First time with vavista
First time with vavista, was one of the cheapest quotes I got, came with extras that weren’t available or had additional costs elsewhere. I like that they are planting trees too!
Cheap Insurance, Terrible Registration Process
Vavista may be cheap, but the whole process is a nightmare. The registration is confusing and unnecessarily complicated, and to make payments you are forced to sign up with a separate third-party credit company, which is another frustrating and time-consuming process. Buying simple insurance should not be this difficult. Cheap prices are not worth this much hassle.

Avoid
Avoid , I contacted this company to cancel the automatic renewal, they said yes all cancelled and will not automatically renew,, two days later get a text to say thank you for renewing your car insurance, so back on the phone to them they apologised and said that it would not automatically renew, I asked them to send me an email with confirmation that the policy will not auto renew I received the confirmation email on the 10th saying that everything was cancelled down, only to wake up this morning to find out that they have taken nearly £50 from my account as they still tried to renew my cancelled policy. They are useless on the phone so had to go through my bank to get the money back.

extortionate cancellation fees...
premium was competitive enough however beware of the extortionate cancellation fees, I've just been asked to pay £143 cancellation on the £300p/y premium with cancelation fee of £75 alone + other fees. Ridiculous.

Hi,stay away from this car insurance details.A lot of misinformation, getting lots of emails from what you don’t understand anything at all.We started a car insurance with them from 26/03 until 14/04 until was cancelled by them with the reason that we missed to declare 3 speeding points and they issued a £160 payment upfront,we though that they will add the amount to the monthly DD, they prefer to cancel the insurance and issue me a £183 invoice for 2 weeks of insurance. No profesionalism at all .We have 4 cars in our household, never in my life happened this for a car insurance.AVOID

Disgraceful. Unfair charges, rude service…
My experience with VaVista has been extremely frustrating from start to finish, and I feel it’s important to share it so others can make an informed choice.
When I cancelled my car insurance policy early, I was told I owed an amount made up of various unexplained fees. Despite cancelling before my next payment date and never missing a payment, VaVista repeatedly referred to this amount as a “debt.”
One of their agents even asked me “When will you be paying the debt?” — something I have a screenshot of. This wording was misleading, pressurising, and completely inappropriate in a situation where I did not owe arrears.
This wasn’t the first issue. When I originally tried to take out the policy online, VaVista’s system wouldn’t allow me to complete it. I had to call them to finish setting it up, and then they tried to charge me an admin fee simply because it was done by phone — even though it was their own technical problem that made the call necessary. Only after challenging them did they admit this and remove the charge.
When it came to cancelling the policy, a long list of additional charges suddenly appeared with very little explanation. These included a cancellation fee, an arrangement fee, and further charges linked to their finance provider. Even after asking multiple times, VaVista has still not provided a clear or fair breakdown of what any of these fees actually represent or why they are so high.
The responses to my formal complaint have been repetitive, avoidant, and dismissive of the key issues I raised. Instead of addressing the fairness of the charges or the behaviour of their staff, they offered a small reduction as a “gesture of goodwill,” which didn’t resolve anything.
Overall, my experience with VaVista has involved:
Lack of transparency around charges
Misleading and inappropriate use of the term “debt”
Attempts to apply unnecessary or unjustified fees
Poor communication and refusal to acknowledge their own errors
A pattern of behaviour that does not feel fair or customer‑focused
This entire process has caused unnecessary stress and wasted time. I will be escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman Service, and I would not recommend this insurer to others.

What can I say
What can I say? Done my insurance 1 days ago, price competitive, straight forward, got my certificate after 2mts, low deposit and low monthly installments, so far so good.
Easy to manage account online, I think to be honest is the best car insurance I had so far, strongly recommend!!! Amazing
Absolute cancer
Absolutely awful wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy.
I notified them of an incident now I cannot change car unless I pay whole policy and cannot do this for 6 months due to a non fault accident that had £0 damages
Company's a joke and regret my policy and the customer service is disgusting. Never would I choose again. Been basically locked to a vehicle that's on its way out, hopefully this scam company ceases to exist. Never met such professional T&C criminals in my life
Now im a slave to my insurance policy 😅 £1500 to go boys.
Worst decision dont use or even remotely consider. Go for anyone else but vavista go-skippy or Somerset bridge.
Absolute MAFIA LEVEL EXTORTION

Loads of hidden Charges
Crooks. Cancelled policy after 10 months as they wouldn't insure new car. They then throw loads of hidden charges at you. Cannot give you a cancellation price until a week after you have paid a direct debit. This is the first time I have used Vavista and I wouldn't use them again.
