The Fair Trade Practice

The Fair Trade Practice
Was very helpful and efficient in securing refunds on a number of mis-sold products. The fee was worthwhile given the time it would have taken to contact the various institutions and complete all the paperwork.

The lady I spoke to (Molly) was very professional and polite. A few things I wasn’t completely sure on however she managed to explain each part in detail. Excellent service, I have recommended this service to all my friends and family.

Hassle Free

This was a hassle free way to nothing ventured, nothing gained potentially get yourself some money that you would not of otherwise had. Organised polite and knowledgeable throughout service with minimal inconvenience on the clients behalf.

From a bank that treated me very unfairly, it is extremely pleasurable to receive my cheque in the post!

Successful Refund

Was kept informed all the way and they successfully managed to get me a refund from the Halifax. Wasn't bombarded with nuisance phone calls and was pleased to get a refund.

Really good

Really good. Everyone I have dealt with there is decent, but a special shout out to Andrew Newman (😉) who called me to give the good news of yet another payout for PPI. That’s two nice payouts I have received, after trying off my own back and getting zero!

A bunch of thieves

A bunch of thieves. Constantly harassing my partner even though they know the nature of his job and his vulnerability. I wish we had known how to do the PPI ourselves sadly my partner was naive due to the adverts that popped up on Facebook. He was owed a cheque for just over £700 but no this scam of a company demanded it. AVOID. They have the nerve of charging for “so called” chasing phone calls.

Hello Amena. Thanks for your latest feedback, please see our response to your previous review.
It is also important to note that we have never advertised our PPI claims service on Facebook, with the overwhelming majority of our new customers being recommended to us. Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice

Fair and ethical; not my experience this time

I've used TFTP before and have recommended them to many friends and family, but my recent claim experience for a packaged bank account was been hugely stressful. TFPT submitted my claim then emailed me to say they had closed this claim and were not going to pursue it, leaving me to go back and forth with my bank from there about compensation. Then, TFTP sent me a bill for full payment. I queried this, saying that, as they had dropped out halfway through the process, leaving me to swap emails and phone calls with my bank, shouldn't this be reflected in their bill. A friendly advisor on the phone agreed the bill should be reduced. But over the bank holiday weekend a text arrives demanding full payment, followed by another chasing email this morning (Tues). Fair and ethical? That has been far from my TFPT experience. It's been haphazard and time-consuming, and when trying to explain the poor service I've received, I've received nothing but bulldog credit-chasing in return.

PPI Claim

In 2017 I was recommended by a friend to put in a claim for PPI. I did this but soon found out that I had to do all the work all these guys did was forward the information to the relevant banks. Something that I could have done. Last week I rang their customer service as I needed some information so that I could reclaim the tax. I spoke to a guy last week who was really really helpful but then had to speak to a girl this week who could not care less did not want to help and just wanted to get rid of me and finally started to argue with me about tax laws that she absolutely did not have a clue about. They also overcharged me by £50 which I wrote to them about but they guess what. Yes no reply. So as a company very up and down. Let down by some employees with a very poor attitude.

Hello Ian, thanks for leaving us your feedback though I’m sorry to hear of your experience. We are a claims management company who specialise in getting back the money our clients are owed, and our service involves liaising with lenders and providers, including chasing them up where necessary, as well as informing and advising you on the process along the way. We outline the service we will provide you with in our terms and conditions and letter of authority which all customers sign to confirm they agree with at the start of their journey.
Regarding your recent interactions with our phone team, whilst I’m pleased to hear one team member was very helpful I apologise for how the second call left you feeling and will pass this feedback on for you. I can see the information you requested has now reached you, and I will ask a Manager to reach out to you regarding the amount you were charged and answer any questions you may still have.
Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice

Passed on to TFTP by a friend to go…

Passed on to TFTP by a friend to go after PP whilst I was visiting relatives in the UK. Had a phone call with a very demanding sales person insisting that I make as many claims as possible against all banks and building societies, pushing me to do so despite having little time to talk as I was about to get on a plane to fly back home and was trying to manage my children.

Having little understanding of what this meant I agreed. The process started off as intensive across over 10 claims but soon became pure and simple harassment. I live overseas and was called sometimes twice a night daily at 1 and 2am to have 45minute conversations where they insisted I tell them how they feel so that they could form a case against the providers. Even though I told them I live overseas and they were calling in the middle of the night this persisted for at least 6 months.

Despite being unable to provide any proof after over 30 years of banks and credit cards 3 years later I am still being hounded to progress more claims all because I was pushed into signing a contract.

I am a professional CEO running a business in the marketing sector. The customer service has been coercive and quite frankly intimidating I wish I had know the traumatic, time consuming process this would be. It didn't even let up during COVID. I am absolutely incredulous at this entire process. Please do not get convinced to take out claims unless you can dedicate part time hours like a job to managing it to get the outcome you need. I ended up with 1 claim and a rebate of less than 60GBP after 3 years. You tell me if that kind of rebate is worth it.

Hello Sam, thanks for leaving us your feedback though I’m sorry to hear of your experience. We never aim to be pushy in our approach in any way, and in fact invest a lot of time into communicating with our customers in a friendly and human way so I’m sorry if you felt this wasn’t the case for you.
Looking at your file I can see that we have your contact preferences noted, and have attempted to call you at your local time of 8pm in all of our call attempts since November 2020. However I acknowledge that there were previous calls made at less suitable times prior to that, for which I can only apologise. In relation to COVID-19 however I will flag that between February and November 2020 we only made one attempt to call you.
I can see that you have now requested cancellation details for your remaining active claims with us, so this will be provided via email in due course.
Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice
