Simon was excellent - asked the right questions - brought a pair of shoes of the same kind I have now - tried on the tread mill - analysed - brought another set of shoes - omg !!!! What a difference ….. looking forward to getting back to some running post a knee op - thanku !!! 😊

Chris at the Sheffield branch was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me excellent recommendations for running shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis, as well as some great advice on other gear for a beginner runner like me. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I really appreciated his help and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for expert advice.

I'm 75 years old and have bunions. Chris was very, knowledgeable and determined to make sure I got the right trainers for me condition.
I am sure you have excellent staff in all your stores but Chris is exceptional.

Fast delivery and quality item.

The staff, Marta, was immediately welcoming, friendly and asked what we were looking for. She then looked at the way I walk and used a thermal foot size/shape measuring device to help find out the correct shoes for me. Marta was not only kind but very knowledgable about walking and running shoes. She helped other family members in the past too. They have a good selection of brands that are optimal for walking and running. Would definitely recommend this particular shop to anyone.

My husband and I visited the Sevenoaks store for a gait analysis. Steve’s knowledge was excellent - he was attentive to both our needs and offered us a choice of shoes which met our requirements.

Robert was just so knowledgeable and supportive in helping me chose a pair of running shoes. He was patient and didn't rush me. He actually answered my questions rather than made me figure out the answer to the question I didn't ask.

My partner and I wanted some new running trainers, and are both working through pretty complex injuries. Sally Ann was incredibly patient and thoughtful and took the time to understand what we were dealing with and gave us plenty of options and advice. Couldn't recommend her and Up & Running enough!

The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and give great advice.
I've always had great service here complemented by the excellent range of high quality products.
I cannot run anymore but need decent trainers for walking.
My point is, there's no judgement about ability - elite athlete or my level, these guys will help you find a good product.

I had a fantastic experience at Up & Running. SallyAnn was brilliant from start to finish. She assessed my running gait using the treadmill and video analysis, clearly explained what she was seeing and what it meant, and helped me choose the right pair of trainers without any pressure. She was knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and genuinely encouraging throughout the whole process. The customer service was excellent, and because of this experience I'll definitely be coming back for future running gear. Highly recommended!

The Barnet store staff are so knowledge and helpful

As a new runner, I visited the Nottingham Store with the sole purpose of trying on a pair of running trainers I had seen online (I planned to purchase second hand to start off with as my first purchase weren't cheap and consistently gave me blisters). Sally-Ann greeted me and was instantly warm and welcoming. I tried on some trainers and she completed my gait analysis, explaining that I over-pronate which would be why I was getting blisters (I had this done previously and was told I would be fine with any shoe...) Sally-ann talked me through some options of stability shoes but I felt no pressure into a sale. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient as I was very indecisive. I tried some on and had my gait analysis done again, and I could instantly feel and notice a difference. I did not intend on purchasing any trainers but walked away with brand new stability trainers and some proper running socks. I went on to complete my first ever 10k a couple of days later with absolutely no pain or blisters!!
Overall, I cannot thank Sally-Ann enough for her customer service, she went the extra mile to make sure I was walking away with the right shoe (fit and looks wise) without pressuring me into a sale. I would definitely recommend up&running, and Sally-Ann specifically, to anyone looking for running advice or accessories. I will be returning to purchase more items to get me ready for my first half marathon.

The service at Up and Running in Nottingham was exceptional. I don't think I have ever had such amazing service. The member of staff (Sami) was highly professional throughout. There was no sales pressure. His commitment was only to make a sale if the shoes matched my needs and my feet. He listened carefully when I said what I wanted the shoes for (longer walks and being on my feet a lot) He measured my feet carefully and explained about arch support and overall foot health. (I'm on a mission now to take better care of my feet!!) He was extremely knowledgable about individual shoes and what might serve my needs and support my feet best.
In short, Sami went over and beyond in supporting me to get the right shoes for my needs and my feet. It feels very validating as a customer to be listened to and to be heard. A heartfelt 'thank you'
