Dartmouth-Below average service

Dartmouth-Below average service, expensive.
Flat white £3.40 and cookie £1.75 is expensive. The plastic coffee cup was 3/4 full. The service was disinterested and slightly aggressive. No one else in the shop, so under no pressure.
God display of pasties, poor display of plastic looking cakes. Overall disappointing and not up to the standards of competitors around them.

Awful

Awful! I’ve eaten many pasties in my time but these have to be the absolute worst. I went for the medium steak from one of the Falmouth shops. Small would better describe the size, and I’m curious to know why it’s sold as a steak pasty though. If I had two bits of meat in it then I’d have been lucky. The rest of the filling I can only describe as peppery ‘mush’. Flavourless (other than lots of pepper) filling and basic pastry. My local shop in Gweek sells bigger, better and tastier pasties for less than I paid for this waste of ingredients. I reckon the seagulls would avoid these too.

Tasty Pasty

I had been given a £1 off voucher but I rarely eat pasties but as I was passing their shop in Barnstaple, I popped in. To my surprise I spotted a Coconut Dahl Pasty
so ordered that and duly got my £1 reduction from a very polite and smiling female staff. The pastie was still warm when I eventually tried it and it was so tasty. First the coconut followed by suptle spices. The pastry itself was cooked to perfection.I will definitely be having another, even without a voucher :)

I am always impressed with Warrens

I am always impressed with Warrens - the bakery items always seem fresh & good quality (piping hot, too) & the items are reasonably priced when using the app.

Today, Ollie from the Tavistock branch went above & beyond for us. He quickly opened the double-door for us on our arrival & was really friendly and welcoming. Ollie - a real asset to you all. A true gentleman representing Warrens to a very high degree.

Thanks again, I am looking forward to my next pasty already!

This is the third time I’ve been let…

This is the third time I’ve been let down by them. I asked for a mocha made with oat milk and they explained they use chocolate powder containing milk. WHY???!! Then they told me I couldn’t have one made with oat milk even though I said the chocolate powder didn’t matter. My entire family are vegan and this company only sells extremely overpriced pasties full of veg as an option. We tried them twice but both times they tasted absolutely vile.

160 year old pasty

Warrens advertise that they have been baking pasty's for 160 years so I guess that the hot one I bought in Tavistock must have been one of their originals and left in the hot cabinet. The crimped curst was impregnable and had to be discarded and the rest dark, dry and mushy. I just hope that the Devon Council bio digester will have more luck than me.

Yelverton new store

Yelverton new store
male staff member awful attitude towards members of the public, very sarcastic and rude.
Warm food counter was very cold.
Limited selection.
Ordered a toastie the bread was rock solid, the ham and cheese inside was very cold and the cheesenot melted seemed like they just chucked it together slapped it in the toastie machine for 2 seconds and was done!
Would never return here again!

Slough Train Station

Very disappointed when I first tried on 3 days after opening. Gave them another try. The prices although only 10 pence are still incorrect. Sounds petty but it's illegal under UK advertising law. The vegetable pasty was stale at midday 3pm. Not hot and overpriced for what it was. Below supermarket quality at resturant prices. Fool me once....

Honiton branch

Went into the Honiton branch and the staff were friendly and helpful. Sue served us and talked us through how to use the warrens app and take advantage of the offers on there.

New shop in Slough Train station

New shop in Slough Train station. Charging different prices to the prices advertised on display. Tastes like a 2 day old pasty and sky high prices. Zero stars for this new store

Awful staff…

The food is tasty, albeit a little over priced especially compared to the CoOp opposite and they have a very limited selection. But the main issue of complaint was how awful the staff were, they were unhelpful a very rude!
I would like to say this was an isolated issue but this was the level of service on both recent visits- I think I’ll shop elsewhere in future.

Disgusting

Just had the most disgusting steak slice I have ever had from Warrens Newton Abbot. Dry horrible pastry, no meat whatsoever just one small piece of grissel and a lot of brown slop which I suppose was allegedly gravy, not a one off as my wife’s was exactly the same. A similar experience with a so called Cornish Pasty last week at Warrens Trago Mills, thats us finished with Warrens, never again.

I used to be one of Warrens Bakers …

I used to be one of Warrens Bakers managers some years ago. High standards then. So today, for the first time in years I visited the Taunton shop for 2 Belgium buns and 2 sausage rolls. Oh goodness me! They were awful. The sausage rolls were just greasy pastry, there was very little meat ( if it was meat) . The Belgium buns were like rocks. I don't think they were fresh to be honest. If I was a manager today I would be ashamed to serve a customer such rubbish. And that little lot cost me over £8. It all ended up in the bin. What has happened to Warrens Bakers?. One thing is sure I will never go into any of their shops again.

Pasties at Trago Warrens Bakery Newton Abbot

Bought 2 large steak pasties at Trago Mills Warrens Bakery Newton Abbot. The pastry was thick over half a cm with a huge crimped area. Not cooked properly, the inside was slimy and veg tasted of nothing. Probably cut up and left in water. I had 4 pieces of gristly inedible steak and I would have taken them back yet we had driven away. Disgusting!

bacon and a sausage baps

Had a bacon and a sausage bap, both with brown sauce.

Oh dear.

Very dry and clagging bread with very thick skinned luke warm Sausages. As a bakery you would hope that they could at least provide decent bread. Very disappointing.

No wonder people were queuing for macdonalds next door. Shame
