Rude Representative, Awful Item

I bought the Jlab GO Air POP earbuds at the Unity Square location in Edmonton. After getting them I realized they can't be turned on without the case. Huge disadvantage. When I tried to return them, the Staples sales guy - a shift manager by the name of Rob, I believe - was very rude, saying I just didn't know how to work the earbuds. But after he tried it himself and realized I was right, all he was willing to do - without apologizing, of course - was to replace the defective earbuds with another set of the same model, which were defective in the exact same way. As much as I like being gaslighted by Staples employees, I don't think I'll be returning to that store.

Purchased an original HP 30A black…

Purchased an original HP 30A black laserJet Tone cartridge at 110.00$. The cartridge was dry and useless and since I installed it after 30 days of purchase, they can't do anything.
Never purchasing anything from them again!

Christopher,main st. moncton,nb,is the worst manager I ever had to deal with. I’ve been going to staples x 10 years for my business and will no longer go. The worst worst experience ever!!! It was only for a $6.90 printing error, but it was the way he dealt with the situation that was disgusting. Staples lost a good customer and I will for sure not recommend this store to any of my clients and friends.

The manager of this store is RUDE beyond measure, obnoxious, shouting at me. Her treatment of me when answering my question was impatient with the attitude of "you stupid women can't you read". She does not deserve to be a Manager, let alone have any contact with the customers. The rude unexpected treatment that was flung at me by the manager on 19 November at 9:06am was sickening. Uncalled for.

Extremely Disappointed with Staples' Support and Service

I am very frustrated with the lack of responsibility shown by Staples regarding my phone issue. It has been over four months since I first raised this problem, and despite their protection plan, I have not received a resolution.

On October 22, 2024, I received an email from their customer support (Youssef T.) advising me to visit the store for a refund or resolution. However, over a month has passed since that communication, and no progress has been made. This situation has wasted a significant amount of my time, and Staples has failed to take ownership of the issue.

The customer support team has been unresponsive and unhelpful throughout this process. I expected a reliable solution, but instead, I have been left waiting with no clarity or accountability.

Staples needs to address this immediately by replacing my phone and compensating me for the unnecessary delays and inconvenience caused. I am deeply disappointed in their service and would caution others about relying on their protection plans.

Rude toxic manager

Staples at 16 Seacliff Dr E, Leamington, ON N8H 2L2
I'm from Vancouver, BC and was traveling in Leamington last month and had to shop for a router since my travel router had died. The manager Mike was absolutely horrible and if he was my first impression on a tourist from BC, then I would go back home telling about rude people in Ontario. Will never go back there again and told everyone in Vancouver. I went to Best Buy and had a completely different experience.

Ordered a laptop online as it said it…

Ordered a laptop online as it said it had stock and was available to pickup in 2 hours. They lied. They now say it will be delivered to the store next week. I have cancer and wanted a laptop to take to the hospital with me. Now I have to wait till the store gets the laptop to get a refund???? Worst experience ever.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. Their printing service is absolutely terrible for greeting cards, especially for same day orders. Shame on me for going back several times, but I won’t again. Always off centre and misaligned, folds in the wrong place, faded color with specks, lightweight paper, etc. I have expertise with design and creating printable cards and the problem is clearly not me. When I speak to them about things a printer should know I am met with blank expressions or comments brushing me off. And I am always super polite, to start with at least. Expensive and horrible quality, zero expertise, and by far the worst customer service I have received anywhere, including being yelled at and told to my face that I was lying and they knew better. They can’t provide details on preferred image format (pdf vs. jpg), can’t tell you what printer they use, and make changes to quality without informing the customer. I’ve ordered over 25 same-day cards over the past year and recently the paper weight changed and is now extremely thin and flimsy - not card quality. When I brought it up and gave them an example, they started raising their voices and being rude, telling me that I was lying. The employee Sanif at the University ave location in Toronto specifically is extremely rude and unhelpful. They all refuse to take any responsibility or apologize. Many times I’ve come to pick up an item I’ve ended up waiting 30-40 minutes for them to finally try to fix the issue, with less than desirable results. Unbelievable. I would recommend any other printer - especially Vistaprint and Moo. Vistaprint, when wrong, apologizes and is helpful - and they have printing expertise to find solutions. Don’t ever use a big chain like Staples if you need professional quality. I left today with awful cards and without a refund, after waiting almost an hour for them to “fix” them. Please do not use Staples. Not worth the stress to be provided with such horrible quality and service.

Stopped at staples woodlawn rd Guelph on today to return an Amazon pkg 12 persons in a line up and I explained to the manager do we not have more employees to help out he sneaked away like a lizard and decided it was time to disappear rude and ignorant will never darken that doorstep ever again !

I always am a good customer Staples on notre. Dame in Subway, Ontario, Canada. I have purchased many items at the store today. I brought back a printer because it wasn't working because the sign says textexercises the lady there today. October 20th, Sunday, October 20th, the lady came out of the text services box office and said that they have never in 24 years had a text services department and that only the associates. Would help you with things if they had time, but they don't actually have technicians to.
Help you with any of their product products. I would not have brought my printer in there that I purchased 2 years ago. If I had known that they would not have anyone take a look at it.
The lady was very rude about it. She was the manager and she more. Or less called me a liar in front of everybody when I told her that I had often had people help me there in that store over the past 20 years that I've been living here. In the tax service department and she said they weren't technicians. They were just associates helping you. And I said we'll take the sign down. Then if there are no technicians that can give me some help with my printer. That I purchased there 2 years ago.

Gerrard Square at 10:08 am today, 17 Oct 2024. Joshua was amazing. I am not good with this stuff and Joshua took my Cell phone and brought up the.correct document, he prepared the copy machine and took 2 copies like I had wanted. Ty Joshua for providing exemplary customer service, this morning...it's so rare. He represented Staples very well...Kudos

Staples in Hawkesbury.... bad place

I go to Staples in Hawkesbury to buy a scanner. No salesman in the room. Finally, I see one. The saleswoman is young and charming. It took me 15 minutes to find her in the store. I show her a model of device and ask her if this is a scanner. She says yes. So I buy it and have it installed by a specialist. When I ask him to scan a document, he tells me that I got a printer not a scanner. Furious, I return to the Staples store. The "charming" saleswoman looks down at me, speaking loudly, and tells me that I chose the model, that I didn't ask for a scanner and that she doesn't have time to waste with me. As she shouts, the supervisor, a lady who doesn't know the words “smile to customers” gets on the side of the saleswoman before letting me explain anything, of course. As my English is bad, I explain that I specifically asked for a scanner. The saleswoman screams that I'm a liar, that I'm trying to blame her for my own faults. The lady who never smiles says: "We are not fools here, I understand my saleswoman if you thought she was an idiot." Then, I choose a scanner, since I am here for that only, and the "no smile women" says she's going to get it from the storeroom. She never came back. Maybe she wanted to teach me something ? Professionnalisme ? An hour later I was served by another lady who wasn't smiling either. It seems that the employees of this store are ordered never to smile. In fact, I think these people don't like the work they do. My worst experience. I am a old man, handicape, and I deserve more respect. By the way, I stay polite, speak softly. The so "charming" lady never learned that in life, when you make a mistake , you should not act like a 5 years old in a school yard accusing the other guy, but you have to stand on your feet's and admit that you were wrong.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service, they do not accept any international payment, including PayPal, I tried 2 different accounts, neither worked. After getting an order confirmation I never got any follow-up email. The only way I found out that my order was cancelled, was after asking their customer service, which took over 1 day to answer a simple question about my order.

Took a return to Staples to send back…

Took a return to Staples to send back and told package too large. Got an address to a fed ex ship center to return to - got there, it's closed. Went online and virtual assistant couldnt help - waited in an online cue for an agent for 23 minutes. AWFUL

Humiliating and belittling

On Sept 18 2024 - I was in Staples Store 253 - 130 Country Village Road NE in Calgary and brought in my HP Office 250 Mobile All In One printer for diagnostics - they could not repair the unit. I noticed they had the same unit available to purchase and inquired with the Store Manager - Graham if there would be any discount for a business, he stated no but if I want to switch to Bell there may be one. I responded no. I purchased the new unit at full price then asked if a sleeve of paper would come with the unit, the Store Manager - Graham was called. He came to the front of the store and was very loud with co-workers and clients in line - he yelled out loud that "the paper was in aisle 1 if I want to buy it and they do not do donations - they were for a profit store" It was very humiliating, belittling and I will avoid that store at all cost. The personnel who witnessed this outbreak were the technicians who had just looked at repairing my old printer, the cashier and clients in line. Very inappropriate behaviour on the part of the Store Manager.

Poor service, terrible quality workmanship

First of all it took way too long for the photos to arrive.

Of 64 photos I had printed, 7 are terrible quality. I had changed some photos I wanted printed due to notice that some would not be clear in the end, every one that submitted were supposedly good quality. So disappointed.
I will never give staples another penny. Between the total lack of service and the poor photos, I am done. Plenty of other options.
I just read a bunch of other reviews and I agree with all of the one star ones. Close staples or retrain your employees and managers. Bring them up to the standards that your clients expect and deserve.
