Helpful and friendly

Helpful and friendly
From start to finish The Fair Trade Practice were helpful and friendly. I would never have got around to doing it myself, so as they had dealt successfully with my initial claim, it seemed a good idea to use them for my tax claim. I appreciated their help and professionalism plus their easy to use forms. Definitely recommend.

Great Life Insurance service

I've just renewed some life insurance with Harry Foley at The Fairtrade Practice. What a lovely and professional young man. Kind, informative, knowledgeable and fun. He got me what I needed, explained it clearly, rang when he said he would, found me the best deal and reassured me. These are frontline services to me. In our changing world, we can often be unkind to one another and young people like Harry are doing their best. So, thank you Fairtrade Practice and thank you Harry.

I was contacted by this company and…

I was contacted by this company and they said they would look into compensation for miss sold bank packages. I agreed and I have heard today that I will receive compensation for this. I could have done this for myself but I probably wouldn’t have bothered because I was pretty sure I wouldn’t be entitled, so it’s cost me their fee but with a good result . Very nice, helpful lady on the phone .

Great efficient service

Great efficient service, very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Only real complaint relates to period last year, when emailing an agent in response to their email notification, they took a long time to respond. And of course, it would be nice if they took less commission.

Successful Claim....

The Fair Trade Practice helped me with my PPI claim which they made very easy and simple for me, which was successful. They also dealt with reclaiming the Tax I paid on my claim and again another successful story. Throughout they were friendly, professional and kept me informed with the progress along the way, which was hassle free . They were also able to pass me to another lead to change my critical illness, which was very worth while. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family and have done so. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company
Do not use at all costs. I contacted them back in 2019 when PPI claims were the hot topic and after several months of sending various details to them, they confirmed that none of the claims they had submitted were successful and no PPI had been mis sold - fine. However, 3 years later!! last month I receive a call saying that my 'cancellation' invoice will be with me soon and has to be paid within 14 days! What! What cancellation, what invoice. Haven't heard anything from them for 3 years and suddenly they are trying to charge me over £300 to cancel the claims for Nationwide claims that were unsuccessful but I was meant to submit letters from Nationwide to this effect, despite the fact they know the claims were unsuccessful as they put the claim through!! The lady I spoke to on the phone a month ago was unhelpful, rude and patronising. I told her I had never received any such invoice and would not be paying it - her response, 'you have to contact Nationwide to get the confirmation the claims weren't successful in order to close this or you have to pay the invoice'. Still have not received said invoice, but get an email today from 'credit control' threatening all sorts of extra charges, debt recovery and court. What an absolutely despicable company, avoid at all costs unless you want to be threatened, harassed and upset beyond words. I wish I had never heard of this company and checked reviews out first then I would never have entertained using them. I will be reporting to the Financial ombudsmen

Dear Stacey, thank you for your review. Having located your file, I can see that your lender requested further information from you back in 2019. We contacted you on a number of occasions between then and now to help you pursue the claim but failed to receive the required information from yourself. As such, a cancellation invoice was issued to you in line with our terms and conditions to cover the cost of the work carried out on your behalf up to that point.

Thank you for now getting in touch as we would much rather remove the cancellation invoice and see your claim through to the end. I can see you've now spoken with a staff member who has explained all of this to you and you have agreed to send us the required documentation to resolve the matter. Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice.

Neither fair nor ethical - Reported to Action Fraud and the Ombudsman!

The company called my blind mother and tried to pressure her into giving them her sort code and account number.

They also told her not to inform the bank that they had called. They then a sent text message pressuring her to send her details - despite their website professing to do none of these things!

When I contacted them, they dishonestly insisted my mother had created an account with them. I refuted this as she unable to do so.

Eventually they admitted no account had been created directly with them. They stated her details had been obtained from a third-party ETICO...whoever they are!

(There is no obvious reference to ETICO on the website, despite at one point alleging they were the same company.)

Reported to Action Fraud and the Financial Ombudsman.

Truly awful

Could not provide any further information after initially contacting and saying they could help. Made that absolutely crystal clear.several times . It was impossible to provide any further information. Not heard anything for years, then of course they start mithering for money. I could not have been any clearer. I recommend never touching any of these tin pot outfits with no win no fee outfits ever. They are all chancers .

Dear Nick, thank you for your review. Having located your file, I can see that your lender requested proof of your identity back in 2019. We contacted you on a number of occasions between then and now to help you pursue the claim but failed to receive the required proof from yourself. As such, a cancellation invoice was issued to you in line with our terms and conditions to cover the cost of the work carried out on your behalf up to that point. We don't and never have, referred to ourselves as no win no fee.

Thank you for now getting in touch as we would much rather remove the cancellation invoice and see your claim through to the end. If it results in compensation, we will charge our fee based on the percentage you signed up to. If it doesn't result in compensation, you won't owe us anything. In order to pursue the claim, the lender will accept one of the following; marriage certificate, deed poll, decree absolute, civil partnership certificate or gender recognition certificate. You can send this to us via post or email. Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice.
