The extremely efficient and professionally friendly lady who dealt with my call made all the arrangements with ease and dealt with queries and questions superbly well. Unfortunately, I didn't make a note of her name but she is a credit to Riviera Travel and examples what a truly great company it is.

Danube River Cruise
We were booked to go on the Danube cruise in August which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to low water levels. Riviera handled it very professionally, very quickly and offered 3 options which we gratefully accepted one of them.
We had to speak to Head Office and, as usual the professionalism of the staff was First Class!
Once again thank you to everyone who handled the issue!

Disappointing feedback process
When contacting Riviera with concerns about a holiday we discovered their process for dealing with concerns. They responded to our unfortunate experiences by saying that as reviews for the holiday did not show the same points our concerns were not accepted. Contacted the new CEO to ask if he was aware of this criteria for tackling feedback. Some months later he has not replied. Would recommend all travellers add their reviews to give Riviera an accurate picture as they are only using a small sample.

Don't be afraid to phone Riviera, the online portal it great but sometimes it's good to talk.
I really like the online portal for Riviera once I have booked my trip. However when I am spending so much money, we have just booked our third worldwide escorted tours this year, I really like to speak with a human being. Laurie is very responsive, knowledgeable and professional and one of the reasons we keep returning to Riviera Travel

Just returned from a Rhone river…
Just returned from a Rhone river cruise.
Crew and all staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. Food was superb and service was excellent! Different wines at each sitting added an extra dimension to the meals. Excursions were really good, the guides were super knowledgeable and friendly. This was our second Riviera river cruise and will definitely book again.

Customer Relations Actually Harm Riviera's Standing.
We booked a cruise and all was fine until we tried to check in with the airline to get disabled friendly seats; we were not allowed to do so because Riviera had us as part of a group booking (we were not part of a group just 2 lone travellers). We were told to get in touch with Riviera to remedy the problem.
It took 5 days to actually get thro' to Customer Relations. The person we spoke to was rude, aggressive and unhelpful (said he couldn't give flight booking details because it would breach Data Protection - thats pure nonsense - an excuse to do nothing).
On the cruise lots of other people encountered the same problem and the same rude, unhelpful response.
The cruise was fine but so are the cruises offered by Riviera's competitors; the difference is they have Customer Services that actually provide a service.
In short Riviera aren't really interested once they have your money. Better to book elsewhere for higher standards.

What a wonderful holiday to the Baltics…
What a wonderful holiday to the Baltics with Ana our guide. From start to finish she was organised, diligent, full of knowledge and ensured our holiday ran seamlessly. The guides who met us in Helsinki, Tallin and Riga were all excellent, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable.
Hotels were all of a good standard with comfortable beds and amenities. All the meals included in the tour were of a good standard too. The signature events were all superb, concert and food visits were very enjoyable and added to the whole experience. We would highly recommend this holiday to anyone who would like to explore this area of the Baltics.
