Vets Now - Milton Keynes Reviews 

Had to use the emergency vets and Vets Now were open. Went down to get an enema to be given to my cat for constipation and the nurse came out to take him which I didn't understand so I asked if I could go in with him as this is what usually happens at a vet appointment. She was funny with me and said "Errr, yes?". I followed her into the surgery and apologised and told her I assumed I'd be there with him. She was still snarky with me so I left my boy to her as he had to be held down by another nurse, which I also didn't know. This nurse made me feel bad and I was already stressing. Not kind or professional.

The Vet that helped my best friend (Big George The Saint Bernard) tonight was out of this world i can not thank her enough. She explained everything & gave me choices before doing her best to save my best mate.

Terrible, they weren’t stressed about helping my seizing dog and happily charged me £400 for 2 doses of diazepam on a Saturday and sent me home to administer it myself. I travelled 25 min by taxi to get there and expect me to come back and pay £400 more for two more doses ! Could have just given me more meds when I had already gone there. Very slow and uninterested.

Quickly seen to and very professional

Seen fairly quickly in out of hours vets. They saw to his injury and treated accordingly.

From the phone call to ask to see a vet, to poorly cat being seen and given medication all staff very welcoming and professional they made it less stressful and was so good with our poorly cat

Came in as an emergency on Sunday morning, staff were great, very empathetic. Took control made me feel better during a difficult time, very poorly cat. Kept me updated.

The vets were efficient and dealt with me and my pet professionally. We didn’t have to wait too long to be seen and they kept me informed of treatment.

Quick action during emergency. Great care.

The vet we saw had no sympathy towards the patients she was seeing, the wait time was extremely long and during this time I witnessed an old dog be put to sleep, when the owners said to the vet that it was unfair to put their dog through further treatment and that they'd like to put them to sleep, the vets response to this request was 'ok great I'll get a room ready' which was awful and completely against what the people needed to hear - nothing great about what they had just said. When it was our turn, the vet touched my dogs abdomen, did a rectal exam with complete unnecessary force which caused my calm dog to scream in fear, the vets response was well she's got all uptight now, she's anxious isn't she?? I took my dog to vets now in Milton Keynes as she was bleeding prefusley from her bottom, and she was behaving unusual and I was very worried about her. The vet did nothing but the above, was really unsympathetic and said well she isn't bleeding now? Her overall attitude towards my dog was just wrong, my dog didn't like her tone and the unessisary force used, she actually came out worse off and terrified after this.

I was then charged £470 for the pleasure. The fact that I am fuming from this ordeal is an understatement.

Would be helpful to have vet nurse do triage.

Everyone was friendly it was a bank holiday weekend however I was well looked after. The service was quick although in my opinion very expensive. They then forwarded all my paperwork to the insurance company for me to claim. My dog was checked for all possible problems and I was provided medication for him. The vet was very friendly, good with my dog and everything was explained to me. They also briefed me on what to do for insurance. Overall a good service.

Premises clean, staff helpful, very busy last Good Friday morning. Approx 1 1/2 hours wait for 10 min appt. I accept that it was a Bank Holiday and only option available, however I suspected my dog had either broken a bone or done serious soft tissue damage to his foot, the vet agreed. To be sent away with painkillers and told to contact my usual vet on Tues was not particularly helpful. £480 (Inc medication & VAT) seemed rather excessive for 10 mins and no proper examination as sedation would have been required due to the amount of pain he was in. Make of this what you will.

I made a call this evening out of desperation I have had problems for a very long time seen lots of vets etc this evening I spoke to a lady in walnut tree vets now named Claire 16/04/2025 she has massively put my mind at rest and helped me more than anyone I’m so so greatfull I truly hope this reaches her!! Very much recommend.. thankyou Claire xxxx

We took our dog to Vets Now with breathing difficulties. They treated him straight away, kept him in overnight and rung us first thing in the morning. They even let us bring him back later that day to reassure us things we goi g in the right direction. Mattie (Milton Keynes at Walnut Tree) could not have been more reassuring at this difficult time. Our dog is now back to his old self (something we didn’t think we would honestly see again) and we cannot Mattie and the lovely vet who took care of him overnight for all their care and kindness

The care my dog (Tegwyn) received was outstanding. They should compassion and professionalism and kept me updated throughout her time with them.
