I placed an order two weeks ago. Money taken and nothing emailed or delivered

I placed an order two weeks ago. After not receiving it I touched base with the WhatsApp number online to be told even though they took payment my order did not go through.
Please see correspondence below.

Your order was not fully processed. So it didn't go from our payment system to ordering system.
It won't be created” so l issued a refund for you and within 14 days money will be back on original payment method. You can purchase it one more time.

Very disappointed as this was a birthday gift. No correspondence to aware me of this until I reached out.

Products are great but on line service is low level

Products are great , really a pleasure to give or to receive
we enjoy "oudh" eau de parfum and shower foam (5/5 star) best to buy in their shops as ............their service online is bad, they treat their clients as being stupid (1/5 star) Only BOT replies , better have answer from a BOT at least you know what to expect.

Great Products, But the Online Experience Needs Work

This review if for IRELAND

Rituals’ body products are genuinely fantastic — they deliver exactly what the marketing promises.

Orders are processed quickly through their Dublin store, and the ongoing free gifts are a nice touch (though you do feel it in the higher prices).

Their outlet store also offers some excellent bargains.

On the downside, the website and mobile app don’t match in what they offer, which is frustrating. The website is also packed with trackers, making online ordering less pleasant than it should be.

Overall, brilliant products, smooth delivery, but the digital experience needs attention.

I Visited the Gretna store today and it was fantastic

I Visited the Gretna store today and can honestly say what a great experience it was.
The sales assistant was absolutely amazing and knew exactly what I was looking for.
I didn't catch her name but she was a smaller older lady with dark/grey bobbed hair.
She really is a credit to the company

Product good but Customer Service terrible

Product good but Customer Service dreadful. Product didnt work, eventually after trouble shooting every other option we realised the USB was faulty. Waited 5 weeks for a new one only to be sent a european plug instead (just why??)

When I tried to complain, I received a personal response (in working hours) asking for photos, I then immediately received an automated response requesting I try later. I have given up & bought my own lead. It's just the principle, if something doesn't work, it needs to be replaced asap. (without putting the consumer out)

Deceptive delivery practices and expensive

Very disappointed. I always thought shopping at Rituals must be a luxurious experience. My first time, I ordered for over 500 dkk. A medium giftset for a friend and something extra for myself. I ordered home delivery. They sent it to some random inconvenient location in Lellinge outside of Køge for a selv pick up. I suspect they do this on purpose since I read similar review like mine. Not just a one time mistake. Not a great first impression for sure. I lost interest in my order and want my money back. This is my first and the last shopping with them.

I’m very surprised how helpful you…

I’m very surprised how helpful you were. I had an issue with an order that was missing something, I had a car air freshener for a gift that was missing the clip. Within less than an hour the problem was resolved and a gift card was sent to my email to purchase a new car freshener. So helpful and very kind!

Oh no TERRIBLE

Oh no! Love afair over. Spent a lot of money on there products of late, Yodel failed delivery - said was broken. What a shambles of a company to use Yodel in the first place. Seen the reviews here and now don’t want to ever buy from them again. Well done on burning one of your best Customers. Customer service impossible to contact. Credit card charge back initiated, easier than trying to get hold of these clowns!!

Used to love Rituals

Used to love Rituals. But now their prices are extortionate, but not matched by quality. Far too expensive. They discontinued the ever-popular Mehr shower gels in shops; only available yo buy online. Why! 🤦‍♂️. Their anniversary box, even on sale at 47 euro, is not value for money at all. Their diffusers aren't good at all. I go for Max Benjamin (Irish brand). Half the price but amazing fragrance. Twice I ordered online and didn't get either. Got a refund. Not the luxury product that they'd have you believe. At all!

Worst service ever from “Celine”

Where to begin… Last 4 orders cancelled due to absurd reasons on their behalf, such as “you chose Pickup in store, however we dont have that item in stock in out store” (but they allowed placing the order and a few days of processing before the cancellation). Their system seems to be malfunctioning, I choose a delivery address (my home) but when I get the order confirmation, it says a DHL packetstation that does not exist, then DHL of course cannot deliver and my order gets cancelled (this happened THREE times). When you contact Customer Support, there is nothing they can do, ever, they only offer stupid things like “I will help you place your order again”. Tell you to Clean your cookies!! After days wasted waiting for orders that get cancelled and hours lost talking to them, you have to beg for some kind of compensation, something as sad as a discount code (other stores offer straight away as an apology, as it should be; they give it as if they are saving your life). In the middle of the conversation, “Celine” suddenly took 2h to answer back. She seems to have problems with understanding as well, no matter how many times you explain the problem. Then she asked for patience. After 3h, she dispatched me without providing a solution. Absolutely useless. WORST SERVICE EVER. TO AVOID.

Amazing customer service

When entering your store in trafford centre Manchester.
We was greeted by a lovely lady Helen, I must say she was very accomadating and extremley passionate about her work.
Helen helped my wife go through certain products we was intrested in potentially buying.
She was extremely knowledgable about the products and explaining about ingrediants too, as myself has sensative skin.
From start to finish I could not fault her customer service it made our day, It was also my wifes birthday too We really enjoyed our visit to the store and we both love the brand too.
Thankyou so much Helen for being an amazing person.
A total credit to the brand and store.

Disappointing response after a serious fraud incident

I’ve been a loyal Rituals customer and top-tier rewards member since 2017, so this is not a review I ever expected to write.

I recently received a highly convincing phishing email impersonating Rituals, timed around my birthday reward and containing personal details, including my real birthdate. I nearly completed checkout before realising something was wrong. Shortly after, my bank card was targeted with multiple unauthorised international payment attempts and I began receiving persistent scam calls.

I contacted Rituals to ask what account protection options were available, including whether my email could be changed or whether my loyalty status could be transferred to a new account if closure was required. I was told neither was possible and that no alternative protective measures could be offered.

I was not asking for compensation - only to be able to continue using my account safely without losing rewards I’ve built up over many years. Unfortunately, the response was entirely policy-driven with no flexibility for a genuine fraud situation.

For a brand built around wellbeing and customer care, this was deeply disappointing, and I’ve decided to close my account as a result.

You have now lost a customer for life!

Possibly the worst customer service I've experienced so far?

Absolutely shocking customer service, the WhatsApp service system is slow and deeply unprofessional. My initial email complaint was completely ignored and when followed up, the response was patronising and dismissed the run down of problems I had experienced. I made my original order in early Jan and as of today I still have no product, in their defense they did refund and offer a discount but that disappeared for some reason and I'm yet to recover that discount. Sadly my original spend was on a gift card so I'm locked into spending that money now but I guarantee that I will never spend money with Rituals again. It is beyond my understanding how such a simple process can be made so unpleasant.

Edit: As of today the order has been made with some discount, let's see how this one pans out.

Tracey amazing Customer Service


I visited the Rituals store in Chester today and was served by Tracey — what an amazing experience.

She offered me a gorgeous tea and was incredibly helpful when I was looking for refills for my diffuser. She also explained the spend £45 offer (I ended up spending more 😄) and I treated myself to a beautiful new hand wash.

The service was friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. Tracey is a real asset to the business. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience.

Body cream refills that don't fit new containers

I recently bought (December )3 refill body creams and they do not fit the new glass containers that had been introduced in September 2025, so the refills I purchased were not fit for purpose , this is totally unacceptable. I complained asking for a refund or provision of 3 new containers. I was advised to return the refills and they offered 10 percent discount off my next purchase, I feel that the old refills should not have been in circulation in December if they introduced new packaging in September, and I am unhappy I have been inconvenienced

First class service

Visited the Rituals store at the Overgate in Dundee, and was greeted by the lovely Emma. This is the third visit by my husband (to buy my Christmas present, served by Sky, who guided him to something I loved) and the second visit by myself to buy body cream and a refill also my husband bought his favourite soap. Emma was so polite and friendly, she remembered me and thanked me for my last review. I love going to this store, Emma really made me feel special. A lovely store with wonderful Emma and Sky at the helm. Makes such a difference to your shopping experience. Thankyou 🤗

Amazing staff at castlepoint store

Amazing staff at castlepoint store, Suzanne in particular was so helpful,friendly, and knowledgeable. She really took the time to make great recommendations and made whole experience a pleasure. I only wish the online shopping experience was as good as the in store service

I was in rituals silverburn testing out…

I was in rituals silverburn testing out the variety of scents and products and a lovely worker Ryan came and asked if I wanted any help we asked him what his personal favourite was and he no doubt told us and asked if we wanted to see how to properly do a hand massage with the rituals products so we said yes and Ryan was incredibly helpful walking through the steps slowly and simply answering any questions along the way
