As a new runner, I visited the Nottingham Store with the sole purpose of trying on a pair of running trainers I had seen online (I planned to purchase second hand to start off with as my first purchase weren't cheap and consistently gave me blisters). Sally-Ann greeted me and was instantly warm and welcoming. I tried on some trainers and she completed my gait analysis, explaining that I over-pronate which would be why I was getting blisters (I had this done previously and was told I would be fine with any shoe...) Sally-ann talked me through some options of stability shoes but I felt no pressure into a sale. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient as I was very indecisive. I tried some on and had my gait analysis done again, and I could instantly feel and notice a difference. I did not intend on purchasing any trainers but walked away with brand new stability trainers and some proper running socks. I went on to complete my first ever 10k a couple of days later with absolutely no pain or blisters!!
Overall, I cannot thank Sally-Ann enough for her customer service, she went the extra mile to make sure I was walking away with the right shoe (fit and looks wise) without pressuring me into a sale. I would definitely recommend up&running, and Sally-Ann specifically, to anyone looking for running advice or accessories. I will be returning to purchase more items to get me ready for my first half marathon.

The service at Up and Running in Nottingham was exceptional. I don't think I have ever had such amazing service. The member of staff (Sami) was highly professional throughout. There was no sales pressure. His commitment was only to make a sale if the shoes matched my needs and my feet. He listened carefully when I said what I wanted the shoes for (longer walks and being on my feet a lot) He measured my feet carefully and explained about arch support and overall foot health. (I'm on a mission now to take better care of my feet!!) He was extremely knowledgable about individual shoes and what might serve my needs and support my feet best.
In short, Sami went over and beyond in supporting me to get the right shoes for my needs and my feet. It feels very validating as a customer to be listened to and to be heard. A heartfelt 'thank you'

Would recommend worth visiting, Chris took his time went through a number of different trainers to get me the pair that suited me.

I visited the Edinburgh shop on Sunday, and the staff were truly amazing. Even though it was nearing the end of a busy day, they were informative and enthusiastic, and helped me find exactly what I needed in a pair of running shoes as someone rather new to all this. I couldn’t speak more highly of them, and it will certainly be one of my go-to shops from now on.

Everyone was super helpful, and gave great advice. Overall great, and I would definitely recommend checking them out for running shoes and other running gear.

Visited Nottingham branch earlier today. Staff were very attentive and genuinely interested in helping customers. Rob was phenomenal and went over all options patiently.

Lucy at the Nottingham store was extremely helpful in guiding me when I bought a new pair of trainers. She understood that I needed supportive footwear and helped me get the right pair/size. It was really good to do the gait analysis and see how my feet were landing. Thank you 😊!

Top quality advice and guidance, nothing was too much trouble and you never once felt rushed or preasured into making a decision.
Yvette in the Filton (Bristol) was extremely helpful and just an all round friendly person.

I called in to a very busy shop today on Deansgate, Manchester. The service and advice given by Carla was fantastic. She patiently showed me & had me try at least six pairs of running shoes . The pair I chose where, to my delight, reduced in price as well as being best suited to my needs. Thank you Carla, I will be back & will also recommend.

Fantastic service from Sarah at the Chester store. Free gait analysis and Sarah walked (or ran) me through a number of different shoe options to suit. No upsell, just genuinely helpful advice. Ended up running 1/2 a k trying on shoes so dress appropriately!

I love this shop! Always friendly & can’t do enough to help you. Bought 2 pairs of trainers last week whilst there with friends - lots of choice till you find the perfect fit. Also bought some new sunglasses - again good selection to choose from. My partner popped in too whilst we were there - having tripped on a paving slab & hurt his toe. The first aid kit came straight out making sure he was ok before we left. Big thank you to Kim (?) and Steve. You were both so helpful and attentive - and we enjoyed the chat & laughs too. Went in not knowing what to expect, but Mark spent over an hour explaining with me, performed a gait analysis which helped narrow down options, and made several recommendations of shoes. Could not be happier with the service and advice which was offered, really excellent.

Very good company, Jamie helped me select the correct type of running trainers.

They let you go on the treadmill to see how you run, independent shop which is better than going to the big commercial places such as sport direct.

Excellent service will come back again for running trainers.
