Ronnie Simpson ran with my case for the 4 months leading up to trial, and on the day of the trial called to advise he was sending a substitute solicitor. The substitute did not have any knowledge of my case. He made no attempt to gain a reduction in my conviction.
Very unprofessional organisation given the high fee and misleading info on their website. £5000 down the drain. Do not trust these guys. I suggest you shop elsewhere.

I was accused of dangerous driving in September 2023, the incident took place in February 2023. I spoke to Ronnie as soon as the paper work was received and he dealt with everything. The case was put off several times due to waiting on CCTV footage of the incident which was held up by the prosecutor. Finally the CCTV footage came back showing I hadn't done anything wrong and the case was dropped.
Ronnie and his team were amazing throughout. I have never had anything like this before so was completely out of my depth and didnt have a clue what to do. Ronnie reassured me and explained the whole process and what would happen in court (thankfully it hasn't come to going to trial).

Can’t thank Michael enough not only did he fight my case to the best of his ability He got me the best result possible against two police witnesses - not guilty!

The Road Traffic Lawyer represented my son recently after he was charged with a driving violation. After the charge the team at RTL went through the file and managed to reduce the charge to a less serious offence. On the day of the trial, our lawyer Ronnie Simpson, managed to convince the sheriff that the best outcome would be an absolute discharge (see below). This was obviously a fantastic outcome for us. All the way through the process RTL were most professional and easy to deal with and I could not recommend them highly enough.

Absolute Discharge

When a person is guilty of a charge, the judge can decide to 'discharge' them (unless the sentence for the offence is fixed by law). In summary (less serious) cases, no conviction is recorded, however, for some purposes (for example if the person is convicted of another crime in the future), it may be regarded as a previous conviction. An absolute discharge is only given in exceptional circumstances.

I seem to be having some difficulty posting this review. This is my third attempt here and I have also had problems trying to post a review at Michael Lyon’s other offices. I hope this post is successful!
Being charged with dangerous driving was frightening. Especially when I had no experience of the legal system. Thankfully, Michael & Ronnie were able to help.
Not only did they work their legal magic but they were also supportive, throughout the nightmare of waiting for prosecution.
I had no idea about the legal process or that there would be so many delays and postponements to the court dates. (This seemed to be even worse during the pandemic.) Every week, then month, that passed raised my anxiety levels beyond belief but both Michael & Ronnie was very helpful and explained the process.
I was so very grateful for all the effort that they put into dealing with my case, especially Ronnie. His persistence paid off when my case was dismissed. No fine, no loss of licence, no points. I could not believe it! Words cannot express how grateful I am.

Great service from start to finish. My case was handled very professionally, Michael and Ronnie took time to listen to my case and guided me through my options outlining the potential outcomes. They took away all the stress of going to court. I was quite worried about losing my license for being accused of 65 in a 30. However with some great work from Ronnie they agreed to drop the speed to 60 and the charge from dangerous to careless. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough…twice I have been represented by Michael Lyon Solicitors and twice we have been successful. I have Mainly dealt with Martin Black who has always been excellent, but whenever I have spoken with another member of the team they have been equally as helpful.
