Return refund not given yet

Dresses are lovely and worth the money. Returned two which arrived 10th March as Royal Mail delivery receipt confirmed. Messaged over 7 days ago help email address and no response. Still no return money.
I do understand in the currency circumstances but we didn’t go into lockdown till 23rd March

Unfortunately, we were already dealing with the effects of the pandemic before the lockdown on 23rd March which resulted in some delays and a backlog. Hello, we are disappointed to see this review since we explained in our email to you, we temporarily shut down following the lockdown on 23rd March and had a notice on our website explaining we were shut due to COVID and that any orders placed would be dispatched once we reopened. We dispatched your order as soon as we could on the 5th May via DPD and this was confirmed as delivered the next day. I hope you will perhaps consider removing your review in light of this. I haven’t received my refund

I haven’t received my refund. I know time’s are difficult but I have returned approximately £500 worth of clothing about 3 weeks ago.

Hi Katharine, as we explained in our email to you, unfortunately, due to the pandemic we temporarily shut down following the lockdown on 23rd March and we were closed until May with nobody in the warehouse and therefore were unable to process any orders or returns. As soon as we partially reopened we made it a priority to work our way through the backlog and I can see that we have since refunded you. Awaiting Refund 2 weeks now....

I returned my dress the same day I received it as didn’t fit. I spoke to a lovely lady called Jessica who confirmed receipt of return on 17/3/20 and said refund would be in my bank account in 3-5 working days. It has now been almost 2 weeks and no sign of a refund. Please can you advise.

Excuse Of processing my return before virus

Returned product and got Royal Mail tracker confirming it was delivered 8/9th March. Spoke today someone at Vestry and they said we have it and will take 3/4 days to process. This was fine. However I spoke to someone today who said it’s not been returned and showing as outstanding. I said no I have proof so she then said due to Coronavirus we haven’t got the return. This was returned before the everything started shutting down. I then said due to this and lack of help I will review one star. To which she reply sorry you feel like this but we will reply saying due to what’s happening we will say why this has happened. No this isn’t fair. My return should have been processed long before Vestry closed and was still doing deliveries and return. You can’t possible use this as your excuse and ignore my 1 star when I have dates and emails as proof you had it and had time to process my money before all this happened. Terrible you staff aloud to tell me they will use this against my 1 star review instead of holding up your hands and accepting your mistake. So what now as you do have my delivery AND YOU DO have you now lost it and I will never get my refund? Do you need Royalmail proof and when you do see it was delivered back before this pandemic will you apologise for being completely in the wrong and not accepting the 1 star review? I have read so many comments on here when you never own up to stuff and always seem to blame the buyer. The dress I got was lovely I have no arguments about the products but the service and making out I’m not allowed to leave a one star review it just not fair and should be reported if you won’t take responsibility for your mistake.
Again no doubt you will come back to this with an excuse but this at no point should have been delayed this long since it was returned and accepted before you shut down

Hello Lauren,

As we explained to you the first reply from us to yourself we have any record of was on March the 17th where contrary to your account, we did not say we had your return, we advised we didn't yet have it. We checked your status today and it still shoes not returned.

We explained to you the impact of COVID and the health and safety we have had to employ in our returns department as they handle goods and could contract the virus so will not be able to follow this up until we reopen.

You threatened to leave us this review if we did not cooperate, and then claimed to have evidence of a conversation we have no evidence of. We asked you to help us find that conversation you did not send us the proof you say you had, you did not send us the Royal Mail tracking to prove we received it (and we did explain even if we did if it happened during our lock down process we can't handle the return due to the crisis).

We are deeply saddened that in a time of crisis when everyone should rally together you have chosen to beat down a business rather than support it when this is clearly beyond our control as we have explained in detail through the help desk. If you feel that a global epidemic and a complete government shutdown is a 'excuse' there is nothing more we can add.

Everyone is feeling this and we ask for compassion not anger, understanding not hate. The refund will be processed as soon as we are able to, we physically cannot do anything right now as health and safety of our staff and our customers is our paramount concern.
