Spoke to Customer Service as advised by SP over £30 good-will credit. I'm sure the advisor was doing their best BUT the process they had to go through was onerous and long winded. Over 1 hour on chat... See more

The operative was professional, polite, helpful and friendly. She was patient and had a good sense of humour.
Good customer service ,the engineer was friendly ,helpful and efficient.
Explained what I needed to do very well and was very helpful
Service is excellent as I’m always given ample time when tariff is ending so I can deliberate over my options.
Great advisor helping me to set up the smart meter. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of Scottish Power as a whole. I have always found this company to be extremely frustrating and trying to get any sense or clarity from it is like wading through treacle. I could never recommend it.
Very polite and helpful explaining what to do regarding my problem
Easy to use web site and easy to speak to on the phone. Very helpful
The person I spoke to was very helpful and polite .
Used the site via app to renew fixed price contract for myself and my husbands accounts ( with his full knowledge I might add)
It was easy and straightforward to do
My only gripe is lack of phone number - we are both of an age where we prefer to speak to someone rather than 100% online
The call handler dealt with my queries very professionally and was very patient
Everything I needed help with was professionally done and the person was kind and I was glad having that type of experience.
Avoid ScottishPower if you care about your credit file. My account (ref: 16150443159) has been a nightmare for months. ScottishPower's own internal error caused my payments to be misallocated to a completely different account, which created a fake "balance" that was never actually owed. I raised it, they didn't fix it properly, so I escalated to the Energy Ombudsman — that ended in a deadlock decision (ref 8396535483) because ScottishPower still hadn't sorted it.
Since then I've been on a formal instalment plan and haven't missed a single payment. Yet despite ScottishPower admitting in writing (emails dated 15 July 2026 and 21 April 2026) that the whole issue was their fault, adverse markers are still showing on my credit file for this account.
Let that sink in: they've confirmed the error was theirs, confirmed I'm fully up to date on the agreed plan, and my credit file is still being damaged for something I didn't do. This is actively affecting my ability to get credit, and it's entirely down to ScottishPower's own internal mess and their failure to correct it once they knew. I've now sent a formal complaint demanding removal of the incorrect data, and I'll be escalating to the Energy Ombudsman again and reporting this to the Information Commissioner's Office if it isn't fixed. If you're a ScottishPower customer, check your credit file regularly — don't assume they'll report accurately, even when they know they're wrong.
It would be helpful if points were redeemed automatically with notification only. It's tiresome to have to seek out the best deals/time slots all the time. It would be so nice if you just called on the phone to agree changes.
