Richmond Cookshop Reviews 

Ordered an SKK frying pan on 16th of December. Phoned them last week as it hadn’t arrived, and as I couldn’t get through the lady from Richmond Cookshop phoned me straight back and said that she would send another pan straight away. She was very helpful. This is not a large company and I agree with other reviewers that we should cut this company some slack.

Please make sure you don't buy from these guys. Total scammers. Haven't heard from them, emailed, telephoned...nothing, nada.

Ordered a pan that is quite hard to get in the U.K. the price was really good and got a free gift which is always nice. Service was great when contact was made. People need to take into account this isn’t a large online shop so timings will be different to Amazon etc but if you have some patience and want good quality I couldn’t fault it.

Item was delayed so had to follow up via email. The woman was very kind and explained that they were waiting first on a delivery from a warehouse. Think this is just an older ‘mom and pop’ shop and they don’t have the capability or capacity to meet the demands of bigger retailers - let’s cut them a bit of slack!

Should be called a crookshop no contact until I contacted PayPal then was lied to absolutely rubbish I would advise anyone to stay away from this so called company at least PayPal did a great job refunding my money.

Still no reply from them, no reply to e-mails, no answer to phone calls. There is a word for people who take money from you under false pretences. Next stop court action.

Ordered 2 Alessi biscuit boxes the first week in November, I phoned a week later as I hadn’t had an update and no one answered but then a lovley lady called me back an hour later, explained that they wer in process of waiting for a delivery and i received them 2 days later. Many thanks.

Ordered an SSK frying pan for £77.50 on 5th November. Service was very quick, in that they took my money. I have heard nothing from them since. No replies to my varied methods to contact them. Their phone number appears disconnected. No activity/posts from them on their fb site after Jan 2020. Wish I hd checked trust pilot before I purchased. Now going through th Paypal resolution service. I do not think that Richmond Bookshop are trading anymore... avoid for now I'd say.

I am not certain this is a genuine company. I ordered but didn't receive any further communication. Product still not received.

Purchase item on 24th October that was needed by 8th Nov thinking this was plenty of time chased by email and phone on 31st Oct promised a call back as of 4th Nov, zero communication , no product , no dispatch info , no tracking info

I bought a set of knives but decided to return them,

I sent an email requesting their return policy details but I have never received any response from them since.

I bought a chef's knife from Richmond Cookshop. I was a little sceptical from the beginning because it was cheaper than anywhere else online. I placed the order, and then found all the negative reviews. I called Richmond Cookshop but the number is out of order. I emailed them but I've had no response. Luckily I paid via PayPal and they intervened and have refunded my money.

Bought Alessi kettle, good price, as described.
Had to wait 2 weeks, was a bit worried, but at the end all good.

Purchased an Alessi tray. Had some initial problems but the owner did sort it out exactly a she said she would. Great priced item and very pleased with purchase

Ordered three weeks ago. They took the payment. No communication since. No reply to emails and phone message says, "We're not available, goodbye".

AVOID!

Excellent Service and follow up. Totally trustworthy family business that went through a tricky period that can impact any small business owner. ( I called them as I had great service in the past and was shocked to see such bad reviews recently).

I ordered a carving set and payment was taken, but I had no communication. I did become concerned when I read the Trust Pilot reviews, also when I found that there was no option of leaving a message when I telephoned. When they did respond, my order was dealt with by a very pleasant lady, who informed me my items were out of stock. I was regularly up-dated and my items duly arrived. Just surprised that payment was taken immediately, when the company knew that they did not have the item in stock. In total, I waited about 24 days to receive the item.

Really don't use, don't trust the positive reviews. We went to our bank who helped us recover our money via Mastercard. This works even if you use a debit card, so do battle through. They send the wrong pan, could not use as was not induction. did not reply to emails or calls, tried very hard. First call got through and got a sob story about mother, after that no contact.

Have used before so ordered some more alessi jars. Good price 2 came very quickly but 3rd took some time. Nice lady phoned to explain she had a relative unwell and apologised. Not a problem , they've been very good in the past and I'll use them again. Hope they get over this rough period.
