I decided to have the product and the problem independently assessed. I then wrote again to Team 7 advising them in detail of the issues and the likely cause of the problem. Team 7 replied and said they regret and wish to resolve any misunderstanding. I have now sent to Team 7 further information on the problem including photographs. Team 7 advises they will now investigate the issue and respond accordingly. I will provide another update once Team 7 provides its response.

Within 2 hours of posting my last update on Trust Pilot (see below) noting Team 7 had not replied to me I received an email from the company. The email I sent a week ago was addressed to the CEO, his executive assistance responded. The most interesting aspect with Team 7’s approach to customer support is that in none of their communications including today’s has the company inquired about the problem. They have only stated there can’t be a problem either because their technical data says it's not possible and no one else has brought the issue regarding the product we are not happy with to their attention. Interestingly the product has now been dropped from the company’s range. Team 7 promotes its ethics and sustainability practices as part of the company’s brand. This is the main reason we supported Team 7 for more than a decade across two countries. It's also why we expected to receive empathy and understanding when providing feedback to the company about a product we have a problem with. In my career I created one of the leading B Corp companies in Australia so I have a good knowledge of responsible business practices and how to treat long standing loyal customers who are strong brand advocates. Unfortunately, we are now no longer either of Team 7. After more than a decade of purchasing Team 7 products both in Europe and Australia my wife and I will no longer support the company or its products.

Please note Team 7's response below to my original post. As the company advised me to do I wrote to Team 7 at the address provided addressing my note to the CEO of Team 7. It's now a week and there has been no response.

I have been a loyal Team 7 Furniture customer for over a decade. My whole home is furnished with their products. In recent years the quality of the products has declined. I have recently written to the company to offer them sincere feedback regarding one of their products which we are not satisfied with. The company response was arrogant and lacked empathy. I will not purchase the company's products again and do not recommend it to anyone else.
