I booked a round-trip ticket through…
I booked a round-trip ticket through Priceline. On my return flight, when I attempted to check in online, the flight was not confirmed. I contacted Priceline immediately, and they demanded an additional $278 to secure the ticket. After negotiation, I was still forced to pay $178.40 —otherwise they claimed I would risk **losing my flight at the last minute**.
This is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. It feels like Priceline and/or the airline created a situation where I was placed under last-minute pressure to pay more money, even though I had already purchased the ticket.
If there was a legitimate reason that the booking changed after I paid, then Priceline should have notified me in advance —not exactly at the point of check- I should not have been left with non clear explanation until the final moment, when I had no real ability to resolve the issue or avoid the extra cost.

Extremely Dissatisfied
I am submitting this review to formally document my extreme dissatisfaction with Priceline’s handling of my recent issue. Due to a verified medical condition, I was unable to take my scheduled trip. Despite clearly communicating this multiple times, Priceline repeatedly dismissed my situation and insisted that my tickets were non‑refundable, offering no alternatives whatsoever—no partial refund, no travel credit, no discount, and no attempt to provide even the smallest level of accommodation.
Over the past week, I have contacted Priceline five separate times seeking a reasonable resolution. Every conversation resulted in the same scripted and unhelpful response, with no meaningful effort to actually review my case or escalate it. I requested a supervisor call‑back, which was never honored. This lack of follow‑through is completely unacceptable for a company of Priceline’s size and reputation.
To make matters worse, I purchased travel protection, which should have supported claims related to medical cancellations. Instead, Priceline canceled the protection without my authorization, leaving me unable to file a claim of any kind. As a result, I am now out over $1,200, and neither Priceline nor the vendor is willing to accept responsibility. Priceline directs me to the vendor, and the vendor directs me back to Priceline, creating a circular and entirely unproductive process.
The lack of empathy, transparency, and basic customer support especially during a medical emergency is deeply troubling. This situation demonstrates a clear disregard for customers and a failure to uphold even minimal standards of service.
I am requesting that the BBB review Priceline’s handling of cases like mine and hold the company accountable for its refusal to provide assistance, honor purchased protections, or engage in good‑faith customer service practices. Customers deserve honesty, support, and fair treatment, and I urge the BBB to take appropriate action to address these issues.
Pathetic
Pathetic. Customer service hung up on me, no refund for a night we didn't stay. Just awful service and too many other services to be treated this way.

First they booked me on Spirit that was cancelling flights and then they "lost" my return flight. Only my son's return flight was showing up and I couldn't get my boarding pass. They were no help at all and claimed it didn't exist even though I was giving them their own confirmation number. Fortunately Southwest airlines had my boarding pass because Priceline never found it
Priceline’s “Deals” Are a Trap
Priceline loves to advertise the illusion of great discounts, but here’s the truth they never say out loud: you get exactly the value of what you paid—meaning the hotel will stick you in the worst room they have. Every. Single. Time.
If a hotel normally charges $90 and Priceline knocks it down to $70, don’t expect a $90 room for $70. Expect the noisiest, dirtiest, most neglected room in the entire building—the one they wouldn’t dare give to a full‑paying guest. Priceline customers get the leftovers: the rooms next to the ice machine, the rooms above the dumpsters, the rooms with stained carpets, broken fixtures, and mystery smells. The hotels save their decent accommodations for people who book directly, and Priceline knows this perfectly well.
The whole “great deal” pitch is a bait‑and‑switch. You think you’re saving money, but what you’re really doing is paying to be treated like a second‑class guest. And when you try to resolve it? Good luck. Priceline hides behind policies, scripts, and automated systems designed to make sure nothing gets fixed and no one takes responsibility.
After multiple stays like this, I’m done. Priceline’s “discounts” come at the cost of comfort, cleanliness, and basic dignity. If you value a decent room, book directly with the hotel. Priceline has become nothing more than a pipeline to the worst rooms on the property.
DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!!
DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!!
If I could leave a review, it wouldn’t be a good one. After arriving in Chicago, I tried to switch to an earlier flight going to the same destination, but Priceline doesn’t allow any changes once part of your trip has begun. No matter what, you can’t modify your flight mid-itinerary. I wouldn’t recommend using Priceline for travel if you think your plans might change
Worst customer service interaction ever
I've used priceline for awhile now. So much so I am a platinum member. They were great up until there was an issue they had to deal with and then they completely dropped the ball. We had booked a motel for 7 nights. When we arrived the first day of our reservation, the hotel management decided to inform me by way of yelling from a second story window that they had given our room away offering zero accommodations. Immediately i was on the phone with prieline explaining what just happened. They told me no problem they would send an email and call the motel right then.. well seems like the hotel was trying to keep our money because they would not take there calls or answer any enails. This went on for 4 days everyday i was on the phone with priceline being told the same B S. That the motel had 24 to 48 hours to respond which is great and all but the email was sent the first night of this but everyday their count would start over. So for 5 nights they held the money seemed like tgey were unable to figure out a solution. After 5 days they said i was getting a full refund which i gave yet to see. And after investigating and realizing this was from no fault of my own. You think they would offer some accommodations or at least some coupons after going through thus. But nothing. Nothing at all. I aextremely disappointed in the way in which they handled this so it highly doubtfull i will ever book anything through priceline ever again
Extremely disappointed with priceline…
Extremely disappointed with priceline services. I booked a trip from ewr to Las Vegas and hotel deals for 700$ and paid a extra 83$ for a seat choice and a carry on bag. They claim i didn't so I lost out on that 83$ plus had to pay 50$ to add carry on bag smh and on top of that they didn't inform me of the incident charge for the hotel so that costed me and extra 150$ plus my resort fee of 170$ would never use them again.
Priceline offering packages with unethical Companies
When booking a package vacation through Priceline, the price was decent, however, getting informaion regarding your package details is very difficult leaving us with questions we could not get answers for because you are talking to a bot who only gives you options for questions and answers even though it does not apply to the information you need. The car rental option turned out to be a nighmare, Routes Car Rental. It is an unethical company who has 348 complaints with the BBB this year alone. We were blasted with hidden fees, and had no options. Either comply or possibly be stuck without a car on vacation. This started our vacation with unneccessary stress and ended in more stress when we went to return the car! NEVER, in all the experiences with car rentals have we ever come across this before. Priceline should not be offering unethical companies in their options. And clearly, Routes Car Rental is unethical! Don't take our word for it, look it up!
Priceline suck!!!!
Worst experience ever do not use Priceline. After booking a hotel and prepaying I drove 7 hours to this hotel only to be told they can’t complete my check in because Priceline’s virtual credit card they are supposed to pay the hotel with is being declined. After another 10-15 minutes trying to get a hold of Priceline thru their stupid virtual chat I finally found a phone number to call to have to wait to speak to someone and then been put on hold for 40 minutes more while they figure it out. My daughter is sleeping in the car and it’s raining outside and we had to wait for over 1 hour to check in. And then I had to carry her in, in the rain after I parked. We have to get up early in the morning, And when I complained to Priceline I just got passed on from person to person and they all said the same thing they can’t do anything to make this right. They gave me a 20% off coupon when I don’t ever want to use them again. This billion dollar business can’t even compensate me my room rate or a free room another time. Nothing to makeup for there mistake and fault. So upset, exhausted and disappointed.
We had an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience with Priceline.
We had an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience with Priceline.
After driving over 10+ hours, we arrived at a Quality Inn in New Mexico, only to be told that our reservation was not valid because Priceline never paid the hotel. As a result, the hotel refused to give us a room.
We travel frequently, and this is honestly the first time we have ever experienced something like this.
We immediately contacted Priceline, and instead of resolving the issue, they asked us to cancel and rebook. However, once we canceled (based on their instruction), we were unable to rebook anything. Hotels in the area were either fully booked or priced outrageously high (over $800 per night).
We were transferred between multiple departments and even spoke to a supervisor, but no one provided a solution, compensation, or accountability. To make matters worse, Priceline claimed that WE canceled the reservation, when in reality we were never properly notified of any issue beforehand.
This left us stranded late at night after a long drive, with no hotel, no assistance, and no responsibility taken by Priceline.
This experience is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise others to be cautious when booking through Priceline, as their system failures can leave you without a place to stay and no support when you need it most.

One hour and 30 min on hold to change a missed spelled name. At the end they could not help because of an error code they couldn't figure out....wooow never booking through Priceline again.

Emerson handled my ticket from the Spirit collapse with absolutely professionalism. He was amazing and got me and my friend a ticket home without breaking the bank. Thank you Emerson!

We have used Priceline a few times and haven't had any issues in the past. But when an issue occurred on this current trip and I try to call they were not helpful at all. Not willing to accommodate our flights being canceled. The refund was a fifth of the cost of what a flight would cost. The flight was canceled the day before we were supposed to leave our vacation to go home. And now we have to figure out hotel stay, a rental car and a flight home with no assistance from Priceline at all. They need to improve their customer service. We booked this trip months in advance so we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for five people. And now our trip has ended up costing an additional $2,000 just to get home. After the cost of food and everything else it'll definitely go over that. Extra money we weren't planning on spending.
