The worst steak meal I have ever been served with
We have stayed at The Swinton Hotel before and even called in when passing for occasional meals which were always first class in all respects
On this occasion I had ordered a medium cooked sirloin steak with chips for over £50.
The meal was served without a steak knife and the sirloin was cut into strips in a mushroom sauce on an elongated plate.. When trying eat the first strip it was tough with a large lump of fat attached, as I tried the next piece there was evidence of blood with the steak and at the last strip you could plainly see blood present.
When you cut into strips into pieces with the length and compress them blood did appear to ooze from each cut piece. The meat in my many years of eating such meat, appeared to be of poor quality
Even the chips were of poor quality as there was quite number of small crunchy chips with no potatoe within.
I complained to two junior staff on duty but they did not know what to say.
Furthermore, on the Tuesday afternoon my wife ordered a cream tea and I ordered a Cappuccino coffee.The coffee was served without a saucer and the young waiter put the coffee cup down by holding the cup around the rim of the cup with his fingers and thumb as he placed it down. I said something to wife about no saucer. The young water returned with a saucer placed it down in front of me, then proceeded to pick up the coffee cup using his thumb and fingers around the rim of the cup and placed the cup upon the saucer. I mention to him this was an unhygienic way to serve coffee. He did not know what to say and walked away

Advisor Very DIfficult to Understand
The online form to obtain a quote was fine and I was happy with the price offered, so I went through the payment process, but when it came to verification, I was unable to get my Mastercard app on my phone while being on my phone to Swinton. So I rang your helpline and the woman with whom I was dealing was really difficult to understand. Yes, she spoke English but with a strong foreign accent and she insisted on laboriously going over all the details that I had already completed online. It was painfully slow and very frustrating.
