Clearly the reduced price and quality of item were factors in making the purchase. The helmet is the latest standard so not some clearance item. Purchased a jacket online after having visited the new Cardiff shop and trying on a few jackets. Jacket arrived well packaged and on time.
Shop staff were extremely helpful in getting items from the stock room to the shop floor. Walking away, allowed me to reflect and choose the jacket that fitted my needs best, out of a shortlist of two or three choices.

Usual fantastic service by SBS. The jeans, I ordered my usual size, probably could have got away with the next size down but I like to wear a belt anyway. I'm 6'1 and as they only do regular length thought they might come a bit short but the length is perfect and because of the accordion knees, dont rise up when sitting on the bike. They fit snug over my RST boots, not too tight. The knee and hip pads are quite firm but not uncomfortably so. I can imagine they won't be uncomfortable going in a cafe or pub mid ride. The knee pads have 3 different positions which is good too as straight out the bag, they were too low. Adjusted them and they're now perfect. They look extremely well made. Normal RST standard. All my gear is RST and never had a problem with any of it. I suppose the telling factor is how they handle sliding down the road. I hope I never have to find out but from how they feel, I'd be confident they would do their job. All in all I'd recommend them if you are undecided.
