The staff was very friendly n the service was excellent. Enjoyed the evening entertainment with Sean n Nicole. Great trip. Loved the small ship
Great service and food
Crew was absolutely amazing!!
The staff/crew of Victory Cruise were so patient and caring to our family. Our circumstances were unique compared to other cruisers in the past, however they still went above and beyond for our group to not only be accommodating, but make sure we had a wonderful cruise.
First River Cruise
The staff was wonderful except for one man Eduardo that was a waiter. He was awful. The rest of the staff were WONDERFUL! Room Suite small. Single bed so not much room. Food was always great but more variety would be nice. They had great alcohol selection. Entertainment was great. The guy that would talk about the excursions was very boring and didn't make sense. Iv been on a ton of big ships so this was first river cruise. Definitely missed the pool and casino on the other ships.
Better than ocean cruises
1. Best Music Program, highly talented musicians
2. Food are of high quality
3. Room service excellent
4. Well-designed cruise routes
Absolutely everything was great
Absolutely everything was great! The staff, cleanliness, food, excursions, and atmosphere were definitely spot-on.
If I had to make a suggestion, it would be better accommodations to those that had mobility issues. I know as a foreign-registered boat you don't have to, but it would be nice. I felt really bad for those folks that were struggling to go up and down the boat ramp and travel any distances.
The crew WANT to provide great service!!
The crew, from waiters, room staff, etc. Outstanding service and food. We've done Viking river cruises and this was everything we've experienced and more.
Great experience
Service & food were excellent. More group activities or games needed during the day.
Food was great
Food was great! Staff is great especially the dining room wait staff, bar staff and cabin steward.
Great Lakes cruise on Victory II
Everything on our Victory Cruise through the Great Lakes was great. The staff was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. I love that they always greeted me by name and never hesitated to make sure I was comfortable. The food was very good ay every meal and the bar staff made sure our drinks were refreshed as needed. Our cabin was kept clean and we appreciated the chocolates with turn-down service. The included excursions were a nice bonus, however I was disappointed that the Cuyahoga Valley tour did not include seeing the waterfall, which was clearly featured in every excursion brochure. And in the same day, the tour of Stan Hywet was almost entirely filled up with a tour of the house, with not enough time to explore the beautiful gardens. And at the Niagara Falls excursion, there was only time to take the boat ride and no time to see the visitor center or the view of the falls from their lookout spot. Perhaps going forward, you may consider removing one or two of the later excursions so that we have time to explore more before the deadline to get back on the ship. I was on the Victory II and would like to offer a special shout out to our dining room attendant Candido, our bartender Sachin, our room steward Ivon, and The Grill staff of Wayan, Uno and Rahul. Also kudos to the talented band and especially the singers. They were very good and offered a variety of music. I will not hesitate to recommend Victory Cruises. Thank you.
Excellent everything
Well organized. Pleasant staff. Excellent food with perfect portions and outstanding presentation. Stateroom cleanliness perfection. Music terrific. Excellent everything.

What made our experience so great was the staff on board. Every employee could not have been nicer or more helpful, with smiles on their faces and caring in their hearts. We’d especially like to thank Ari, our Stateroom Steward, and Isaiah, our dedicated server. I’d also like to thank Preston and the chefs for making sure I had delicious, creative vegan meals. Those at the Purser’s desk were also very helpful.

My only complaint is that the state rooms were small, especially the bathroom. Everything else was fabulous.
A Memorable Trip
Despite some weather issues (rain, heat, etc.), some miscues on shore excursions, and my catching a cold in the last part, it was a wonderful trip. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the room was fine, the ship was wonderful, the programs in the afternoon were informative, and the food and the SERVICE were great.
The Best Cruise Ever!
The positive enthusiasm of the entire crew among themselves as well as with the guests was exceptional and infectious, making this cruise significantly better than every other cruise we have taken. The meals were also exceptional, delicious, varied, fresh, and well presented on the plate throughout the cruise thanks to chef Doni, Preston the restaurant manager, and their entire team. The servers were attentive and entertaining, Maximillian as a prime example. The drink bartenders, led by Sachin with Jose were attentive. The Victory II band was highly entertaining, with a different theme for their music each evening. Wonderful instrumentals and vocals. The daily, included excursions were excellent, supported by Social Director Mickey and the Roads Scholars team, and managed like clockwork by Maddy and her team, although a Niagara Falls option without the Hornblower boat ride might be a good addition. The 250th Anniversary presentation including the reading of the Declaration of Independence by the guests and acknowledgement of military service was very patriotic. All in all, extremely well done.
Patriotism Resplendent On Victory America 250 Sailing!
A Great Lakes cruise is sure to be memorable in itself, but, sailing with Victory Cruise Line when America turned 250 was especially noteworthy.
When we arrived in our stateroom there were two small flags, patriotic pins and a copy of The Declaration of Independence.
The ship was decorated in red, white and blue bunting and festive patriotic decor.
The entertainment department presented the veterans with a challenge coin and the hotel manager thanked them, individually, for their military service,
Twenty three guests volunteered to read excerpts from the Declaration of Independence while the keyboard player accompanied them.
Victory cruise lines is a class act and goes the extra mile!
This Victory cruise to the Great Lakes… DON’T MISS IT!
This Victory cruise to the Great Lakes was everything I expected and MORE. What stands out most in my mind is the crew. Everyone was polite, attentive and professional. The excursions were fun and informative. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the excursions to Mackinac Island, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Niagara Falls and the culture and arts tour of Cleveland. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was absolutely fascinating to go through the locks. We enjoyed taking a cruise that was not on a crowded and oversized ship, and we would definitely consider another Victory Cruise.
