Hotel booking randomly canceled less than 2 weeks before arrival.
I had my hotel booked with Priceline over 6 months in advance, I always call the hotels about 2 weeks before my arrival date to confirm that everything is okay. When calling the hotel, they told me that it had been canceled from priceline's end. I called Priceline to see what was going on and they got back to the hotel. The hotel then said that I called the hotel in personally to cance. This absolutely never happened. This runaround is making me replan where to stay on this trip planned half a year advance and I will never work with Priceline again. It's worth spending more money to just go direct to your hotel you want to stay at.

Use priceline if you want to triple your cost. Highly recommended if you have money to blow 🤣
Thanks Pricelie
Thanks Priceline. Or is is Pricelie?
I booked a car:
Sat, May 9 - Sat, May 9 at 'Green Motion' company,
Hollywood Intl Airport (FLL) Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Bait and switch scam! Told me they don't accept "foreign insurance", and then held me hostage to pay an additional $60 USD.
My insurance covers me worldwide. Period.
Blocked c.cards
Hi
I have booked an hotel but the my bank blocked all my credit cards for this website, I don't recommend to no one to used, also is very difficult to speak with someone
If I could give 0 stars
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I booked my flight and car reservation through Priceline which I thought was convenient. However, my flight ended up being delayed. Not foreseeing a problem, we arrived at the rental car company, and they considered us “late” and they told me my reservation was canceled. In turn, I was forced to pay an upgrade for an SUV, which is technically not an SUV of $80 additional a week. In addition I was told to pay an additional $290 for “administration” fees, which, I am not aware of what that covers. My return flight was also delayed. However, if I did not return the car within a certain time I would be charged therefore I spent eight hours at the airport, which was not an ideal end to my vacation. Priceline refuses to take responsibility and issue me a refund for what I consider out of my control, but feel penalized. This has completely hindered our vacation. DO NOT BOOK through Priceline. They will take advantage of you! Shame on you Priceline for not making it right to your customers. Never again.
A bunch of misdirection and miscommunication
We booked through Priceline which ended up magically being booked through Booking.com. THEN, 18 hours after the cancellation window closed, Spirit Airlines tells us that they're cancelling flights starting May 2, and our flight is May 15! We called Priceline where the confirmation came from. They tell us to call booking.com. After 30 minutes on hold, booking.com asks us for a pin number that never came with the reservation. Then they accidentally disconnect the call. Ultimately, I reached out directly to the hotel to see if we could be forgiven the 40% cancellation penalty given the extraordinary circumstances of the airline going out of business and being only 18 hours beyond the cancellation window. All of this trouble with the booking and reaching a live, understanding person related to the hotel is the reason for the low review. Priceline has become a bunch of smoke and mirrors as it relates to customer service.
Don't book through Priceline and don't rent a car from Ace. The quoted price was a scam
My wife and I are both in our 70s and she is disabled and uses a wheelchair. I booked a midsize SUV through priceline at Ace rental cars at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. When I arrived at the Ace counter at the airport, the car they said was a "midsize SUV" was in fact a subcompact, and I had to pay an additional $20 a day to "upgrade" to a Nissan Rogue, which is a compact SUV. The person at the counter also lied to me about the "tolling" option, which added an additional $111 to the bill. They also added some additional charges. The bottom line is that we wound up paying more than twice the amount I agreed to pay.

Lost reservation at the last minute, cost me $600
I booked a hotel through Priceline.com more than a month in advance. About a month later, just before my trip, I received an email saying my reservation had been canceled and that a different hotel was being offered instead. The only thing the replacement hotel had in common with the one I originally booked was that they shared one word in the name. They were not even remotely close to each other. The hotel I booked was in Barcelona, while the suggested replacement was in Florida, US.
Because the replacement made no sense, I ignored it and booked another hotel myself. The problem was that since I was booking a week in advance instead of a month, this cost me an extra $600. When I complained to the Priceline.com customer service about it, they responded with attitude, blamed me, and offered nothing meaningful beyond a promo code for a future trip that barely saved any money that I never even ended up using.
The lesson I took from this is not necessarily to avoid Priceline.com entirely, but to always confirm directly with the hotel if you book through them. Better yet, book with the hotel directly whenever possible to avoid this ever happening to you. As a bonus, some hotels sometimes offer even better discounts through their websites.
Predatory damage fees
Predatory damage fees – MEX Rent A Car (Sofia Airport)
Note for Priceline:
This review is strictly regarding the local rental provider and not the Priceline booking experience, which was seamless. I am posting this to warn Priceline and its customers about the predatory practices of this specific vendor.
The upfront rental cost via Priceline was very cheap (under $200 for a 13-day rental), but it appears this agency uses minor damage to generate their profit. When we returned the vehicle, they pointed out 4–6 minor surface scratches on the front and charged us $2,500. This is completely disproportionate and absurd for minor cosmetic marks.
If you are caught in this "damage trap," please know you can report them to the KZP (Commission for Consumer Protection) in Bulgaria. Companies like this rely on tourists not knowing their rights.
Luckily, we used a credit card with comprehensive auto coverage that covered this ridiculous bill, but I am still flagging this behavior to the regulators.
Avoid this location unless you have top-tier third-party insurance. Priceline should reconsider listing vendors that use these "damage trap" models.
Miss Trish
Miss. Trish was the best representative from Priceline. She helped me through the entire process and made numerous calls to resolve the issue. She is an outstanding employee, and I would highly recommend her to everyone. From now on, she will be our family’s travel agent. I truly appreciate all of her help and support. Thank you very much, Miss Trish. Looking forward to speaking with you again soon.

PRICELINE WORKS WITH BUDGET RENTAL TO…
PRICELINE WORKS WITH BUDGET RENTAL TO BAIT & SWITCH customers! I rented a EV from Budget through Priceline and unfortunately I prepaid. I arrived at the dealership to be told, not only did they not have the Tesla I rented… the had 0 EV’s…as a matter of fact, EV’s are always advertised at their location but none are ever delivered! What a rip off! I was told that the local budget rental only had SUV’s & that I could get a “free upgrade”. With gas prices at $4.60 a gallon, this was hardly an upgrade, more like a money grab!
Not only did they pull a bait and switch, they want 10 business days to return the money I paid for a car they KNEW was not at the location as advertised! Shame on Budget & PRICELINE! Liars & scammers
Contact Ackerley with Priceline when you have a "short fuse" for international travel or even when you don't
Ackerley was extremely helpful in identifying value-added options for an unplanned mission trip to Burundi, Africa. There were numerous reasonably priced options appearing online that disappeared before I could pay and confirm them. He secured one, for which I was grateful. I was even more grateful the next day to offer an option similar to what I had originally hoped for on an airline that I've travelled extensively with over the years. I have been doing business travel internationally since 1978 and I've been doing short term mission trips since 2001. Ackerley's competence and professionalism were refreshing.
STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE
STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE
I booked a trip to Hawaii one way on Delta and one way back on SouthWest. When my lodging reservations fell through I had to cancel both flights. Priceline told me that the trips were non refundable so I decided to use the credit on a round trip ticket to visit family one state over for less than the one way ticket to Hawaii was going to be. They told me it was impossible to turn a one way into a round trip even though the credit amount covered it with money remaining. I called Delta and Delta said SURE you can do a round trip AND we will refund you the rest of the remainder credit but since it was done through Priceline on a card number that is through them, you will have to contact them about that $310 refund. I called them and they said that they talked to Delta and didn't see any kind of refund. Sorry. I pulled up the email that Delta sent and everything and they were like oh well you need to call them. Then I called Southwest and although they confirmed that my tickets were nonrefundable they said that there was a way to ask for an extension on using the credit. Priceline said 6 months from booking date NO EXCEPTIONS. Southwest said you can request an extension up to 24 months from date of booking. Southwest said to call Priceline and tell them that. Priceline said "we can't do that on our side" call Southwest back. So basically Priceline will do anything and everything to keep your money if it turns out your trip has to change. I will never EVER EVER EVER use them again. I wouldn't recommend Priceline to my worst enemy.
Extremely sneaky
Extremely sneaky, advertised in Australia, but charged in USD, no mention of currency except when your just about to pay in small print at the bottom, then trying to get through to anyone to talk to is a AI mess. I wouldn't bother with them better services out there
Very disappointed
Very disappointed with Priceline’s customer service and handling of my refund request. I was unable to stay at the hotel due to severe weather conditions and provided written confirmation from the hotel verifying I never checked in, exactly as Priceline requested.
Despite submitting all required documentation and following up five separate times, I still have not received a meaningful response or resolution regarding my refund. The lack of communication, accountability, and urgency has been extremely frustrating.
Customers should not have to repeatedly chase down answers after fully complying with the process. I expected much better support and professionalism from a company of this size.
Bait and Switch
Bought 2 tickets for Frontier Economy, clearly stated on their website. When I received confirmation it was for Basic fare. I called Priceline and they sent me to Frontier. Frontier says Priceline has to fix it. In other words, I am out $316 in bag fees and no assigned seats. Typical case of bait and switch. Cannot cancel because I bought a bundle with a rental car. Never again will I use Priceline for anything!
Booked a morning flight got saddled…
Booked a morning flight got saddled with an evening flight and the made me pay 200$ to reschedule my flight for the one I originally booked.
Will never use Priceline again
I booked a round-trip ticket through…
I booked a round-trip ticket through Priceline. On my return flight, when I attempted to check in online, the flight was not confirmed. I contacted Priceline immediately, and they demanded an additional $278 to secure the ticket. After negotiation, I was still forced to pay $178.40 —otherwise they claimed I would risk **losing my flight at the last minute**.
This is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. It feels like Priceline and/or the airline created a situation where I was placed under last-minute pressure to pay more money, even though I had already purchased the ticket.
If there was a legitimate reason that the booking changed after I paid, then Priceline should have notified me in advance —not exactly at the point of check- I should not have been left with non clear explanation until the final moment, when I had no real ability to resolve the issue or avoid the extra cost.
