Garden clogs arrived on time and at a very good price.

RoverUK.co.uk was the only online site where I could find the mesh in my required size. Except the delivery took a bit long, everything else was fine.

Updated: 18/8/25. My experience of this company was very good, items for sale offered are great value for money, speedy delivery time, good communication and timely customer services.

However, I was initially disappointed with their returns policy, in that they do not offer free returns! I guess that comes from mainly shopping on Amazon, there's an expectation that every company will offer free returns!

Anyway I ordered a pair of garden gloves that when my husband tried on for size, were actually too small for him despite them being extra large! The product label was still attached and the gloves were never physically used, so they are definitely in a re-saleable condition, but Rover's returns policy say, that they will not refund postage!

I decided to not return them on this occasion because the shipping cost would not be worth paying out myself and I'd lose out financially. It is fair enough that Rover won't refund the postage because of course they would lose out too. I understand that this would have been different if the gloves had have been faulty.

As an aside, before writing this review I did email them and received a polite and brief reply, saying how to return, but they didn't mention the returns policy, so before I returned the gloves and I lost out financially I read it and decided to just keep the gloves to gift on to someone else!

Just a suggestion Rover, when a customer asks about returning a non faulty item, it might be a good idea to cut and paste your policy on to your reply email. People tend to need prompting because they may not go looking for the information as I did.

I always try to buy from smaller companies and locally before reverting to Amazon. I bought from Rover because I was confident the gloves would fit my husband's hands, but with hindsight I should have probably gone to Amazon because it's simpler to return to them and as a customer I don't lose out on paying for return postage.

here's some good-advice, buy your antiquarian-books from RoverUK .. they have lots of interesting-choices, at hard to beat [realistic] prices .. they may well have just what you want ..

Bought a Grozone fleece from RoverUK, I had a problem with the quality of this item which did not show until it had been exposed to hot sunshine when it's roof disintegrated. The trader was initially expecting that I deal with the manufacturer, due to my owning the fleece for 10 months, but after some conversations and explaining the contractual requirements of sellers, he was gracious and helpful - dealing with the manufacturer on my behalf and arranging a replacement. What I have learned from this experience is that in very sunny sites, it is better to cover the rooftop of these fleeces with a piece of dark material to protect them from direct sunlight and thus prolong the useful life. Something I shall feed back to the manufacturer so that customers can be advised on this.
