Quartz Worktops Direct Reviews 

I see Good Housekeeping are allowing this dreadful company to advertise again. They are AWFUL. Mine was 'done' in January 2023. Terrible workmanship from sub contractors and they never finished the work that I had paid over £7,000 for. The company frequently change their name. Avoid or use at your peril.

Be very careful if using this company, they do not tell the whole story when quoting you. I thought i was buying quartz but it was laminate. They say you do not have to empty cupboards or drawers but unless you order quartz this is not true and I had a terrible mess in my cupboards, I did check with the salesman if I needed to empty the cupboards and he said no only under the sink. I am 79 years old and disabled and definitely would have paid for quartz if it had been explained to me. You have to pay for the whole order before they will start on the work and you are left to pay for the fitter who is not employed by the company so you have no redress. Also told not to use hot things on the joins of the laminate as they will curl up, it’s a kitchen where mostly hot things. The fitter told me that the office would phone me first thing on Monday morning, as I was unhappy with the order, I waited till 11.00 and then rang and was told they had more important things to do before they got to me. (That certainly put me in my place) the fitter also said if we were not going to pay him he was told by the company to walk off the job. He also said we had a 10 year guarantee but nowhere does it say that, so do I really have one.

I didn't want to have to write this review but my experience with this company has been absolutely dismal. I used Quartz Worktops Direct back in 2016 for a quartz bathroom worktop and they were great then. They were fast, responsive, reasonably priced, provided a delivery service, and even provided different edging profiles. However, they have since been taken over by the current management and my experience with Quartz Worktops Direct this time has been one of endless frustration.

Firstly they come across as very unprofessional. The older man, Izzy I think his name is doesn't seem to know what's going on and kept telling me his son Johnny deals with everything and so gave me his number to call instead. He told me to email over my requirements which I did, but with no one ever replying to me. I forwarded the quote I got from their website to them and still no reply. When I called once, the older man told me Johnny would call me back later because he was taking his children to swimming classes! So if Johnny is out, no one else can cover.

There is no way to order anything from their site like there used to, you have to call them, but I have left multiple voice messages and WhatsApp messages and still no one wants to get back to me. When I called yesterday, the person answered then immediately put the phone down on me without saying anything, didn’t bother to call me back and didn’t answer my phone when I called back immediately after. And hasn’t replied to my WhatsApp messages (which I know get through to him as he replied on WhatsApp before when I ordered samples). It’s all very strange and very rude and unprofessional to treat past / prospective clients like this. Once when I did get through to Izzy he told me that I would have to collect the worktop myself as they no longer supply (unless I guess you pay for their templating and installation service no doubt). I don’t need their templating and installation service, just a simple worktop supplied which their website tells me is available to buy, as it gave me a quote for my requirements!

Even they messed up my sample order as I ordered 3 samples (which you have to pay for) and they sent me 2 duplicated samples, so I paid for a 3rd sample which never arrived (they said it’s been discontinued even though it is still being advertised on their website) and they didn’t even offer to reimburse me. I don’t know what is going on with these people but they can’t seem to operate properly and they leave customers hanging on not knowing what is going on. I have wasted over 2 weeks on these people because they initially said they can do it, then nothing, just silence from them. Now I have to look elsewhere and my whole bathroom project has been delayed because of them. If they are unable to help you on your project, they should just say so rather than say they can and then not return any of your messages and calls. I can’t believe people run their businesses like this.

We were worried once tops were installed 2 draws would not shut. Having had the worst customer service from John Lewis of all companies over collapsing wardroves, we were very concerned problems might be very slowly put right having paid upfront.
Just the opposite Kat was totally amazing phoning, emailing and letting me know what was happening.
Matt arrived late one evening after a long day. He quickly found the fault was the 2 draws needed dropping further down due to the glue.
Matt has an amazing work ethic. On installion day, he just never stopped, not even for a drink. He covered the floor and cleaned every where when he had finished.
Matt has done a fantastic job both on installation and coming back a few days later to adjust the draws.
I would highly recommend having Matt to install work tops. They look fantastic and very pleased with them

Great when fitted but 2 years down the line problems. Little chip which the fitting company could not fix and mark which they could not remove. No help from the company website, just says get back to fitting company who were unable to fix.

Nothing more than brilliant from start to finish, very professional throughout.
Oh, forgot the kitchen looks awesome

Quartzize What a Fantastic company to deal with. All the information and advice we received was of the highest order . All dates were correct, everyone we dealt with were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and the two chaps who fitted the work tops Paul and Chris were the dream team in skill and expertise. Excellent service, quality and price. The team gave us great advice on the templating visit, including such small aesthetic details to make sure it would not just fit well but also look fantastic. We only had to wait about a week to 10 days for installation which I was really impressed with. The work completed is outstanding and looks fab. We even chose to get our utility done too, as it was such great value.

Bloody brilliant. The quality of our worktop is amazing. The kids love it and I’ll be recommending it to my family. 10/10. Best spending ever!!

I am very happy with my new quartz worktops. The company offers a transparent quote system which is great because if you know exactly what you need you know exactly how much it will cost you. I did a lot of research and decided to go with them and believe it was the right decision. Marietta explained the leading times and the process so that when I was ready to order I was able to book the template appointment. Ten days after the template was done, I had the worktops installed. Both Micky and his friend were very professional when fitting the stone and arrived on time even tough they travelled around 200 miles! There was a small issue and they rectified it quickly and without hassle, so I am also very happy with the after sales service. I would definitely recommend them.

Johnny and the team fitted a quartz worktop as part of a kitchen refurb in Wendover. The service was excellent from start to finish - very quick response, clear pricing, and quick and efficient installation from the team. The resulting worktop looks superb. I would thoroughly recommend them, and will definitely use them again

After a couple of techy hitches getting our plans across originally by email everything has gone really well. Johnny was very generous with lending us samples which made all the difference. We love the worktops- they look really impressive and are beautifully fitted.

I'd love to comment on the quality of materials and workmanship but due to appalling communication and a total lack of systems and CRM we never got that far. Had to chase for a quote from the start- should've paid heed as a warning sign. After speaking to them on the phone about the process and e-mailing a date I was told this was fine "just ring a week before you ready". So I booked the rest of our kitchen re-fit around the date agreed. When I rang a little over a week before I was told the date was impossible, I was unrealistic, that they had no control over their booking system or timelines and it was all my fault. I was offered no apology or attempts to help us get a next available date in and, unprompted, they badmouthed other companies: “if there is anyone could do that that shows no work in there business.”

Edit: since posting this I have revived two emails from LunaStone/quartzworktopsdirect telling me to take it down; the first the second says “if this doesn’t get handled the correct way we have the right to take further actions on this matter”. I don’t know what this means but believe it is not intended to be conciliatory.

So easy to deal with, excellent communication & a fantastic product. Arrived on time and hoovered up when finished. Could not recommend Quartz worktops direct highly enough! Well done Johnny and all your team.
