I ordered a woman’s shirt online from Territory Ahead with picture stating shirt was cotton linen. Shirt arrived after several weeks. Shirt was a very thin not cotton fabric. Very cheap with white buttons and white thread outlining on dark shirt. I put into a bag for Goodwill.
Poor service on refunds related to returns
I returned some items which they confirm they’ve received and still don’t have my refund 21 days later. I keep getting different reasons for the delay. Their last response said their return system was not functional and they didn’t know when I’d get the refund. I’ve since checked their reviews and they are pretty bad. I never thought to check when I made the initial purchase as I’ve always assumed they were a reputable company. Apparently that has changed!
Really subpar products
Really subpar products, for example: size large shirt sleeves are abnormally long- like too long for Big Foot. Contacted the company like 10 times for return label. No response. Asked for supervisor to contact me at least 6 times. No follow up whatsoever. Run, don’t walk away from this piece of s company.
Territory Ahead - Poor Quality Jeans
Similar to others, we were loyal customers but one pair of jeans ripped (poor quality stitching or something) after only 4-5 times wearing. Since these were his "going out" jeans, it happend after the timeframe they accept returns. Called MANY times, sent pictures, elevated and NO refund. They have just lost another one.

Good evening. I'm reaching out because I'm now being charged for returned product received by your warehouse weeks ago!! While understand there's a return process you have in place, I don't understand why this is taken so long to process. I immediately returned this merchandise back to your warehouse and so it seems like you're taking your time to refund me. This is not good business to your consumers and will unfortunately prevent me from shopping with you again. So, I asked that you please expedite this process as I've gained little to no patience with your company and how you all chooses to handle this.

Like so many others, my refund has not been received from Territory Ahead, now 3 months from when they received my return. What’s really disgusting is I keep receiving their catalogs in the mail, which are promptly thrown in recycling. Customer service is truly despicable.

The company is not processing refunds
The company is not processing approved refunds. I'm a Long time customer, rarely had to send back items, never a problem before. My current $200.00+/- refund is about 3 months late and nothing but double talk from customer service. Is the company going out of business ?
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I reached out 3 times regarding a mens button down shirt. After washing the shirt, the fabric faded in blotches. As if it was bleached. Customer service asked that i send pics, which i did, twice. They never got back to me. Terrible! I will never order from them again. Terrible customer service! Inferior fabric. Made in china. They don't care. So disappointing!
What happened to Territory Ahead????
What happened to Territory Ahead????? For almost 2 decades it has been my favorite place to buy clothes. The last few experiences I have had were distressing - especially regarding shipment/refunds/customer service. The shirt was fine, but it arrived after I needed it. I have been lied to about availability/shipping/refund procedures etc. Most recently I was told "refunds are on hold"?!?!?! is that even a thing? and I was not offerred a product credit - even though I asked.

Always backordered - delivery sucks
Of the several times I've ordered from TA the items are backordered. In the past couple months, same thing, except I kept getting the same reply for about 2 months that their vendor is having difficulty. I finally canceled that order, weeks now have past on my current order with the same old story. TA needs to get different and reliable vendors, or don't advertise things that can't be delivered. I will NOT buy from them again.

I have been a very happy customer for many years, quality, fit and sale prices all were very good. Until my most recent order in March. Fortunately it was for a clearance price shirt and not an expensive leather jacket. My experience is similar to previous posts. Never arrived, total run around from customer service, waiting on a refund that still hasn’t been received. Then out of the blue, the item arrived. Customer service told me to return it for a refund. I explained to them that I have been waiting for the original refund for over 6 weeks and that I wasn’t confident that I would ever receive one. What a mess from I company that I used to recommend to anyone who complemented me on their products.
Fraud and Scam Alert
As with many people who have ordered items through The Territory Ahead, I have been duped. I have had the same experiences as many on here in not receiving an item, being told it’s on indefinite back order, and after 4 months of phone calls and emails, I still haven’t received a refund. This company is committing fraud. My last correspondence with them was 4/16 and was told I would get a refund asap, but they couldn’t tell me what that even meant. This company has to be going under. I can’t believe any other reason why their customer service is so horrible. Buyer beware.
What an utter disappointment
What an utter disappointment. I used to buy lots of items from them 20 years ago. They were reputable and reliable like any higher end retailer. Now it's a complete joke they back order items in stock at the time of purchase, charge you for it and then never process the refund. Or say it's in the system. What system? I hope they and J. Peterman GO OUT OF BUSINESS.
Garbage company
I ordered a bunch of stuff for my husband for Christmas, all of which was “in stock”, according to the website. I received one item while the others just showed “order confirmed” for weeks. When I was finally able to reach someone in customer service, they told me they didn’t know if or when those items would be back in stock, so I cancelled them and received a refund in a timely manner.
The one item I DID actually receive, my husband decided he didn’t want. I sent it back within the return window and tracked the package to ensure it arrived. It has been THREE MONTHS and I have yet to receive a refund. I was assured (about a month after they received it) that I would be refunded within 3-5 days. Those days went by. I contacted them again, and was told 1-3 days. Nothing. Again, it has been THREE GODDAMNED MONTHS, and I can’t get my money back.
ETA: it’s now July 9th. I still have not received my money.
Downhill slide
I’ve enjoyed Territory Ahead’s products for several years now. Good fit, nice quality, etc. However, 6 weeks ago I ordered a T-shirt and have yet to receive it. I’ve contacted customer service 3 times now and have been told it’s “lost in the system” - yet I was charged the day the order was placed. Not sure what has happened to this company, but it seems to have gone down hill (new management?). Good thing it wasn’t a $300 or $400 order!

My experience for several years was always positive; I've ordered dozens of items, great products and always reliable. Their quality seemed to slip andehen I tried to contact them I never heard anything back. My last order was a couple pair of jeans, both the sane and one of which was marked wrong. One pair was way too big. They told me they were couldn't be returned because I tried them on. My bank credited my Visa card and since I didn't hear anything from Territory, I kept them; intimately gave them away. That was the last time I'll ever buy from them.
