My computer went down in a power outage. I had to reset my computer. I had a horrible time reinstalling Quicken and finding backups. I never could find an up to date one and have lost about 5 months of data. Where exactly are backups stored??? Why couldn't I find my data?

Follow your demographic ...
Follow your demographic ... I am thinking many of your long-term customers are growing more concerned about retirement planning and taxation as they used to be about current spending and investment.
Have you talked to the Boldin folks? Seems like a potential joint opportunity.
No longer able to download from my bank
I only used quicken as a way to track my expenses and act as a checkbook and easily reconcile my account. With recent changes downloading transactions from my bank became too difficult and then non-existent so I was doing my reconciliation and input manually. This defeated one of my reason for using the product.

I ended up subscribing two 2 different programs during initial set up. Quicken deluxe and quicken simplifi.
I have been using quicken for over 20…
I have been using quicken for over 20 years and my file is very large. I connect to all of my outside brokerage houses. The program has gotten enormously slow. Can easily take a minute plus to clear a transaction? Anything that can be done to speed things up?
Quicken does not recognize our actual Money
The American Federation Dollar is the ONLY money issued by The United States of America (i.e our actual sovereign, not incorporated nation), yet it is not provided as one of the many currencies that can be used in Quicken. That is very unpatriotic.
I like the improvements in adding…
I like the improvements in adding transactions via downloads, and that I can have a default category for each transaction.
I've been using Quicken for many years
I've been using Quicken for many years. I always know exactly where we stand with our finances. By recording credit card payments and recurring payments I know what is what to expect.
Quicken needs to run under Linux
Quicken needs to run under Linux. With more and more of the user base going that direction it makes sense to support Linux.
stop raising the prices
stop raising the prices. you can't raise prices on a product that isn't getting better. I will be cancelling.

Excellent software and can take multiple accounts unlike other platforms.
I generally found the product to be…
I generally found the product to be combersome and the interface to be ancient. That's fine, it's not for me. The real problem is that it takes 2 seconds to sign up and it's imposible to cancel. Second year in a row ive been billed after cancelling and the mechanism is ambiguous at best. I'm fruatrated.
Using Quicken for More Than 25 Years
I have been using Quicken for more than 25 years. It’s nice to be able to have history of spending and one place to view all financial data.
Easy to use and keeps me organized
I began using Quick over 20 years ago
I began using Quick over 20 years ago. It is a game changer and saves valuable time. It is user friendly and it I need help the customer support is outstanding.
This product has deteriorated in…
This product has deteriorated in functionality over the years. I have put every transaction in my life into this thing since 1995, and now it can't do what it used to. It doesn't auto-rename funky downloaded names, it doesn't recognize names and auto-categorize them, and its investments functionality never worked well. I download market prices repeatedly, and only get estimates. On top of that the price went from $60 for the software, forever, to $110 annual subscription. I'm looking for alternatives, sadly.
Wish I hadn't purchased.
This is not an easy program to use at all, and I've used many. It's difficult to navigate, "tags" no longer show up automatically when entering items, and many times bank balances are wrong or they don't calculate. It is not worth what I paid for it and I'm very disappointed.
VERY long-time Quicken user
VERY long-time Quicken user - from early DOS days. Consistent improvements over the years. Most significantly, I no longer have to split my history each year due to file size.
Been dealing with a dowload investment…
Been dealing with a dowload investment issue with Schwab for nearly 2 years now. You refuse to fix it! When a stock is downloaded the cover short in the action column is listed as a "bought". These are two different actions that need to be separated. You can't just accept the bought because it dosn't close out the short sell and does not allocate the lots. I use this every day and it is very cumbersome because you will not fix this issue. It worked fine with other brokers I have used in the past.
FYI The problem may be with Schwab. On my statement of transactions they list the cover shorts as a "buy". So they are not distinguishing the difference in the two transactions. I have contacted both Schwab and Quicken with details and solutions to the fix but I am completly ignored. I just payed my renewal and it hurts to pay for something that is not working properly.
