Awful, simply awful!

Awful, simply awful. Terrible customer service, wait weeks or if you’re lucky days for any sort of response. It is not UK based, despite being called House UK! Also it is not free returns as advertised, it costs $13 to return an item to their office in Australia! Avoid.

Scammers

Scammers.
Extremely poor service . ordered an item, payed via PayPal (thank god) . nothing arrived . contacted House UK .. finally got an email about a week later.. they said they had sent item. contacted courier only to be told that House UK had designated a courier number but the item had not been received from house uk for the courier to send .. got another email after about a week (after repeated emails from myself) to which they said they would see if it had been returned ... (obviously would not as it had never left warehouse).. do not buy from this firm, plus they are run from Australia ... not a good experience , it was just lucky that i paid by PayPal and they refunded the money .. you have been warned.. just read the other reviews on trust pilot. i should have done that in the first place :(

Good customer service and quick delivery

I ordered as a gift before I checked the reviews so I was concerned when the confirmation email did not arrive, however after contacting the company by email I received a quick response, order number and tracking number. The goods were delivered on time and my friend was really happy with the knives

I Ordered a copper coloured knife block set. I didn’t get an email confirmation so I messaged the company (fb messenger). I was worried about my purchase after reading recent reviews. I received a message back confirming my order & I received the knife block a couple of days later. Great service & great communication. Fast delivery too!

The worst customer service ever

Goods still not delivered after nearly a month! Asked them to cancel the order and they said TNT have told them it was delivered so they need to investigate... Now that's the only response I get!

Contacted my credit card company to take over and deal with them!

I would avoid this company at all costs

AVOID - Shockingly bad customer service

Shockingly bad customer service, after placing my order I never received order confirmation or receipt.

After a series of confusing emails where they confused my identity and gave away another persons email address to me (an illegal breach of GDPR regulation), customer service are now saying they have no record of my order and are asking me for the details of it.

Dont trust this disorganised and chaotic business with your hard-earned money

Ordered an item 10 days ago. a set of knives for £119.99. still not received any confirmation or even a delivery date. Avoid buying from this company. Its a joke. Just lost all my money. Cant get in touch with them via their website or by email.

Dumb abd dishonest…

Ordered and received two items in good condition on the right date. Wished to return one item and followed the procedure on the delivery note. The telephone number is not connected and the emails are not replied to one month later called the store in Bracknell where the Brit manager said it would have to be dealt with by head office in Australia. Since when Katrin has done her best to delay and query and deliver nothing. They cannot exchange a larger for smaller item and insist on refund and re-order but never pay the refund £26. They try the "you are too late" to return game when anyone can see the timeline on the emails. Dumb and dishonest.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Do not use these guys. Packaging is terrible and item received lots of damage during transit.
Do yourself a favour and find a decent company, it's certainly not these!!!

Would give it a worse rating if possible

Would give it a worse rating if it was even possible. Made an order on 4th December 2020 and have still not received anything now (Feb 2021). Apparently, they could not locate my order and now the items are out of stock so they could not send out the items. Understandable - fine. Have been a promised a refund since late December 2020/early January 2021 with nothing received. Today, I've been told they can't even locate the payment!!!
I've already sent proof that the money was paid.
Disgusting service - they have literally had my money since 4th December!!

Hi everyone

Hi everyone, thought I would write a review as I also was hesitant after I ordered a mug from here. I checked the reviews after ordering and was worried when I hadn't received a confirmation email. So I emailed houseuk and a guy named Paul got back to me within a few hours. However, my confirmation also came through around a day after purchase.

I received my item, in a box, inside another box with protection to keep the item sturdy two days after I placed my order.

I can't speak for other people and I'm sure they've had some bad experiences, but wanted to share mine, as I was also worried reading these but I had a good experience!

Would recommend based on online & in-store experiences

Was really pleased with a pan & knife that I bought from one of their shopping mall stores a year ago so I decided to give their online store a chance despite the terrible reviews. (The IRONROC pan range is particularly impressive)

Every thing went smoothly - order confirmation email received immediately after purchase and my frying pans were delivered in 2 days in perfect condition.

From my experience online and in-store I can only reccomend their products & service

Have not had to claim any returns or refunds, however.

Placed an order, one of the items arrived damaged. Sent pic and email to customer services, straight away. No response, nearly 5 days later. Sent another email. No response. Very bad customer service. Don't bother ordering from them.

Lasagne dish delivered broken

Lasagne dish delivered broken, returned by courier for replacement. No response from House uk despite many emails. I paid £23 for this lousy service and I'm really frustrated at not being able to speak to someone directly. Never again, stay well clear.

Happy with order

I ordered, didn’t receive a confirmation, then got worried and looked at reviews and was worried. I contacted the company they got back within the day reassuring me, said once dispatched confirmation would come though. And it did, fast delivery happy with item would order again for sure!

AVOID!!!

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER !

Please all note this company will not respond to emails . I was lucky and had two orders delivered of top class goods . Third time unlucky with smashed plates . If you have delivery problems you need to claim through PayPal or your credit card or debit card company . Do it NOW , don’t wait for a response , it won’t come .
