Great and very personable. They were kind and patient, answered all of our questions, and explained everything about the DMS scheme clearly.

Based on my experience as a leaseholder at Old School House, Dunstable, I have found the situation extremely disappointing.
Since completion, residents have experienced ongoing concerns regarding the condition of the building, with various inspections resulting in remedial works being identified.
Leaseholders are now facing considerable uncertainty regarding the potential cost of these works, which residents understand could amount to approximately £300,000–£400,000.
This situation has caused significant stress and anxiety for homeowners who purchased their properties in good faith and expected a high standard of workmanship and support.
In my opinion, prospective buyers should carry out extensive due diligence before purchasing, particularly in relation to listed buildings and any history of remedial works or ongoing disputes.
Based on my own experience, I would not recommend purchasing a property developed by Weston Homes.
I purchased a leasehold flat in a Grade II listed building developed by Weston Homes. While the apartment looked impressive when I bought it, my experience as a homeowner has been extremely disappointing.
After completion, concerns arose regarding the condition of the building and works that had been carried out. Following an inspection, the Council identified a number of issues requiring remedial action, including the installation of uPVC rainwater goods, cement mortar repairs to external walls, poor repair of historic windows, vegetation growth to chimney stacks and decayed timber fascias.
The council’s correspondence stated and requested that remedial works be undertaken to bring elements of the building into compliance with the requirements associated with the listed building consent.
As a leaseholder, it is very concerning to discover that a historic Grade II listed building has been left with issues of this nature. Purchasing a home should provide peace of mind, not ongoing worry about compliance matters, building defects and the potential cost and disruption of remedial works.
To make matters worse, the freehold has since been transferred to an investment company, leaving leaseholders caught between different parties while trying to resolve ongoing building concerns. The entire situation has caused considerable stress and worry.
What makes the situation particularly frustrating is that the apartments themselves present well internally, but the external and structural issues have created significant stress for residents. Many buyers focus on the finish inside their flat, but the long-term condition of the building is equally important.
My experience has left me questioning the quality of the development and the attention given to complying with the requirements applicable to a listed building. Prospective purchasers should carry out thorough due diligence, request copies of planning permissions and listed building consents, and carefully investigate the wider condition of the building before committing to a purchase.
Based on my experience, I would not buy another property developed by Weston Homes.
It is my first time buying a property and Weston homes have made the journey so seamless with their attentiveness, efficiency and helping me complete everything in such a quick time frame. Couldnt be happier!!

Purchasing my new home at Tayfen Court has been an incredibly positive experience from start to finish, and so much of that is down to Valerie and Judy in the sales team.
From my very first enquiry, both Valerie and Judy were responsive, communicative, and genuinely a pleasure to deal with. They kept me informed at every stage of the process, answered every question thoroughly, and never made me feel like I was chasing for updates. For what can often feel like an overwhelming journey, their calm and professional manner made everything feel remarkably smooth and straightforward.
What really set them apart was how patient and reassuring they were throughout. Buying a property involves so many moving parts, and knowing I had two such helpful and dedicated people in my corner made all the difference.
Most importantly, they went above and beyond at every turn. This was not just good customer service, it was genuinely exceptional care for the people they work with. I felt like a valued individual, not just a transaction.
If you are considering Tayfen Court, do not hesitate. The homes speak for themselves, loved the layout and sizes of the rooms, the finishes are beautiful too, and the team looking after you will make the whole experience a joy.
Five stars, without question. Thank you Valerie and Judy.

Valerie and Judy looked after me through the whole process, which was a long one due to a failed chain on the sale of my property. Despite the nearly 3 month delay to being able to complete on my beautiful new apartment Judy was there supporting me through a very stressful time. I was worried I’d lose the apartment due to the delay but Judy really went the extra mile and then some and was integral in making sure the apartment remained mine, liaising with the other estate agents and solicitors, pushing the process forward to completion. Thank you Judy

They do everything to keep the experience personal and try and ensure that only one person deals with you. Able to offer reasonable choices about services needed in getting the flat purchase done. We dealt with Judy except on the day that we got the keys but we knew this was going to happen. On the final day we had Valerie take us around the flat to check the meters and pick up the mail prior to getting ready to furnish it. Both of them were always attentive and helpful. They were able to understand that our son was buying the flat but not local and were able to keep both parties aware of things.
