I’m very disappointed with the Sunwing representative, Monica, at Viva by Wyndham Mexico. We approached her twice this morning to confirm our return bus to the airport, but she was unhelpful, unresponsive, and seemed to ignore us entirely. Despite our efforts to get information on our pickup time, she did not provide any details or assistance. This lack of cooperation has caused unnecessary stress for our family as we try to finalize our travel arrangements. Very unprofessional and frustrating experience with Sunwing’s service at this location.

My daughter in law was diagnosed with a medical problem. Advised not to travel. They had to cancel their trip to Jamaica. No compassion. They lost all of their hard earned vacation 2 adults 2 kids. Not even offered a voucher.
Bad experience
Booked a 4 person family vacation to jamaica. On departure found out that we were all separated on the flight. But for an extra 50$ a person we could have reserved seating. We spent almost 6,000$ on a vacation to be told that for an extra 400$ we can sit together. Sorry sunwing, you dropped the ball on that one.. next vacation will not be through sunwing..

The manager, STEVEN or STEPHEN at Sunwing customer service is unbelievably unprofessional. Hung up on the phone on me after i asked to speak to a supervisor. Was talking over me. He treated me rudely and made interaction frustrating. lack of basic courtesy and respect is shocking. If this is how management behaves, it's no wonder the service here is terrible.
I will be filing a formal complaint to head office and any other necessary bureau.
Horrendous customer service
I wanted to plan a vacation with my family, so i called Sungwing customer service to ask a question about checked luggage. As I sometimes do when I want to make sure of an information, i ask the agent so you confirm that . Sacha (the agent)then raised her voice and yelled at me " Are you deaf or are you stupid!?" Needless to say I was in shock. I asked her if she really just said that and then she acted as if she didn't say anything. Asked to get a call back from a supervisor, even called another agent to get a supervisor to call me, they never did. I booked a trip with aircanada vacations instead. To Sunwing, I am still waiting for that callback.

Premium Travel Club or H10 Hotels are SCAMMERS. I got scammed from them, they promise a lot of offers to become a member but none of them is real. Do not pay any money to them. when you trying to book vacation with them it’s probably more expensive than when you do it yourself. Scammers!
DO NOT BOOK WITH SUNWING
booked a vacation for my family of 4 (myself, husband, 2 young kids age 7 and 10). I am writing after I tried to submit a claim under flight delay and was told that my claim is invalid. Here are the facts:
- My flight was scheduled for July 27 @16:45
- 1st Delay to 21:45 that same day (5 hours later) due to staffing issues
- 2nd Delay to 08:00 on July 28 (one day later) due to technical/safety issues
Although I can appreciate that the second delay was due to safety, the first delay was due to staffing issues which is unacceptable and within the control of Sunwing. We spent over 5 hours at the airport just waiting with one delay after another.
To make matters worse:
- After we were offloaded from the unsafe flight, we were required to wait for our luggage which took over an hour
- After retrieving our luggage we were required to wait in line for another 1.5 hours in order to get a taxi voucher. By the time we got home, it was almost 1am.
- We were required to be back to the airport the following morning by 4:30 am (per their employees). This meant that we got 3 hours of sleep (at most) and this is how our "Wonderful" vacation was to start
- We finally got on the flight the following day and upon arrival at the hotel at around 3pm, we were advised that they could not find our room booking. This was strange since I would have expected Sunwing to have advised the hotel of this delay since we purchased a vacation PACKAGE. But it appears that we did not have rooms. It was another 2 hours until we were situated in rooms.
As you can tell from the above, our first (but really second day of vacation) was a complete write-off. We were sleep deprived, tired, stressed and in foul moods. Keeping in mind that we went through all of this with 2 young children. We were so exhausted by the time we were in our rooms, that we just slept. That is 2 days of vacation gone.
After all of this, Sunwing's response was: Sorry, nothing can be done for you. Had the flight not been delayed in the first place due to lack of staff, we would have found out at 4pm that there were issues and things would never have been as awful as they were. They DO NOT take responsibility for their issues at all. USE ANY OTHER AIRLINE!!!

Don't go to Hoguin airport because the local rep will not take you to the resort, it is 5hrs away! they will take this opportunity to put you as a prey for money!!!!!!!!!! Sunwing-Riu Vacations drowned in incompetence and ignorance.
The purchase of Sunwing by Westjet did nothing to improve the airline. From long delays, uncomfortable seats, no service - not even water, poor communications, agents not knowing what they are doing and a partnership with Riu to complement the disarray and utter disrespect of guests, Riu-Sunwing-Westjet should be grounded and left to annuls or worse customer experience.

Last September, I had the worst experience ever with Sunwing Vacations.
It's been eight months since I first contacted them in re to my trip from Sept 9-13th, 2023.
I have been patient and have tried to get rid of the frustration that it has caused to my wife and me. Eight months have passed and the so-called Sunwing Customer Care are still "investigating". I know what customer service is all about because I run a place where we have thousands of thousands of clients/members. But before this, I also did a lot of investigations as a Destination Rep for Air Transat, Signature Vacations. However, the way they have handled this case is discombobulating, it would have negatively baffled the shyest customer. However, I am not really surprised after reading the reviews Sunwing has in the major platforms. It's a real shame how embarrassing the reviews are.
The follow-up to what we experienced after been robbed by their own business partners has been traumatic and distressing, to say the least. To add insult to injury, you have been instrumental in this embarrassing scenario for such a huge company, though I understand that the size of an enterprise is not measured by its physical size, but by its care and respect for its customers or clients.
Their follow-up after we communicated to them that we had been robbed has been extremely poor. To the point that they have replied to us with an email they had to send to another disgruntled client, What a faulty communication chain.
Customer Service doesn't care about clients!! They have asked or requested all sorts of information, including a notarized letter which I had to pay for, and used my personal time to satisfy your "demands", such is the case.
Regarding our losses, the time we have invested in back-and-forth emails, but mainly because of our frustrations, it all translates into an atrocious experience for us. But I promise you that due to the fact that at the beginning I could have never imagined that today we would have still been at sea, I will use my time to let people know how you treat your customers.

Fly any other airline, you will be much happier. Sunwing wrecked our vacation and did not even have the courtesy to call as requested.

Food was horrible, and they served me a nice bowl of Food Poisoning via room service. . I was in bed writhing in pain for the last 4 days of my vacation. Staff, completely unresponsive.
The beds are hard, there are no bathtubs, the beach is down a huge flight of stairs. and there are no bathrooms on the beach. So you have to climb those stairs every time. Not enough outdoor seating for everyone, and very little shade around the adults only pool. (no umbrellas). The hot tub is beside the family pool, and was filled with toddlers the entire trip.
6 hour delay
Let me start by saying that after 5 years of not travelling due to health reasons our first flight with Sunwing was a really bad experience! Lies after lies after lies, couldn’t find their crew, imagine that, and they actually announced this nonsense, and therefore a six hour delay!
First it was a 3 hour delay, then more delays, then the plane finally arrived from Toronto they said but guess what? They announced they couldn’t find their crew———— imagine that?????
Finally after a 6 hour delay we boarded. Remember they said our plane was coming from Toronto? Well a frustrated pilot announced that they had come in from Hamilton.
My booking number was 135318223, my flight was 4122!
They’ve replied saying we aren’t allowed any compensation because there was technical issues and it was for our safety———what a way to cover yourselves!
Where is the customer service? All I wanted was a decent, respectful experience, reasonable delays are okay but this was not reasonable!
You need to do something sunwing and a $50 certificate by mail doesn’t cut it!
