Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Saw my dog quickly on a bank holiday. Vet was lovely. Very efficient service for direct claim to my insurance so we weren't faced with big bill.

I feel that the price of £276 before you are seen is appalling .I understand that it is out of hours and wages have to be paid but people haven’t got that sort of money but will pay as the animals are a priority. The assessment was basic and my pet is not really better so having to go to my vet .Disappointed

Excellent communication throughout. They immediately posted the Google maps location directly to my phone which, as we were out of the area, made life so much less stressful . We were seen quickly by a lovely vet who was thorough & professional in her approach. We felt that we were able to contribute to the decision making for our dog's care. The whole experience was without fault

I made a phone call; arrived, was seen immediately and was on my way home having had a good outcome. The vet explained everything very clearly, my dog had medication to cover her overnight and I was able to continue with my normal vet first thing the next day.

I managed to overdose my poor dog on Metacam. I genuinely thought he was going to die, but the clinicians at Vets Now brought him round and he's better than ever. Also managed his upset owner very well.

Very professional and yet caring. I received a full explanation of tests needed, the results and consequences for my pet . My companion for 20 years was given a swift release from pain. I dreaded it, yet it had to be done
