted in the email.

Worked brilliantly

Worked brilliantly once I figured out how to activate it on my phone. The activation process is not straightforward and took about 30 minutes of googling (luckily I had wifi at the time that I was activating).

Much cheaper than using my mobile plan international day rate. I saved over $160

Easy and quick to pull together my tax return. If I have any queries they are usually very quick at getting back with me. Also, many forms are offered as standard (or at a reduced price) that aren't on their competitors' website.

Very easy and quick

I used MyExpatTaxes the prior years, so it was very quick to do the taxes this year. A lot cheaper than other services. They were fairly quick on getting back to me with any of my queries, considering I was filing close to the deadline. I will definitely continue to use them for convenience and ease of preparation.

Very efficient

The implementation of new infrared heating system went smoothly. The heaters are extremely efficient. Jigsaw were excellent at working determining the most appropriate design for our various room needs. They quickly sorted our wifi situation when they realised that we didn't have any broadband in the building. I can't believe how easy the system is to operate. We are still getting to know it, but our rooms are much warmer now, and hopefully we will see a reduction in our energy usage!

Great job!

They offered the tire I wanted at the best price. Plus I liked how they did a general examinations of all and provided a report. It was extremely efficient and done in the expected time. I appreciate the fact, that even though it was "freedom day", they still asked people to social distance and wear masks. All very important.

Good customer service and issue resolution

I had a dyson vacuum cleaner for 3 years. The hose had ripped on the vacuum cleaner, making the extension portion of the vacuum cleaner useless. I thought I would have to buy a new part. I contacted Dyson who informed me that the part was under their 5 year guarantee and they immediately dispensed a new hose. The process was very quick and easy

Excellent Customer Service and issue resolution

I had my bin for nearly 4 years and the lid was sticking. The bin has a 10 year warranty. When I contacted the company about the issue with the lid, the company immediately dispensed a new bin. It is an expensive bin, but with this level of customer service and security that you know that all issues will be addressed, the price difference is worth it.

Good service at pick up

The product was readily available and easy to pick up. My only complaint was that the part I had purchased had been repackaged and no longer had the instructions for it. I had to hunt online for another set of instructions provided by a different maker of a similar product. I also struggled with separating the parts to assemble it correctly, which didn't help due to lack of instructions.

Shoddy products ... Don't buy.

I purchases some very expensive solid oak barstools from John Lewis (JL) a few years back. They were perfect for my new kitchen and looked stunning. Unfortunately a year outside the warranty period, one of the barstools started to come apart at the chair's back rest. I contacted customer service but they said they couldn't help as this product was outside the one year warranty and they no longer made those barstools. As these were were a JL design, this barstool could not be located on the internet.

I was very upset, as I thought if I paid substantial amount of money for a product from JL I would be assured of a quality built chair. However this was not the case. I have taken it to a furniture maker who confirmed that there was very little integrity in the build construction of the chair. He has tried to repair the damage that was caused by the shoddy construction.

I would advise not to purchase a JL product from JL, as the quality is not there, and they don't have the ability to support any failures in their products

Excellent service in resolving issue with Table

This is an update on a previous review written in November 2017 about the Conker Table staining. I had previously informed Loaf about the issue with my table and not gotten a satisfactory resolution. However, after a raising the issue again, and further sending of photos and discussions about the issue they agreed to replace my table.

I was at first concern that the new table would also stain as easily as the last one, but I agreed to have the table replaced. I am so glad I did, as the replacement Conker table is definitely an improvement on my old Conker table. Instantly I could tell that there was a better coating on the new table compared to the first table. After a week of use, there are no issues of staining and it is so much easier to clean.

Though it took some time to get a happy resolution, I am pleased that it finally was resolved, as the table now proudly sits in our kitchen and I no longer have to worry about hiding the stains.

Thank you Alice at Loaf for pursuing my complaint.

Poor finishing on Conker table

Poor finishing on Conker table
We purchased a conker table from Loaf. The table at first looked great. They advised this against the zinc table top (which I had wanted) that they used to sale, as they said the conker table won't stain. However, we have experienced incredible staining with this concrete table. I clean any spills immediately, but if the food has a hint of grease, a stain occurs.

We complained to Loaf who sent out a service man to look at our table. He said that it was not repairable, and that we've deliberately stained it by having food splattered on it. I pointed out that it was a kitchen table, which we use with place-mats, but food will occasionally drop on the table. He said that the table was not designed to support that.

The grease stains are unsightly and do not remove. I think it is a poor design of the concrete table top that it is not cleanable. I would advise not to purchase this table. I was dissatisfied with the response I got from Loaf and will not purchase anything else from them in the future.

Efficient and effective

Very easy to post the ad, auto trader provides a lot of guidance. I paid for the premium in order to have the mobile online option active and I sold the car under a week. A perfect experience.
