I wanted to discuss an amendment to my policy with an agent but it was almost impossible unless I was prepared to pay £15. Unbelievable. Directed to the website which obviously didn’t answer my query because that’s where I started. The chat bot was also useless.

Whilst we (thankfully!) didn’t require to use our travel insurance on our recent holiday, I felt reassured knowing that we had a comprehensive insurance package, especially with the amount of activities/excursions we participated in.

Appalled. Be very careful of Staysure's auto-renewal strategy. I'm sat here with a letter from Staysure (dated 8 days ago) telling me my 'Europe' travel insurance premium has increased (but 'Europe' excludes travel to Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Malta and Tunisia.) That clearly narrows our travel.options considerably. The letter also tells me I must advise of changes or cancellation 10 days before renewal. So with the eight days waiting for the letter and the 10 days required notice, Staysure are ensuring the window to act is as narrow as possible. However most annoying is that they intend to auto-renew using last years payment details. I did not agree to that but they will take payment unless I contact them. So after waiting 20 minutes on the phone to cancel the auto-renew without any answer I'm now awaiting a call-back. It seems very obvious Staysure deliberately frustrate attempts to cancel yet are very ready to trigger auto-renew - both very much in Staysure's best interests. Such customer unfriendly and obstructive tactics only become clear and obvious having declared an intention to cancel. Very unsavoury.
