Good to know
We understand that passengers come with luggage, so we won’t charge you any extra for yours. Car passengers can bring as much as they can fit into their vehicles. And foot passengers can bring as much as they can carry, so long as no single piece of luggage is over 23kg in weight. That makes packing a whole lot easier!

We had a crew member be very rude and aggressive with us when parking our car on the journey to Scotland. He was quite threatening in his language and interaction. Would really like to speak with someone. I complained and was offered free breakfast but declined.

We love the convenience of an overnight ferry. Both crossings this time were very smooth and we slept well.

Removal of free internet for this 8 hour trip is causing much customer resentment and losing you business - for the sake of just £2 per customer.
Even Irish Ferries has free internet (albeit it has to be reset every 20 minutes)

Ease of booking and check in. Once on the ferry the cabin was clean and comfortable. On arrival in the UK once you left the ferry you walked straight onto the train. So easy and convenient.

Freya trip was great as normal but the checking in process is a big problem
Website says check in opens 2 hours before sailing, but on arrival at the port the gates state they are closed until 90 minutes before sailing, on our sailing the gates were opened 60 minutes before sailing with no explanation from anyone and we had been sat in our car for 1 hour along with several other travellers in their own cars

We use the Stena Plus lounge which is more comfortable and relaxing. The staff throughout are always pleasant and helpful.

Remains a very good service and experience.
Unfortunately becoming expensive to the point I would spend 30% less overall by using Dover - Calais / Dunkirk crossing.
Diesel & Ferry fare DFDS - vs - Stena Line Ferry Fare.

Unfortunately are holiday was cut short due to a breakdown and Stena Line were fantastic in helping us change our ferry booking to accommodate an earlier crossing to Belfast from a different port, very pleasant, efficient service that took a lot of stress out of a very stressful situation. The staff on the phone and at Birkenhead were outstanding in how they handled our situation with the understanding of how much stree we were under at that time, can’t thank them enough.

Both my travels were on time, the experience was comfortable enough and even traveling with a pet was a good experience.

Outward journey the lift from the car deck was packed and took over 15 mins to get us to the stunner plus lounge with two elderly parents that have mobility issues. This ment we had limited choice of seats when we got into the premier lounge dispute having premier birding! ASI my father passed out while on board, no one even noticed I was having to attend to home with my elderly mother, none of the passengers offered any assistance and the staff did not seem to notice either! As my father has prostate cancer as is now 89 I was concerned that it was more than a fainting episode!

It was very busy on the ferry. I was glad to have a cabin.
Some of the carpet in at the bottom o the stairs are showing signs of frquent use, it would be a good idea to get the carpets redone.
Staff friendly and helpful.

There was great communication keeping us updated before and during the sailing. It all went smoothly and there was a good choice of food and drink available - plus the duty free shop

No hassle booking, boarding and disembarking even with a touring caravan. Staff friendly and plenty seating options.
Only irritating issue was unsupervised children running about screaming, shouting and disturbing passengers who were trying to rest. Both parents and Stena staff ignored them. A friendly reminder might help this!

On our outward journey, we usually do priority boarding and stena plus, the premium package, just wondering why two full rows went on before us, not exactly what we paid for,but a fantastic trip otherwise, when your trip costs nearly 600 you expect to get what u pay for. Also put down on deck 5, and nearly impossible to get the lift.
