The only 5* car hire company to use in…

The only 5* car hire company to use in my opinion. Staff are friendly and helpful. On my return to Belfast it was pouring with rain. Your guy told me to wait inside the office while he checked the car and took my luggage out of the boot. That’s what I call GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you - I will be back.

Worst customers service

Worst customers service, had a reservation on 5th July it is 6th July 16:12 still haven’t got no solution the customer service send you round and round in circles have no flipping clue what they are doing. Have even spoke to superior colleagues and haven’t done anything

False damage charges - Heathrow T5

I rented and returned a car in the exact condition I collected it and was still chased for a damage charge, with an admin fee bolted on top, for damage that was pre-existing, and that I have a video showing the damage was pre-existing.

They are charging me for pre-existing damage to the car. This is despite me having a video showing the pre-existing damage. This video was submitted to them, but they've just ignored it, and are continuing to push for payment.

Their Heathrow T5 branch is one of the ones that has gates that photograph cars as they leave and arrive. Conveniently, they aren't using any photos from these, presumably as it would show the pre-existing damage.

Con Artists

I rented a car from Newcastle airport with SIXT.
Picked up on 8th of June and dropped off on 11th of June.
I visually inspected car at pick up and drop off and there was no damage. At drop off there was no-one to check the car in and when I did find someone from SIXT in the terminal they informed me no-one was available to check car in and just drop off key and it wont be a problem.
The next day (12th) I received an email saying there is possible damage (2 small scratches) and that I would be contacted in a couple of days if further action will be needed.
I contacted SIXT at Newcastle (12th) airport saying I saw no issues and my willingness to return to airport to see "damage" as I live local but they insisted this was standard practice and if no response in 2 days from damage team it would "go away".
I was shocked 1 week later when I received an invoice estimate for scratch repair. I called again to Newcastle Airport SIXT and talked to Mohammed who told me he would contact the damage team and not to worry. The next day I received another invoice. I again called SIXT and talked to Mohammed again who was apologetic and said he will find out the problem and call me back in 2 minutes. That was 12 days ago!

Booked a car for collection at Jersey…

Booked a car for collection at Jersey airport. The collection process was quick, efficient and carried out in a friendly manner. As my wife unable to walk to car to the rental area, it was kindly collected and brought to the airports main entrance for us.
The basic model car was clean,new and totally suitable for purpose.
Drop off was easy and conveniently near departures.

Car was great, drop off not so!

Car was great and signage on arrival to pick up the car was good however we followed the link on the ‘return’ email and it took us to the wrong carpark and we then had to navigate our way around the airport to the correct drop off. Pick up staff were lovely but drop off staff not so!
In essence pick up and car great experience but drop off a poor experience

Sixt Skoda Kodiaq rental from Richmond

I hired a Skoda Kodiaq for a trip for 4 adults to Ireland. I picked up the car from Richmond. Car was brand new with a massive boot for 4 suitcases. Collecting the car was very simple and trouble free as was the return. Compared to other companies Sixt pricing is super competitive, particularly considering the stock of new cars.
The car itself was very easy to drive and loads of room for four adults. I would highly recommend Sixt and in particular the Richmond branch.

I rented out a car from the Marseilles…

I rented out a car from the Marseilles airport branch and I had a very disappointing experience. I just got off my flight at 11:30pm and walked to the branch just to be upsold for 45 minutes and I had paid for a SUV car as i had a 3 month old baby with me and we had to install her car seat and we had 3 very tall passengers. The employee at Sixt had told me that particular SUV wasn’t available and started upselling me with Mercedes and Mini coopers. He had then offered me a Citroen C3 which i reluctantly agreed to as I was tired and just wanted to get home then processed all the paperwork and handed me the keys to a Lancia and said he was ‘upgrading’ me on the house then he had told me the parking space number and ran off. If you look at what the Lancia YPSILON EFAR looks like you will know it is nothing like a SUV. It was very small and cramped and we spent the rest of the holiday driving around in a squashed car in the heat with everyone very uncomfortable. I spoke to Sixt about it over the phone when I got back and they had told me that employee had actually downgraded me and the difference between the Lancia and what I had paid for was actually 120 euros so I was entitled to a refund. The only reason I am rating them 2 stars is because I had spoken to a agent on the phone called Anis who was absolutely amazing and very helpful, he is an absolute credit to the company.

The best car rental company I have ever…

The best car rental company I have ever used bar none, from the booking process through the app to the collection and return of the vehicle was made all very simple by the friendly, knowledgeable staff, all costs were upfront and good value for money. Highly recommended.

Brilliant experience with car hire from…

Brilliant experience with car hire from Bristol airport. Easy pick-up, got a free upgrade to a luxury SUV. Drop off out of hours was even easier. Good support over WhatsApp and on the phone. Definitely my new favoured hire company.

Have used sixt twice in the last two years at Zadar and Santander
Cars were in excellent condition, staff informative and helpful.
App showed the minor superficial marks already on the latest car which was reassuring.

Great service and Car

Pick up and return from Dubrovnik Airport- the desk was easy to find, not too much a wait, helpful and friendly staff. We had a really great car - way better than what we’d booked. Only slight downside was unexpected cost for taking the car on the ferry. We were expecting additional driver and cross border costs though.
Return process was very fast and easy. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely use SIXT again

I collected a vehicle at Glasgow…

I collected a vehicle at Glasgow airport where the vehicle had a tear in it. I photographed it and uploaded to their site before driving off. Upon return, a member of staff saw the damage and checked the report and was satisfied that I had reported it. Now Sixt are retrospectively trying to bill me for a tyre and a £50 admin fee. Be careful if using this company, they will try to bill you for something which is their fault.
