Our trainer Linda (Leeds city centre) was absolutely great. She was very calm and had a great approach that helped us bond as a group and feel at ease working together through all the areas. She made... See more

Emergency First Aid At Work…
Attended Emergency First Aid At Work and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the course. The Trainer, Jo Pearson was very professional but fun and friendly and kept the whole class engaged. One of the best FA courses I have attended.
Great Course
Gina was approachable, caring, resourceful and knowledgeable about all aspects of first aid
A 3-day first aid course
A 3-day first aid course provides enough time to cover both essential and more advanced first aid skills without feeling too rushed.
Pros
Comprehensive coverage of topics such as CPR, choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, shock, seizures, and medical emergencies.
Plenty of hands-on practice with manikins and simulated scenarios.
Good balance of classroom learning and practical exercises.
Suitable for workplace requirements and those who want a solid understanding of first aid.
Cons
Some sections may feel repetitive if you've completed first aid training before.
Practical assessments can be challenging for people who are nervous about demonstrations.
Mike H was very informative,personable…
Mike H was very informative, personable and a great sense of humour he was a experienced trainer on the first aid training
I thoroughly enjoyed the course the speed, content and deliverance of the training was done at a timely speed but without feeling rushed to retain and practice for the assesment part
Thanks Mike keep up the wonderful work you do!!!
Outstanding course and an excellent…
Outstanding course and an excellent trainer. My colleague and I completed our 2 day Mental Health Course with St Johns recently. The information provided, the encouragement, how our trainer (Debbie?) made more difficult/challenging situations and scenarios easy to digest. The team work really, really helped instil confidence in our decisions and all our questions were answered perfectly with food for thought. I was not too keen on the use of small snippets of an AI individual/screen to talk through some small sections (very, very rarely used) but this is entirely personal, and not a reflection on the course or trainer as a whole in the slightest. We have already implemented a few bits within our organisation and looking forward to exploring more going forward. Absolutely recommend this without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you for your time and patience!
Great training course,
Great training course,
attended as a refresher due to previous certification being expired. The day was organised and run professionally with key learns being easy to understand and adopt. Kerrie the trainer was great at leading the practical and core based material. No question was a silly question and she was really engaging. Winchester site is a great location and has accessibility for all, including aircon on hotter days
Mental Health First Aider Course
I attended the Mental Health First Aider 2 day course on 6th and 7th July in Bath as a refresher as my previous certification had expired. Chris was our trainer and he was just phenomenally engaging. He has such a charisma that is inspiring and it is very clear that he is extremely passionate about the subject matter. The course itself is different to the previous one I attended 3 years prior, in as much as it is much more interactive with attendees and it's a really great opportunity to share experiences and ask questions. There is an option to complete an exam after the course whereas previously this was included in the course. However it does mean that you have the option to reflect on information and prepare better should you wish to take the exam rather than memorising information crammed into a few days. I much prefer the new, enhanced course as opposed to the previous version. Thank you Chris and St John Ambulance!
