I used Go Compare and Vavista offered the most competitive package

I used Go Compare and Vavista offered the most competitive package that produces a saving of more than £200 for the year in comparison with my former insurer. Signing up for the policy was a pleasant surprise as the procedure was set out with great clarity and uncluttered by energy-sapping small print which made it easy to follow. It was completed quickly and they acknowledged everything by email.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Customer service par excellence throughout the engagement process. I liked the courtesy displayed on the calls and conversations I had with the team. Got assistance on every aspect with fantastic closure to the process. I strongly recommend Vavista Insurance in as far as customer interaction is concerned.

Excessive charges for missed payments

Excessive charges for missed payments - all due to them being unable to assist with change of direct debit date - not helpful at all. Tried several times but having to deal with 2 separate places is not the ideal. It’s a no from me!

My car was hit by another driver that…

My car was hit by another driver that ran off and my partner who is an insured driver was the one who was driving and he was not at fault. I made a claim immediately on the 15th of October 2025 and both the police and the insurance company agreed he was not at fault after their investigations. I was handed over to AX and they did the same investigations and after that they called the witness and after speaking to him they sent him a letter and after a period of time they closed my claim which I noticed on their app after not hearing from them for a while and they informed me that they had to close the claim because they did not receive my witnesses report but my witness said he did post the letter back to them. The insurance I am paying allows me to get assistance whether I am at fault or not if I am not mistaken but on this case my partner was not at fault. Now I’m still paying my monthly comprehensive insurance and I have a damaged car and my claim reached a dead end. It’s so depressing. I tried calling to follow up but I couldn’t get any help.

Car insurance auto renewal.

Car insurance auto renewal.
Firstly it's not at all obvious that this is what I signed up for. So to be informed a few days before my cover ended that the policy had been renewed at double the previous annual price was incredibly annoying and time consuming to sort out. Opting out of the auto renewel is deliberately complicated- no answer on the customer helpline 15min + no answer, and no opt out links in the online portal [ the link is hidden at the bottom of one of 8 PDFs in the policy documents.
The fact that my insurance quote was twice that of the previous year only underlines the fact that the Vavista's auto renewal policy is designed to catch you out. It's a very unpleasant Customer Experience
to feel conned in this way.

I phoned vavista questioning about my car insurance renewal, I was talking to an advisor called violet ,who had no customer care skills, her tone for dealing with customers was awful.

A company I want to do business with

Vavista was not only the most competitive quote, but ease of use on their website at the business end of securing my car insurance was very noticeable. In addition, with them being part of vital tree planting operations - it made me think this is a company I want to do business with.
